2/28/12 I'm sorry to say that due to financial issues I have to leave Swap Bot. I'm hoping it's only a temporary thing, but for now we are looking at ways to cut back.
Thank you to everyone who swapped with me and those who allowed me to join your swap groups.
I enjoy swapping so will try to cut it back to swapping things that I can make or have little or no cost other than shipping, which I will have to be careful with too. ~ Bonnie aka mbhp12
I have been married for 28 years. We have a wonderful daughter, who is grown and does not live at home.
We have 2 dogs, Zoe, a black and white sheltie and Maya Key, a liver and white English Springer Spaniel, she is a hunting dog. Both live in the house with us.
We also have a cockatiel, Nodak. I am originally from North Dakota, which is how we came up with his name. In addition to being a jerk (I say that lovingly) he can say one thing .... "Hi Nodak" humm wonder where we went wrong. LOL
I love our house. It is small, just enough to try to keep clean sigh. It is in a rural setting. We have flowers on our deck and a garden out back in the summer, it's lovely. However in the winter most years we get over 200 inches of snow a season. No really it's true. No matter what I still love home.
And .......... I love my life.
I enjoy crafting and will gladly try anything at least once. I have done sewing, cross stitch, calligraphy, beading, latch hook, plastic canvas, rubber stamping, tole painting, zentangle, etc. I put etc because I know I missed something.
I probably still have most if not all of the stuff for each craft listed above, so that I could pick each one up at any time. (That statement made me laugh out loud because it is so true.)
In Nov 2007 I picked up a new bug and it's one I hope to not get over. It's tatting. (view my blog to see more about tatting)
It is my craft of choice, but I will always enjoy sewing. As for sewing fabric postcards are my favorite. Small instant gratification and I enjoy sharing my crafts so that's an excellent way to do it.
Mostly I enjoy sharing what I make with others. I keep very little for myself.
I love color, every color of the rainbow and then some. I thrive on it. Even the colors that others may not consider fun, such as black, brown and white, are wonderful to me.
If I had to pick a favorite color I'd have a hard time with that. Okay now I'm trying to think of a favorite color to say and when I do it's not a favorite, it's a combination of colors, blue and yellow or black and white, or the color that coffee turns when a bunch of creamer is added to it, or the color the sun gets when it's yellow meets the earth as it's rising or setting and it makes that beautiful color - how do you even discribe that color?
You get the idea, I just love color.
I greatly enjoy plants, especially plants that flower. I'd have to say my favorite flower is the daffodil. I enjoy seeing them pop up in the fields on my rural drive to work in the spring.
I love chocolate! Not flavored though, like not mint chocolate or orange chocolate. I really like the basic ones, milk and dark. Oh yeah and I really enjoy the new Pretzel M&Ms, something about the salt and sweet yum.
Tattoos. I have many, and my husband and daughter each have many. I like classy tattoos, not the skull and cross bone type, but the ones that people have put thought into. I currently have 7 tattoos, and although I like them all my favorite is our daughter's first name in her hand writing in her favorite color on my heart, and she was with me when I had it done, so it was a daugher/mother bonding time.
Natural lip balms. I can't do anything that is petroleum based, so I am always on the look out for new ones. *** I'd be interested in swapping with people from countries other than the US to see what natural ones are available to elsewheret. If interested please PM me.
I adore paper and pens.
For paper, I enjoy all paper, from post it note to paper to use in my crafting. I like different color paper, or just "plain" writing tablet paper with a fun cover.
For pens - fine point black is my preference, but anything that writes is good. I have some that are odd shapes, for example, flower shape, or big around and long. Fun.
Pencils - I have a big collections of odd or in some way different pencils that I could never bear to sharpen and use. For instance I have some that are shaped, one is a moose head and one is made from a flexable type and is tied into a knot. They set on my desktop just to give me a smile when I look at them.
Office supplies: love them! I greatly enjoy fun shaped paper clips, or colored staples, or desk top containers to keep my "finds" in, things like that.
I have long thick hair so I enjoy putting fun things in it, flowers, head bands, clips, etc.
One of my dislikes is when people wear so much perfume that I feel like I'm eating it if I am even in the same room with them.
I dislike cut flowers, seems like such a waste of a perfectly good flower, because it's going to die sooner than if it had been left alone.
I can't do strong perfumy scents, so only boring hand lotions for me, and faint scented cologne. This also includes candles. Although I greatly enjoy them, they can't be over powering or I'll get a headache. We usually do a citrus type smelling candle or hazelnut which is my favorite.
This isn't a dislike it's just something I can't do. I can not have anything to do with real milk, so no hot chocolate packs that have to be mixed with milk, that kind of thing.
County is my music of choice, not so much the old time stuff, but definatley the current style.
And let me tell you, Elvis sure could sing back in his day. And although I was only about 8 when he died, I think he was hot when he was young. I have an Elvis Gospel CD, love it.
My favorite can-not-miss show is Deadliest Catch.
But I also enjoy After The Catch, Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, Swamp People (gotta love Troy!), all tattoo shows, such as the new NY Ink. Wow that's alot and it's only some of them, does that mean I'm a couch potato, yugh
crafting - reading - using cloth napkins - paper - natural lip balms - flavored coffee or packets of flavoring for coffee - packets of flavoring for water - gum - fun buttons (spaded or color or vintage) - shaped post it type notes - cards (note cards or thank you cards) - ANYTHING hand made - tatting thread & shuttles - ribbons - Chocolate! - stickers (not teacher type stickers though) - using totes (for work or shopping .. love totes) (swapping totes is one of my favorites, PM me if you'd be interested in doing a private tote swap.)

I will think on it but I'm leaning towards adding them to a garment I can wear and therefore show off your beautiful work. Thank you so much for making my day with this wonderful package. Kaye
