I'm 28 and live in Seattle. I love tea, food, blogging, knitting, drawing, music, and adventures.

I work in the tech industry and live with my boyfriend and cute but stupid orange cat Leroy.

I just joined and am looking to swap mainly food-related gadgets, sweets, knitting things, tea, art, and music.

My Favorite Creative Exercises:

*Cooking: Even though I enjoy new recipes and read recipes for fun, I really love to invent new ones and experiment in the kitchen. For some reason I'm just not afraid to take chances with cooking, so it's become one of my favorite things to do. I wouldn't mind participating in an ambitious cooking swap, but I really look forward to swapping sweets or special grocery items from other countries. Or even just recipes!

*Music: I love new music. I love old music. I like mashed up music, slow, hardcore, trippy, just all kinds of music....especially if it's good. :) One of my hopes is to participate in a song swap, where someone writes songs just for the swap, and I do the same. That would be pretty amazing, but I'm also looking forward to participating in some mix tape swaps, especially where the mix tells a story.

*Comics: I adore telling stories through comics. I'm not an amazing comic artist, but I've been making them for a while, just for myself for fun. I'm ready to share them with others now, and not be such a perfectionist/shy about them. Let's exchange stories through our honestly-drawn comics.

*Knitting: I love to knit, especially with natural fibers. I have plenty of yarn to swap, and I've created patterns I'd like to swap, too. Want to swap small knitted items like hats or socks? I'm down!

My favorite music right now is LCD Soundsystem, Beach House, Kinski, Autechre, Andrew Bird, Grizzly Bear, The Beatles, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Terrene, Deerhoof, Blonde Redhead, Camera Obscura, The Beach Boys, Do Make Say Think, Wilco, Caribou....I mean, I listen to a lot of music, but those are just some recent listens.

I want to hear original music, and I want to swap music I make with other people making their own. It would make me a happy girl.

I would also swap thrift-store music; the thrill of an oddball polka band record with an insanely-clad group of children on the cover, for instance, is one that cannot be duplicated in any other realm.

I read books about philosophy, artificial intelligence, linguistics, atheism, computer science, and history. So yeah, I pretty much stick to non-fiction, because I want to know everything. But I also am fond of Vonnegut, Oscar Wilde, O. Henry, David Sedaris, and others. I just prefer to be tripped out by reality most days.

I like most teas, and prefer loose-leaf organic tea. My favorite tea is black tea, whether plain or flavored. I drink mainly green or white tea at work, though, because I don't like to fuss with the milk and sugar there. :)

My least favorite teas are herbals, but I really REALLY dislike herbal fruity teas.

I love to collect tea pots, creamers, and sugar pots. Oh, and infusers! I adore cutely shaped infusers.

I am not allergic to any foods. I love all food. I honestly cannot think of one food I wouldn't eat.

That said, my FAVORITE flavors are: Hazelnut Pecans Coffee Green tea (matcha) flavor Mochi Tiramisu Shortbread Cherry Grapefruit Watermelon Creme fraiche
