My name is Emily and I am in my last semester of college. I'm studying traditional animation and German. After I graduate, I'm planning to go to Germany for a year and teach English. I work in a costume shop and in my spare time I like to create things to sell on Etsy. I have a pet hedgehog and I love to knit, crochet, sew, bind books, play team trivia, read, bake, and try new things. My favorite thing to make is crème brulée.

I like subdued colors. Indigos, blues, burnt orange are some of my favorites. I also like geometric patterns and floral prints. I am a vegetarian and I love spicy food and candy, especially chocolate! My favorite spices to use are ginger and cinnamon.

I like to wear natural fibers and mostly neutral colors. I have a penchant for details and love handmade things. I wear a lot of scarves and hats, and I love wool socks! I wear a size Small/Medium, depending on the brand. Most of the time, I lean towards the Medium. I wear a size US 7 1/2 shoe.

I like all types of music. Some of my favorite bands are The Ditty Bops, Andrew Bird, Belle and Sebastian, Beck, and Oasis. I also like classic country music and folk music.

My favorite author is Douglas Adams. I really enjoy British humour. I also like Billy Collins, Sylvia Plath, David Sedaris, and Carl Hiaasen.

I love Hayao Miyazaki films. I also like Christopher Guest mockumentaries.

I don't have time to watch TV being a student and all! I haven't had cable in five and a half years.

I enjoy needlefelting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, bookbinding, papermaking, and embroidery. I love learning new crafting techniques!
