About Me

I am a 45 year old woman. I have Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Panic Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I live in Vermont. I couldn't survive without my computer, and my kitty, Nymeria! I am looking to make new friends. I only have a couple friends and I'm lonely! I tend to be quiet and shy when first getting to know people.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia on 4/5/12 by my rheumatologist, and it makes exercise hard.

Things I love: The color pink (pink everything! Extra points if it glitters or sparkles, lol), I also like purple and black, depending on the item...stickers for older girls (think Hello Kitty maybe, not Sesame Street) or women, Wolves, Foxes of all colors, Roses, Lilacs, Harry Potter stuff, cupcake stuff (stationery, etc. with cute cupcakes), Smash books or junk journals (I also enjoy looking at completed/filled ones), Fancy pens, Stationery items!! These make me happy for some reason: New pens, clicky pencils, highlighters, notebooks, etc. in fun/pretty colors and patterns, not just plain ones....I love pretty bags, boxes, containers...stuffed animals, delicate jewelry NOTE: I am allergic to Nickel, but prefer silver over gold...Nene Thomas, Rose Thompson, beads (except tiny/seed beads), Facebook (keeps me up to date with family and the friends I have), Irish or Celtic stuff (but non religious), cool pins, pretty, cute, or sexy witches (no warts please), fall/autumn things...(scents, decorations, pumpkin scented or flavored stuff!!)...Princess Diana...she was my hero...Demi Lovato is a current hero

DISLIKES: Friendship books, Label bags, etc...I don't do these, so please don't send them! Vintage/old items, hot/spicy food, I can't chew nuts, no religious items (unless Pagan), skulls, felt, pompoms, google eyes, used postage stamps. CANNOT do nail polish, the smell makes me sick!!! ALSO: I am very low income, so would welcome surprises, but please understand I will be sticking to fairly low cost swaps for a reason. I won't send you junk, but I won't normally be spending $25 on a single swap either.

for bath/body type items, I like sexy scents with hints of amber or such for perfumes. I like body wash in floral scents. Nothing with a lot of moisturizing as I am prone to acne. I like pretty floral or girly scented hand lotions. No "fresh clean" scents. No makeup please. I love "grown-up" temporary tattoos!

Favorite Music

Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Bon Jovi, Disturbed, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio, Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Imagine Dragons, Jason Mraz, Poison, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Celtic Woman, The Green Children, and many more!

Favorite Books

The Harry Potter Series, The Twilight Series, Little Women, The Thirst Series, Wiccan books, Gone With the Wind, memoirs/autobiographies of people with mental illnesses, books about doctors/nurses...I enjoy "young adult" books too, and just love reading.

Wishlist

Pusheen the Cat items. Pretty keychains or magnets, not silly ones. I collect them. I also collect interesting buttons, not just plain/regular ones. Washi tape...you can never have too much Washi! Things made with/scented with lavender. I find it very soothing. It helps with my anxiety...I like fidget items for this reason as well. I am constantly wearing a necklace or ring or using something I can "fidget".

I would love Irish stuff, though not religious things. I am Wiccan/Pagan, not Christian.

Earrings (these HAVE to be nickel free as I am very allergic to Nickel) in posts or small dangle ones.

SWAPS

I am limiting myself....as much as I love looking at journals and Smash books and such others have done...as much as I love reading letters from others...I will no longer participate in these kinds of swaps. I am good at putting packages or envelopes together. I enjoy giving and receiving surprises. But when life gets hard and my mental illnesses rear up, I panic, and time-intensive things such as journals get left behind. I actually freaked out and destroyed the last journal I was working on when I became homeless during that time. I will no longer work on them since I can't always keep my promises where those are concerned.

You sound fun :) We are close in age. I was drawn to your profile from looking at your swap you just created. (I always check out the swap master to see if I can make new friends!) We have some in common (some not in common too lol)

I am so sorry that I forgot to put the note with our Traditions in it... We put our tree together on Thanksgiving, Circle of Lights in Downtown Indianapolis , the day after., (we just got home from that!) and this weekend we will take our grandchildren and our children to Christmas at the Zoo... Then we will bake and deliver goodies all over the city as my 7 year old Michael loves to "Bless others"... It is truly a joy!!!!!

Happy Birthday to you! Say, if you'll PM me with your address, I'll send you a blank journal (to make up for the one you didn't get). I have a couple of spares that are waiting for good homes. Better late than never! =smile=

Welcome to District 13! :) So glad you've joined us.

I have to say, I really liked the Sweep series too, until the last book--which made me really mad. After you know what happens, I nearly threw my Kindle across the room and swore I would never read any of that author's books again! And then she sort of redeemed herself, but...not really. (Obviously, I still haven't forgiven her.)

Thanks for the "ultimate Year of Happy Mail#17 RAK". I love the collection of goodies! The tags will work on a project I am working on now and the quotes - esp. the African proverb: If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room." I can image all sorts of pics to go with that! Thanks so much for sending! Sandy
