After being inactive for some months, I'm excited to start swapping once again! The reason for my inactivity was because life had become very hectic and busy for me and I worried that I would miss a due date or be unable to send out my swaps on time (even though this has never been an issue in the past). Fortunately though, my days have been a lot more calm now thank goodness, and I can't wait to begin swapping! :D
My name is Lizzy :) I'm currently a 22 year old college student who's studying criminal psychology, with a minor in anthropology. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California (and live there til this day). I love learning new languages, it's an absolute beautiful thing. At the moment, I'm only fluent in English and Spanish, but I hope to improve my German as well. To me, every new language learned opens up a portal- one where you're able to communicate with new groups of people. It expands your knowledge & possibilities, plus it's so fascinating! :) I don't have any pets at the moment, but I had a zoo growing up (okay not literally, but I had all sorts of pets from dogs and cats, to turtles and bunnies). When I'm not working on my studies, you can easily find me reading a book at a quiet coffee shop (or at home curled up with a cup of coffee & replying to my penpal letters), binge watching a new favorite TV show, spending some quality time with my family, or wandering around the sleepless city of L.A.
As far as interests go, well I'm practically all over the place haha for starters- I love to read :) I'll read anything from YA to a good horror book. I also like hiking, camping, and going on road trips; basically anything involving the wondrous outdoors. Sightseeing, crafting (snail mail in particular), baking, and photography are also high up on my list :) And my absolute favorite colors are rose gold and pastels :)
As far as music goes, I seriously can't live without it :) My taste in it is quite broad too, but some of my all time favorite genres have to be; rock, alternative, electro, pop, indie, and even classical and instrumental for times when I feel like relaxing or studying.
My biggest dream is to travel the world. I believe that travelling is not just for pleasure, but also serves as a learning experience in many ways. Any fellow wanderlusters out there? :)
Some things on my bucket list:
Travel the world.
Study abroad in Europe.
Become fluent in at least 5 different languages.
Write a book.
Go on a good old fashioned roadtrip across the U.S..
"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
"We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us."
"To me, a rich and satisfying life means one full of contrast. Give me sleep ins. And soft rains. Coffee shops and conversation. But also adrenaline and adventure. And drunken bellows to the stars. I am determined to embrace this extravagant life for all that it has to offer."
Beau Taplin// A Disparate Life
I first began my crafting journey about a year ago through snail mail. I love it, it's been one of the best experiences that I've come across in my life. Snail mailing with my penpals has inspired me creatively, as well as in many other areas. Some of my favorite things to create are flipbooks (still quite new at this), small pencil pouches, bookmarks, tags, handmade cards, envelopes, drawings & soft pastel artwork, envelope/mail art, and of course snail mail (my favorite).
Although I haven't been crafting for as long as a majority of the talented people on here, I do put a lot of thought, effort, and love into the things that I create and send. I hope to get inspired along this journey, with every swap that's exchanged and through each of my swap buddies :)
My favorite colors are pastels, neutrals, and rose gold :D

There are some things I'm not a fan of, and I'm not trying to offend anyone, but everyone has their own preferences as well as dislikes, and I completely respect that so I hope you'll do the same for me :)
Receiving tea (I'm quite picky with it)
Kpop or anime
Emoticon related things
Sport related items
Teacher reward stickers
Things with strong scents
Items with bad chemical smells
Items that are dirty or in bad shape/condition
I joined this website to have fun and make people smile upon receiving one of my absolute favorite things in the world: happy mail. With that said, I will never flake on a swap. I click "send" the very same day that I mail swaps off. However, I know that sometimes mail can get lost or delayed, so please message me first before rating. If you have any concerns whatsoever, please contact me firstly so that I can figure out if there's an issue. Ultimately, if a swap never makes it to its destination (which would be tragic- but has happened to me with a few penpal letters), I am more than willing to send a new one! :)
Happy swapping, everyone!
