This has always been a tricky question for me, because who I think I am may not be what others think I am. And what others think I am is important because ultimately my actions and words determine who I am. Anywhy I'll try to give this section my best shot.
I graudated with an engineering degree and then went to culinary school to learn Pastry. Graduated with a diploma and proceeded to work in various bakery kitchens. Somewhere along the line I realized that sugar = enemy and so decided to leave the professional kitchen forever and settle for a desk-bound government job.
Throughout my life I've been consumed by various obsessions. It all started when I was around 10 and decided that frogs were awesome creatures, so I read all the books on it at the library. Then it was photography, tennis, baking and more recently calligraphy and washi tape. I have no idea why I've only JUST found about about washi tape. Where have I been?
I love receiving snail mail but my experience with it is sorely limited to items delivered because I ordered them online. Snail mail is just not fast enough for life in fast-paced Singapore where I live. However since discovering calligraphy, I thought snail mail would be a great way to showcase my art and sometimes mad ideas I have.
So here I am. :)
My absolute favourite book would be Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I read it at least twice a year to share in Florentino Ariza's heartbreak and eventual triumph in his pursuit and eternal wait for his Crowned Goddess.
Another favourite would be the Count of Monte Cristo. So much adventure and romance in one epic novel.
I love Michael Buble, Andrea Bocelli and the Eagles. My favourite song ever has got to be Love Will Keep Us Alive by the Eagles.
Hand's down; You've got Mail. How adorable are Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in that film?
I also love the movie Love in the Time of Cholera as it is adapted from my favourite book. Javier Bardem portrays Florentino Ariza; need I say more? ;)
