Hello, i am a happy wife, mother and grandma! I am a handmaker of things and wish that i could do some real art some day:) I like to recycle and upcycle. I have an etsy shop, where I sell my goods. I also like to sell at different fairs around the Chicago area. I just love being in the DIY community on and off line! I appreciate all things handmade. oops, forgot to say that I live right in chicago, about 5 miles from the downtown area. i love this city! I love to travel. i would go to eastern europe every year if i could! My husband would much rather spend time on an island, but who can afford either?

sewing, quilting, jewelry design. always looking for something different! I love felt and things made from felt. it's so cozy. vintage fabrics, trims and ribbons. i could live in that! i am addicted to joann fabrics, of course. i think that sewing is the most therapeutic for me. I can sew for miles and miles and sort of get lost in it! I would like to start embroidering again. maybe if i had a pattern on muslin, i would do it. i have the hoops and thread, but i am no artist. I can't draw patterns very well. i do want to learn ribbon embroidery, too. i would like to try some redwork and bluework, too.

ribbons, trims, buttons. i don't do much with paper, but i am willing to try. so maybe i would like completed paper items in a swap. love more earthy colors, not much for pinks and pastels. But i do have a new grandaughter and i think that she's going to like pink! i think that i've tried about every craft that there is, but cannot knit. maybe some day! right now i think that i have enough to fill my time! I love Russian and Eastern European Folk art pictures and matryoska(?) dolls. fabric with these prints on them are so cute! another favorite is vintage and traditional christmas! Delft blue anything is a favorite!

I have an etsy shop and have recently started an Artfire, Made it Myself and a Dwanda shop. I don't know how well these other shops will go. I just love etsy and have been a member since 2005. I am not sure who shops at what shops, but i am hoping to find out soon.... I have my goods in a couple of galleries here in chicago. one sells my stuff steadily aand the other is slow. can't figure that one out.

Favorite books, hmmm. the Bible, Silas Marner, Anna Karenina, The Wise Woman, Adam Bede. I think that I would be happy to read these over and over again.
