I recently retired after teaching in a college for over 20 years. My husband is also retired and our only child has gone away to university, so things are quiet around here! I paint watercolours and make collages. I had my first show last spring along with four other women artists. It was wonderful to sell some of my pieces, but hard to let them go. I spend my days making art, reading - especially mysteries and playing with my black lab, Trouper. I live in southern Manitoba. just outside Winnipeg, the capital city. And yes, it does get cold up here - but it's not as bad as you think!
I am a rock and roll baby - I can remember seeing both the Beatles and the Stones on Ed Sullivan. I never thought the music would be called "classic rock." I also discovered the blues not too long after. It is my music. Jazz and some classical round out my listening habits.
My favourite movie of all time is Gone with the Wind. Epic stories with stars who seemed larger than life appeal to me. I also enjoy a good musical.
