My name is Ruth. My husband and I live in New Jersey, USA. My job outside the home is in Senior Housing which is very rewarding and heartwarming.
I am a mother of 3, who loves to garden.
I love to make things to decorate our property. Last year I made 2 faux stained glass windows which we incorporated into the outside patio. This year a butterfly garden and a butterfly house will be added.
My favorite color is pink. I enjoy a good cup of tea at the end of the day. Of course, teapots, teacups and anything tea related catches my fancy.
I believe chocolate should be the base of the food pyramid.
I believe in kindness and honesty.
I believe in naps, sand between my toes and peach martinis.
I have to admit I have never watched a single episode of Survivor. I'm sure that makes me un-American or something. I enjoy the food network, some shows on Discovery channel, Two and a Half Men & CSI Miami.
Nora Roberts is always a fun read as well as Barbara Delinsky. I loved The Secret Life of Bees.
We love Barry White; Earth Wind and Fire; and most classic R&B when we are in a dancing mood. Pink, Beyonce and No Doubt are good for singing loudly in the car. Though I may enjoy Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow, I also find their music the perfect punishment if the boys misbehave in the car.
Romantic Comedies are my favorite. You've Got Mail, The Wedding Date, When Harry Met Sally, Under the Tuscan Sun, to name a few.
Favorite Crafts?? That is the hardest question yet! I love to paint on everything... paper, glass, wood, cloth. Paper crafts are my current favorite. Polymer clay is fun when I have the time to devote to the details. Altered art, collage, you name it. Jewelry findings always "find" their way into my shopping cart! I must admit I am inept at most needlecrafts but appreciate those who have the gift.
