February 20 2008 - (I have been away for a while because of personal issues ... so I am slowly coming back. Please be patient.)

I am a 37 year old mom and wife. I have known my husband for almost 15 years and have been married for almost 7.

I have two little girls. 5 and 3.

And we all live in Houston, TX.

I joined Swap-bot the first week of September 2007 and I already am having so much fun. You should see me when I check the mailbox. My letter/parcel/postcard doesn't even make it to the front door because I am already opening it/reading it on my way back to the house. THIS is what makes this swap so fun.

• I have been collecting pigs since I was 15. Practically anything with pigs. And pig figurines. (And I would absolutley love anything Pippo from long time ago Sanrio. Very hard to find now.)
• Squished Pennies
• Collecting postcards. I love postcards. Any kind of postcards.
• Fun socks. Anything whimsical and fun. I am infamously known for my offbeat socks, thus making me different. Which is fine
• Gift tags.
• Fun paper / stationery / envelopes / notecards
• Stickers
• Markers
• Hearts
• Pigs
• Alphabet stickers
• Cloth ribbon / Any ribbon
• Buttons
• Items with my name on it "Maria" or items with the letter "M". Anything personalized.
• Lotions, especially scented ones like mango, cucumber, and grapefruit scents. Just different scents, not the same ones you see all the time like rasberry, etc.
• Scented hand sanitizers.
• Dishcloths and hand towels.
• Flavored coffee and tea. Both hot and iced!
• Claude Monet.
• And did I mention pigs ...

I used to listen to Top 40 kind of stuff, soft rock, pop, but as of late it has been consisting of High School Musical and Dora.

And I think I will forever be an 80's girl.

Again, I love reading old classics ... you know, the stuff they made you read and analyze in Junior and Senior high school.

But now the books I get to read are the books I read to my girls.

I am a sucker for those drama movies that just make you cry and cry and cry. I also try to see what's current, but I can tell you that I have seen every single kids movie that has been out.

24, Lost, Top Chef - Luckily I have DVR and I can watch those later.

I recently started watching Grey's Anatomy. I still am playing catch up.

I wish I had more time to indulge myself in "my crafts". It's been a sideline hobby of mine. I do have "craft time" with my girls all the time, though. So much that my five year old wants to be a "craft artist" when she grows up.

But I loved decorating gift tags, making collages, decoupage, etc.

I want to start making ATC's. It looks like so much fun.
