Hi there! I'm 28, a knitter, a nerd, a bookworm, a pet-mom, married 5 years. I like tea & coffee, baking and watching movies & tv. I love going to renaissance fairs. I have a bachelor's degree in History.

I've recently gotten into "filofaxing" and planners.

I like any mail, but here are a few things I'd like more than others:

history, cats, carousels, cupcakes, yarn, knitting, Harry Potter, pancakes, stars, snowflakes, renaissance faires, music boxes, ducks, foxes, owls, pinups, nerdy things

I like mostly rock music, but I'll listen to just about anything for a while. I'm not a huge fan of rap or country, I tend to only listen to classical when I've got a headache or feeling mellow to begin with, and I used to hate beach music (it's growing very very very slowly on me)

My all time favorites: MASH, Carnivale, Futurama

Ones I'm in the middle of or I've recently watched: Dexter, Jericho, American Dad, Bones, Star Trek: TNG, Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, Archer, Game of Thrones, Castle, Top Gear (UK), Fairly OddParents, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Arrow,

How can I ever list them all?

Authors I really like & often recommend: Tamora Pierce, Jacqueline Carey, JK Rowling, Kelley Armstrong, Laurell K Hamilton, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Alan Bradley, Terry Pratchett, Francesca Lia Block.

I've always been a big reader and am never not reading at least one book. My husband bought me a Kindle for the holidays about two years ago and I've loved being able to toss even a several thousand page book in my purse that way!

Yes:

Generally I stick to postcard swaps. I love postcrossing and I feel like they're great happy mail and low stress. Fancy it up or not, your mailbox is still getting fun stuff.

Eh... (Dislike... ish?):

I'm not keen on electronic swaps. I find that there are a lot of assumptions that everyone is on the same page and has the same info, so I generally avoid them now.
