Writing Utensils (pens & pencils): as I said, I'm a writer, and as I write mostly by hand, these always come in handy. I like funky/weird ones, or any that you find particularly awesome for writing.

Scrapbooking supplies: I am not picky. I love doing it, but I don't have many supplies. Paper, scraps you have lying around, stickers, etc.

Quotes: I'm a big collector. Your favorites, especially if they are written/decorated in a cool way and can be hung up on my wall, are always a plus.

Postcards: especially ones for where you live. I haven't traveled much, but I have a postcard collection that includes cards from twelve different countries (all from friends) and I would love to add more from different states/regions/countries.

Food-wise: I really like chocolate, especially chocolate and peanut butter combinations, or chocolate covered pretzels. I love peanut M&Ms, skittles, Mr. Good Bars, and pink and orange Starburst. I'd also love to try candy that I can't get in the U.S.

Weird/quirky stuff: I am always on the look out for cool things, like weird newspaper articles or odd objects that are just cool to look at.

I'm very open-minded and friendly, and I like trying new things, so if you think "I like this, maybe she will, too," I will, at the least, enjoy the experience.

I'm very liberal, socially and economically and politically, and I'm also not religious. As I said, I'm open-minded about other beliefs and cultures, but I don't want to be "converted," you know what I mean?

I'm not very "girly": I wear mostly guys' clothing, I don't wear make-up, I have very short hair, etc. I do, however, like the color pink and some stereotypically "feminine" pastimes, such as knitting, baking, scrapbooking, etc., but I'm really not into Lisa Frank/Hello Kitty type of stuff.
