it seems there's not a way to respond to a response without leaving a comment... so, yeah, my boyfriend is hashing out the deal to write a fairy related book. the manuscript is due in a year and then i guess it will take a while to print and get out on the shelves, but i'm so excited and proud of him! he's aiming to write another fairy book just after. one more serious and one more ridiculous. :-)

I wished you were here right now! In my city we have the Elf Fantasy Fair this weekend and you would have loved it... Alle those people dressed up as Fantasy figures, I've seen Alice in Wonderland, Jack Sparrow and many more famous figures...
And ofcourse a large bookstand, with books by your favorite authors... Some new fantasy authors were their to sign their books too...
The eiffel tower really is amazing, especially when you stand underneath it and look up...
Do you find Tolkien takes awhile to get into? I read the Hobbit years ago and found 5 chapters later I still hadn't gotten used to his writing style. I powered through it and it was an amazing story, but I couldn't believe it took so long to acclimate to his writing. Have you read Clive Barker? I know he's considered a grocery store novelist, but he wrote a book called Imajica years ago and I've read it twice and bought both the paperback and the hard cover. If you like fantasy, I think you'd like this book.
I've always wanted to go to Japan. Had even considered teaching English there 2 years ago. It's awesome that that's what you chose to do. Experiencing different cultures is so much fun. It must be great living in another country. How long are you there for?
