I'm a 57 year old Nana of 6 wonderful grandchildren from 17 to 6 years of age. I retired from the City of Bakersfield Recreation Dept. about 4 years ago but continue to go back for special events. I have been involved in the arts in some way as long as I can remember. Currently I'm on the Ceramic Wagon, gotta have em "The white rocks" I collect Vintage ceramic molds and alter them as I pour. I carry a ball a clay around with me and press things that catch my eye as well as things with sentimental value and make ceramic pendants from them. My husband is a Potter so I have been fortunate to have all the necessary tools and supplies right here at home as to fire all my ceramic goodies. I took a class in ceramics at the junior collage and watched my husband very closely. I pour,glaze and fire all my own pieces. Ceramics bring me great joy. I teach a ceramic class at a local youth center to high risk kids. I also have on going classes for kids here at my home studio. I participate in a few shows throughout the year, sell on etsy and have pieces in a local gallery as well as La Bussola in Nevada. I love making props and large pieces, I love altering the everyday and turning it into halloween! I'm happy that Miss Yoli invited me here to swap bot.
