I'm a newly single mum to a 19 month old boy. I live in Adelaide, and have been home looking after Felix since he was born, but circumstances now mean I have to head back to work.

I've had a bit of a bumpy year this year, what with unexpected relationship breakdowns and all that, but crafting has helped to slowly get me back on track and to focus on what matters - creating a beautiful, warm, loving life for me and my son.

I've found so much to be inspired by through blogging and virtually meeting other crafty types through the web, and would love to meet more through this ace pen pal swap.

I've been crafty ever since I was a little girl, but I especially love to sew, knit and crochet. Like most crafty gals, I have a bit of an addiction to buying beautiful fabrics.

I like making things for my little boy (pants, shorts, blankets etc), and have just finished my first quilt for a friend's new baby. Now that the fear factor has passed I'm looking forward to making my next one!

I also love craft books that inspire me to add more creativity into my daily living.

I've long been a passionate foodie with an interest in food history and cooking (and eating of course).

I've put this interest on hold a bit since having my son, but the plan is to start rediscovering my passions.

Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, Jane Eyre - all hold special places on my bookshelf and get pulled out for their once a year read.

The West Wing, Boston Legal, The United States of Tara, Glee! - generally something to make me laugh
