I am a sociology PhD student and massage therapist living in Essex with my Spanish partner and beautiful baby boy.

I like many types of music from the indie-rock I listened to when I was younger to 60s and 70s songs, hip-hop, electro, jazz, classical, experimental projects and avant-garde (etcetera).

I love reading and mainly read classic literature, philosophy, psychology or science. Some books I've enjoyed recently are Paula by Allende, Memoirs by Neruda and The Alexander Quartet by Durrell.

Here it's more what I don't like than what I do like. I dislike Hollywood-derived girl-meets-boy style films, no matter which country they are from. I generally like low-key real-life dramas - Mike Leigh, Ken Loach - or surreal films - David Lynch etcetera. Plus much more!

I do not have or watch television.

I love crochet, knitting, collage, drawing and painting but I think jewellery making has to be my favourite (unless I ever learn to make clothes, which I think I would prefer!).

I like sparkly, girly, pretty, small, artistic, intelligent, funny, philosophical, political, radical, pink, lilac, white, red, transparent, challenging, comforting, glamorous, vibrant and unusual.
