I sew, knit, make jewelry, and the whole time I am at work I am dreaming about what craft I could be doing at home. Recycling and repurposing items is important to me - I love vintage fabric, trims and especially buttons.
I can listen to most music but I come back time and time again to the 70's and 80's stuff I grew up on. I try not to look sheepish when I admit that I could (and do) listen to disco all day.
Books are a passion for me. I'm pretty sure the last time I moved the books took up more space than the furniture. I used to read a lot more fiction, but currently am addicted to historical works especially those focused on science, exploration and medicine. Polar exploration is fascinating!
I'm single but come from a large family and have 14 nieces and nephews whom I love whole-heartedly. I work in IT and enjoy the challenges of my job. I live in a small-ish town outside of Toronto, Ontario.
I gravitate to the cool side of the spectrum and especially love purples, turquoises, blues and greens. I can see the beauty in most colours, except neon brights.
I have shells and pebbles from every beach I've ever been on and it's what I ask people to bring back for me when they go someplace with a beach. I also love cream and sugar sets. My eyes are always drawn to the cream jugs in a display of china.
I love the taste and smell of all citrus fruits, apples, strawberry, mango and cherry. I intensly dislike the smell and taste of raspberry, watermelon, grape and coffee. I drink a lot of tea and prefer good old fashioned black tea, but love the occasional chai tea, green tea, Earl Grey, English and Irish Breakfast. Less frequently I enjoy the fruit flavored teas. I prefer white chocolate to dark although I enjoy any cream filled chocolates in fruit flavors.
