I am married to my wonderful husband and we are celebrating 17 years this August! Have four children - 16-13-12-10, 3 boys and my baby girl. Just taking things one day at a time.........
I send out all of my swaps, I rate as soon as I receive them, if you have any questions, please contact me. I am new to this site, but it has been a lot of fun so far and I don't plan on going anywhere!
After working for the same company for 17 years, they have closed. I have since started back to school to become a RN and help the people in my community. I am very excited about my new adventure regardless of how long it takes!!
I just recently started scrapbooking. I belong to a club that meets every 3 months, but it just seems to take so long to get to the next meeting!
My best friend and I just made homemade Christmas cards and tried to sell them at a church bazaar, lots of fun! Since then I have been hooked on card making. I love swapping cards, but I must admit, I appreciate handmade cards much more than I do store bought cards. I try to avoid swaps that allow store bought cards.
My crafting devices include a Cricut baby bug, Cricut Expression (I call him "Big E"), Gypsy, and a Cuttlebug, just got the Cuttlebug and the kids and I are in love with it! Still trying to find different dies and embossing folders, but in time I will have a nice collection.
I love to create things by hand, give me a handmade present over anything store bought. (unless its something to support my addiction) I don't think that there is anything that I won't try or anything that I can't make, whether or not the recipient likes it is another story.
I also love to bake, I have baked cakes ever since I bought my second son's first birthday cake, spent a ton of money on it for it to only look like a glob of frosting with a picture. Something inside me snapped and since then I have been making and decorating my own at a hobby level. I would love to own a bakery someday, but it's not in the cards for me right now.
Cookie Swaps - running my second annual cookie swap, oh these things can be so much fun! Get a group of ladies together that love to bake and add a cocktail or two, what a great time! Who knew baking could be this fun?
I enjoy a fast moving mystery with a splash of lust. I enjoy reading things that can't be explained also.
Favorite Author: Charlaine Harris
Every Monday, I volunteer at the local elementary school and work with the reading program for those children that need special attention. It is so much fun to help the children and to have those little eyes look up to you with excitement as they progress throughout the year......
I like just about anything.......but country. Well, the newer country is getting better, but I can't handle the old school country. I grew up liking rap, but when I had kids I quickly realized that that music was not kid friendly and it began to disgust me. I now like rock, some heavy and some not.....I live in a house that likes country, but thankfully we don't listen to the radio too much.
Christmas music is always fun, but only after Thanksgiving, nothing before!
Football and Baseball are my favorites.
Favorite teams: Detroit Lions, Atlanta Braves
Fall Sports:
My oldest son plays football on the school team and received his varsity letter as a sophomore....so proud!
My youngest son and daughter both play soccer which can be really exciting at times, but it is a very new sport in our house. It keeps us busy.
My middle son just loves to play baseball. All four children play baseball and it can be tiring at times with all of the running around. But I wouldn't trade it for the world!
House, Fringe, Food Network, Hell's Kitchen, and Football! My husband enjoys American Idol, so I can be caught watching a few episodes here and there from time to time........
I started watching Elementary when it came out and watched every episode, very sad that they aren't running any new ones yet. I hope they do soon.
Halloween and Christmas!
It's the decorating and the spookiness of Halloween that excites me, not so much the commercialized part of the holiday, but the knock your socks off scary part.
Christmas - again it's the decorating. Not to mention the giving and the overall fact that people seem to be a lot friendlier this time of year. I love to bake for people and give cards and little gifts that will bring a smile to their faces for no apparent reason.
Colors - Maroon, Dark Green, Mustard, Neutral Colors/Earth Tones, Blue.
Animals - Cats, Dogs, any animal really.
Coffee - flavored coffees like hazelnut and french vanilla. I have a Keurig, love those K-cups!
The Pampered Chef - Addicted!
I have found a new love - Scentsy!! Holy cow, I think I have a scent for every occasion now.
Printed papers, handmade papers, card stock, blank cards w/envelopes, shaped paper punches, unusual brads and embellishments, die cuts or embossing folders to go with my Cuttlebug, chalk pads, stamps.
Non-craft items:
Keurig K-Cups
Chocolate - milk chocolate or white chocolate
Fuzzy Socks - size 9
Scentsy items, nothing in particular.
Goth, things that must sit on the shelf and collect dust.
Dark Chocolate
Although I like them, I really struggle with store bought cards, so I try to only sign up for swaps that encourage handmade. I may not be an expert yet, but something handmade is important to me.

Thank you so much for the lovely birthday card! It made my day. Thanks for being a wonderful member of Swap-bot.
Partners have been assigned for the Color Combo #1 Swap.......HAPPY SWAPPING!
I mailed out your 6x6 paper swap today! I hope you like them!
Read my profile and post a comment. You seem so busy. But with four children how can it be any other way. A creative person is always one that has a lot of imagination. Cards and scrapbooking seems to suit you.
Creating by hand is something that delights the inner person so much, and it is something those that love to give do. There is nothing like saying I love you, than something that you create for the person especially. Baking is a great hobby also. I used to bake a lot, but alas no children left at home. I could see you taking a recipe and designing it so it is the same but different. Your family is blessed to have you.
Hi Nikki!! I'm one of your partner in read my profile and comment swap, I really love the fact that you love bake as much as I do, I can pass all the afternoon baking cupcakes or cookies. I hope we can do a future halloween swap ;)
Have a nice day!!
<3!

Hi there
My son (13) loves football too - always out there in all types of weather playing football - in the park, on the seafront, in the school team. Just football mad!!
Hope you have a good year

Hey, don't complain. It's working!
Hello, and welcome to swap-bot! It was fun to read your profile. I especially loved your favorite colors list - maybe it sounds silly to like something so trivial, but what a beautiful combination! I think I'm going to get out my scraps this afternoon and try to make some dark earth tones ATCs. Thanks!
Emika (Please don't forget to rate me for the "Read my profile and post a comment" swap!)
Welcome to Swapbot!
We have lots of fun here. Sorry about the paperswap but I will be hosting another one soon as well as another TP Tube swap (also very fun) & an Open Theme Card swap. Please feel free to join us now that you have a profile.
Just a suggestion, how about a list of fav colors, likes & dislikes. That way we can send swaps that you will like.
Happy Swapping, nlgrudis
