I have been a nurse for 24 years and worked with the elderly for 36 years. I have an associate in Science in Nursing, a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and I am currently working on my MS in Applied Gerontology. I live on Cape Cod very close to the ocean. The ocean is my favorite place to be. I love to walk the beach and collect shells, rocks, and sea glass. I love to ride my bike, walk and hike. I roller blade the Cape Cod Canal which I also love. I have three boys. One lives in heaven, one in Miami (22y.o. working on his Ph.D.), and the other works for Coach in NY. I live alone in a house too big for one person but have one bedroom for son's visits, a guest room/exercise room and an art studio. I will be 50 soon but feel 20. I refuse to be, dress, or act like an old lady. i am currently looking for a job, hopefully writing i Gerontology and/or in the creative arts. I have a doblack pug, Ginger and two cats Wicket and Gizmo.

I currently write one blog about jewlry making and other crafts. I am new at it so it probably will improve. I will soon be starting another blog about the "End-of-life: Death and Dying." This is one of the fields in Gerontology I am an expert in. The other field is Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias, in which I am certified qualified dementia care provider as well as a certified qualified dementia care specialist, through the Alheimer's Association.

I design jewelry, multi-media paintings, make cards. I crochet, sew, and quilt. I hate RAP and opera. I love books and do some book binding. Don't do much television watching. Rarely watch movies. I really enjoy gardening and working on my yard. I collect china tea cups, postcards stamps, things with cats, unusual miniatures and perfume bottles. (probably collect more, just can't think of anymore at the moment.)

I have many allergies so please do not send me anything cosmetic such as soaps, shampoos, conditioners, make-up, lipgloss, nail polish, etc. I am also allergic to Nickel, peaches, walnuts and latex (includes no rubber or elastic)

I love dark royal plum purple and dark royal green. A little pink, black, and gold would go with most of my things.

I love odd things to make jewelry with. I also love broken jewelry and watches.

I do many crafts but NO scrapbooking so I prefer if craft items can be used in mixed-media projects, or for card making.
