About Me

I enjoyed receiving mail growing up, and am tired of dropping the majority of my mail in the recycle bin after getting it from the mailbox. :-)

I am a stay-at-home-mom of two boys who are 6 and 8. I'm interested in teaching them about geography and stamp collecting through post card/pen pal exchanges.

Favorite Books

I don't get as much time to read as I'd like, but my favorite authors are Debbie Macomber, Jennifer Weiner, and Nora Roberts. I got a Nook last Christmas, and love being able to pick out books from our library from the comfort of my easy chair.

Favorite Crafts

I like to do needlework. I am currently working on a cross stitch sampler for our newest niece (who will be 1 in October!), and knitting slippers that our church will donate to a local Men's Veteran's Home.

Favorite Music

Music of the 80's, mainly, as that's when I grew up. I've spent the last 8 years listening to a lot of Children's CD's (Sesame Street, Kidz Bop) so I don't know many of the newer artists LOL!

Comment: Great post card. Thanks for trying to get them here on different days, that was really nice. I got them a few days apart actually... my po box is flooded so it makes it more interesting to get mail but I keep on swapping anyway.

Comment: Got your postcard today, definitely helped brighten my day. My area made out fairly well with Irene actually but Lee kicked our butt. We've had the worst flooding this area has ever seen and everything around here is so somber.. there's so much destruction everywhere and people's lives are sitting out on the curb, it's sad.
