I'm 37 and currently live outside of Asheville, NC with my fiancee, his 16 year old son and my 8 year old little boy. We live in Transylvania county (muah-ha-ha ~evil laughter~ home of the white squirrel and over 200 waterfalls. LOVE it here! I currently stay at home and take care of the house and all my boys! When I'm not cooking, cleaning and running errands, I'm crafting up some sort of thing or other. I have a warm fuzzy side to my personality, but I do have a wild streak in me as well I love to attend motorcycle rallys and am happiest when the wind is blowing through my hair! I grew up around motorcycles, so it will always run through my blood. I'm also an avid knitter and reader....when it comes to knitting, I prefer to work with natural blends, wool, alpaca, silk, bamboo, cotton...I LOVE sock knitting and also enjoy knitting cotton dishclothes. Instant gratification! For the benefit of the swaps, I love the warm color's pink and red, etc. But then again...I love blue, green and purple! Guess I'm not too picky, as long as there is color involved! I like to view the world through rose colored glasses :) When it comes to scents, I'm a fan of spicy, citrus, fruity and floral: jasmine, honeysuckle, orange blossom and lillac are yummy! Soap...I prefer natural/handmade soaps, as the mountain air is very drying and the chemicals in commercial soap is brutal on my skin... Regarding chocolate...not a big fan~ I've always preferred hard candies. I love coffee and tea, the stronger the better! I love to try new blends and roasts. I tend to be a dreamer, so the fairie realm has always appealled to me. I guess if I had to choose a path, I would align myself with the Goddess. I consider myself Pagan but sadly have not had the time or energy lately to devote myself to it. I love anything with wings! Dragons, dragonflies, butterflies, owls, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, sparrows, falcons, fairies...anything that flies! ( I have 11 tattoos that all include wings...go figure!) I love old picture books that are falling apart and don't mind being altered :) I love Viking lore and mythology, anything Celtic...ummmm... I'm all over the place! (Typical Aquarian female:) I'm also a fan of old-school pin-up girls and poster art, sparkly things (yes, I'm a magpie), lip gloss and mermaids.
I do have a darker side and love old Victorian Era gothic pics, books, etc., zombies, turn of the century carnies and circus freaks, werewolves, bats, spiders, ghosts, spooky creepy crawly things, classic villains... sooooooo... I have a very broad taste of things when it comes down to it! When I'm out Thrift Store shopping, I always gravitate towards the book section and the handmade linens sections. I love old embroidered napkins, handknit or crocheted doilies and potholders, old frames, old postcards and greeting cards, old books with pictures that I can use for my ATC's (I don't believe there is anything too strange for my tastes!), nature photography, odd embroideries.
