i'm a mama of 3 wee little ones--> two boys and one girlie girl (all ages 4 and under) :) and a wife to an amazing man ;) i am a full-time mama, although i do get to sneak away for part of the week to a job outside my home. most of my days i like to enjoy life and laugh~ currently i've been interested in mixed-media art charms. i love the idea of 'breathing' life into old objects. i like to think of the people that once owned them and how their lives were. my mama says i'm a grandma trapped in a young person's body! i suppose i am :)

colored glass bottles~ old books, postcards, photos,silverware~ tea-stained anything~ sparkly things~ birds, especially blue~ vintage buttons~ seashells (i live in OHIO for crying out loud...i would LOVE to have the ocean close by!! so seashells are a wonder and little treasure to me~ random glass beads~ odd shaped rocks~

i've been into indie music lately. john mark mcmillan and sarah mcmillan are my favorites now, as well as ingrid michaelson. i like just about anything in moderation (except heavy metal--although i used to--i can't get into it anymore!) anything relaxing

my most favorite book is the Bible. it's illuminating and everytime i read it, i feel warm and hopeful inside.i need those words. i also like The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery. i spend a lot of time reading children's books and i love them because of all of their color! i also like old books, especially ones with someone else's notes and scribbles in it! i prefer a non-fiction book over a fiction one, but i do like to sit down to a suspensful mystery sometimes.

the Lord of the Rings trilogy! the Grinch. Sense and Sensibility. really, they are very random. if i like a movie, it means i can watch it over and over and usually not tire of it. i haven't watched a new movie in a long time. a date nite is a rare occurance here lately in our house!!

i love hgtv and crafting shows: B. Original, That's Clever. i also get sucked into Lost and American Idol from time-to-time!

i love jewelry making! i've really wanted to start soldering my own pendants and work with metal more, as well as random found objects. i like the challenge of making something from nothing. i love to find objects at thrift stores and flea markets and give them new life. i like to watercolor paint with my boys and i enjoy doing collage. sometimes i'll even get in a crochet-mode and make some scarves and hats. i like learning new things and techniques. i'm always researching a way to do something new. i like to scrapbook, but i can never get into it for long before i get interested in something else

i've noticed that some people have short-novels about themselves, but it makes sense, because you have no idea who i am and what i might like...so here are a few other things i love ~chocolate~ LOVE LOVE LOVE i like to have a little bit of it every day! ~coffee--a grande mocha from starbucks is my favorite and if it's cold, i like it mixed with brownie/chocolate pieces!! ~my favorite color is BLUE. but i also like green, red, and pink and lavendar too. ~my favorite cookie is chocolate chip. ~my favorite junk food is pizza with pepperonis, sausage, and bananna peppers--closely followed by a burger and fries ~my favorite drink is water ~FOOD is one of my most favorite things in life ~my Jesus and my family are the most important things to me ~i love the outdoors and a night sky filled with a million stars and the moon ~i love the smell of pine trees ~i adore Christmas--it's my favorite holiday ~my favorite season is the autumn because i love the feelings of the football games (excitement and love) and the smells of the bonfires and the sights of the leaves. the fall time reminds me of falling in love ~my hubby is my best friend. he likes to work with his hands. we both used to own a roofing company, but left it for a less-stressful life. we like to talk and laugh with each other. ~i went to college and i value what i learned there, but i think there is much to be learned in everyday living ~i am a daughter, i used to be a sister (my brother passed away when he was 19), i am a wife, a friend, and a mama. ~'ank' stands for my initials before i was married. my initials now are 'ans' ~i enjoy life and yes, i get stressed. when i get 'wiggy' i usually like to 'chill out' by having some quiet time to myself and usually i read up in my beading mags or do a little creating ~hopefully this helps you get to know me more!!
