I'm a SAHM to four kiddos.... Eliana will be nine in October, David just turned six at the end of March, Caleb will be four in June, and Jaelle will be two at the end of August!. I love crafts of all kinds... quilting and sewing, crocheting, drawing, photography and more. I love nature, and am starting to use elements of nature and jewel tones to decorate my home. I collect crosses and esp. like ones that are unique or made with natural elements, like branches and stone. I have quite the sweet tooth and love almost all chocolates, esp. dark chocolates! I'm not a big fan of white chocolate, although it will do in a pinch. ;D I've been a part of several apron and bag swaps and loved the challenge of trying to use things in my stash to create something that someone else will love. It's inspiring to see everyone's creativity!! I'm looking forward to being a part of more swaps!!

Quilting is my favorite, followed closely behind by sewing clothes for my daughter and son. I love trying new patterns and taking them and tweaking them or combining ideas to make my own item. I've recently discovered "upcycling" and I am having so much fun sewing new items out of other things!I love photography, and would love to take some classes. I've dabbled in lots of other crafts, like jewelry making, cross stitch, drawing and painting and so much more! I LOVE Batiks! I also love bright colors and jewel tones. My favorite colors are purples, magentas and teals, but I also use burgundy red, navy blue and forest green to decorate my home. I love scrappy quilts and projects, and so I am not picky with fabrics. I can find a use for any color and style!

When I sew, I LOVE using variegated and brightly colored threads and would love to receive threads of any color! I love sewing notions of all kinds. My grandmother had an amazing collection of buttons, so I'm starting my own button collection and would love to receive buttons of any shape, color or size! I recently discovered binding clips to help hold the binding on quilts. I'd love to get more of these to use with my quilt projects! I'm dabbling more in embroidery, so it'd be fun to get some embroidery patterns. And any craft books, magazines and patterns of any kind are always fun to browse through and use for inspiration for projects!

I'm really eclectic and love a lot of different styles! My favorite is Alternative Christian, followed by world music. I lived in India for two years, so I really like Indian and Asian inspired music. I love Irish/Celtic music. And I like pretty much everything else, although I can only handle Country, Rap and Gospel in short bursts. I love trying out new music!

My absolutely favorite book is called "Dear and Glorious Physician" by Taylor Caldwell. I also love books by Linda Nichols and Beverly Lewis. My husband is turning me onto sci-fi. I really enjoyed reading "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card, and I plan to read the Bean series by him. I also have really enjoyed reading a lot of other random books... like "Midwife", "Lost & Found" by Jacqueline Sheehan, "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert, "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. We just moved, and so I've also been reading a lot of Organizing/Painting/Gardening books to help me fix up our home. And I'm outing myself as a fan of the Twilight series, as well as The Hunger Games series and the Divergent series. I have the "Little Stitches for Little Ones" book by Amy Butler and I'd love to get more of her books, as well as the "Bend The Rules Sewing" book. I LOVE reading craft books of any kind!

Again, I'm eclectic. I've enjoyed everything from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon, to Green Card, Notting Hill, The Notebook and Sleepless in Seattle. I also like the quirky and small independent ones, like The Ultimate Gift and Thank You For Smoking, and also documentaries, like Supersize Me.

I'm a big fan of Alias, 24, Lost, The Office, Battlestar, Firefly, Star Trek, Grey's Anatamy, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Next Top Model, Sherlock, Dr. Who, Call the Midwife and Downton Abby.

My daughter, Eliana LOVES horses, and is a budding artist. She loves to color and "write" notes to people. She loves stickers and actually sits still to put them in her sticker book "by myself!" She also loves music and loves to dance! David just turned six, and he loves gems, rocks and crystals, as well as anything about bugs and space. Caleb is almost four and he LOVES Diego, as well as Star Wars and Jake & the Neverland Pirate. Jaelle is 19 months old and she loves music and board books. I call her my little Mountain Goat, since she is a big climber and is fearless!

I appreciate the time and hard work that people put into making things. I'll never be critical of anything that someone makes, and I hope that people like the things that I make!
