About Me

Good day from southern Georgia! My mama finally talked me into joining swap-bot, and I must say that she has gotten a great deal of enjoyment from the friends and swaps she's made on here. If you have a facebook, add me! I do have a myspace, but rarely ever check it.

Ahh...Mama said I should talk about me and the things I like. My name is Kerri; I'm 28. I have the most wonderful mother in the world, lol. :) I work full-time as a high school secretary, go to college full time. I'm about a year away from having my Bachelor's in Communication! :) I do photography on the side, as well. I volunteer with 4-H and the local mentoring program.

I laugh at everything, and have just a little quick-wit and dry sarcasm--I'm usually too busy laughing at what's already been said to come up with something on my own. I don't watch much tv, unless it's Food Network, Discovery, Andy Griffith or The Golden Girls.

I love all things southern, rustic, woodsy, moose and (recently) fox. I also like all other kinds of wildlife. My dining room and bathrooms are done in moose/bear/wildlife, actually. I like unique keychains and picture frames. I'm also big into polymer clay and love to make all kinds of things!

I like those hair sticks (hair accessories that look like chopsticks), and any cool texturing/shaping tools for my polymer. I'm somewhere between Baptist and Pentacostal, and love the Lord! I have several decorative crosses, and my favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 13 (the love chapter). I even have "Charity seeketh not her own" tattooed on my foot. But there's just something beautiful about the old Native American life.

I would love to find some Rebus puzzles for Mama, or unique kitchen gadgets. Our dog, Repo (we got him from the humane society--thus the moniker) is as hyper and hilarious as you can imagine.

I'm not sure what else I need to add. If I missed something, just let me know! God bless! ~Proverbs 10:12, Isaiah 6

Favorite Books

Reading is my most favorite hobby--Nora Roberts, JD Robb, and Diana Gabaldon are my favorite authors. I also like the People series by Michael W. and Kathleen O'Neal Gear. I have most of Nora's books, but very few of the JD Robb books. Usually I get those from the library.

Mostly I like books that are well written, with a great story. Suspense, romance, and life stories are my favorites. I don't read horror or science fiction, though. I'm not knocking them--I've just never developed an interest. :)

Thank you soooo much for the 'Baby Jesus' Polymer clay creation. It's part of our Jesse Tree/Nature Table for this month. He'll be presented to the kids on Christmas

By the way, I had your snowman polymer clay awesomeness hanging out and my friend came over and saw it in my craft room and busted out laughing saying that was the best thing she'd seen all week! Just thought you should know!

Welcome to the "there's a word for people like you! ;)" swap!

Hey there! For the winter inspiration swap, I love jewelry. I have an addiction for food jewelry (inediblejewelry.com) and have sushi earrings, steak earrings and a vegetable bracelet. I do have longer hair so hair clips and accessories are good. I always need bookmarks. I also like magnets. So, hopefully that helps and gives you some fun ideas!! Good luck and thanks for the question!

Hello georgiaraindrop! Welcome to Swap-Bot! You're going to have lots of fun here. I just did a private trade with your mother....what a great trader! I'm not sure I have anything you want, but would love to do a private trade sometime. :-)
