Hi, I'm Peter from a suburb of Minneapolis -- my wife and I have a two-year-old son.

I'm currently selling my handmade puppets on Etsy. I've also been involved in designing fabric prints on Spoonflower. (My user name is also "pkfridley" on both those sites.) Both of these projects have resulted in collecting huge piles of fabric, felt, patches, pom poms, googly eyes...

I'm very interested in vintage / retro fabric, especially "kids," or licensed character, cotton prints -- they make great shirts for puppets, especially when the print is small and busy. I've always got an eye out for vintage patches or appliques, googly eyes, mass-produced craft doll heads and faces (the creepier / weirder the better), buttons, you name it. Even the smallest scrap of interesting fabric can find its way onto a puppet.

I'm currently on the lookout for Curious George fabric, patches, stamps, coloring books, whatever. My son has recently gotten into George, and I think we missed the merchandise boom from when the movie came out a few years ago (I've seen Curious George fabric on eBay but it's discontinued in the stores). Peanuts / Charlie Brown / Snoopy is a big deal in this house too.

Muppets, Sesame Street, Mister Rogers = awesome.

Religious stuff, or material from different religions, IS VERY appreciated. I'm Christian but I love classical / ancient mythologies, the symbolisms of different gods and goddesses, learning about the way other people approach religion... so literally ANY religious tradition is welcome in my mailbox!

I play guitar, so random guitar picks -- or any kind of music stuff that you don't want -- would be cool too.

Ramones; prog rock; 60's pop (I collect 45's of "oldies" that used to be on the radio all the time, but have disappeared behind a relentless haze of "classic rock").

I also draw, paint, do graphic design. Interesting vintage / retro / weird printed material is always welcome as reference material.

Not to be picky, but I'm not a big fan of: - Floral, doily-looking stuff - Things that reference specific manga, sci-fi or video game characters, since I don't follow any of that (but anything original in a manga or kawaii style is just fine) - Bowls of fruit, ballet dancing girls, landscapes (unless there's a dragon or something in it) - "country craft" stuff, with chickens and gingham and bubbly writing (hopefully you know what I mean) - your obsession with whatever breed of dog you happen to have
