About Me

I'm a single mom - retired for one year and finding I now have more time for paper crafting and swaps. Returning to Swap-Bot after a long break. I'm an avid reader, watcher of films, writer of letters, computer guru, and artist. Born in California, now living in Oregon. Artistic taste leans to the clever rather than cute, love collage and non-traditional images. Still love to stamp. Fave themes: geometrics, cityscapes, cats, music, coffee, fish and seaside/underwater, clocks/time, fruit, slimline designs, holiday. Will swap anything anytime.

Favorite Music

Beatles. Stones. Elton John. Clapton. Boz Scaggs. Fleetwood Mac. Sinatra. Beach Boys. Sons of Champlin. Doobie Brothers. Genesis. Van Morrison. Neil Finn. Crowded House. Motown artists. Most R&B/soul. Bruce Hornsby. Bonnie Raitt. Alison Kraus & Union Station.

Favorite Movies

Too many to list. I could write a book on my favorite movies . . .

Favorite Television

Great British Baking Show. The Walking Dead. American Horror Story. Game of Thrones. Vikings. Versailles. Doc Martin. Mad Men. Damages. Cold Justice. What Not To Wear. French & Saunders. British drama, Ken Burns documentaries, History channel, Biography.

Favorite Crafts

I've been stamping since 1995; also love altered arts and digital graphic arts. Favorites: card-making and ATCs. I love polymer clay, melted things, die cuts, painting, metallic embellishments, wire, glass (microscope slides), and all sorts of ephemera. My style is arty rather than cute. I love to collect any bits and bobs that might turn up later in my art. Fave themes: metallic, geometric, cats, time, tea, travel, vintage, Zetti and art dolls, Halloween, architectural, pears, seaside.

My Wish List

If anyone ever wants to send little goodies, I would be most appreciative of any of the following:

Interesting stamped images Corners / Borders Textured paper
3D miniature items to use in shadowboxes and altered art (think junk journal) Artsy words, collage images, quotes, quips
Handmade backgrounds or technique sheets describing how they were made
Teeny weeny buttons
Mica powder or paint
Die cuts / chipboard
Handmade envelopes, cards or ATCs

Please no more!

of these items (I have tons already):

Fibers, yarn, thread
Scrapbook paper or swatches
Tiny clear stamps
Eyelets, brads
Paper flowers
Glitter Stickers Embossing powder

My Swapping Ethic

I honestly take my Swap-Bot swap responsibilities seriously. I enjoy sending out my best work and live in hopes that I will receive your best work in exchange. I'm proud of my 5 rating and will always make good on any swap that my recipient says they have not received. I rate fairly and promptly.

Please contact me before giving me a rating less than 5. I extend the same flexibility to others that I expect from them. I am patient about waiting, but when it gets to 6 or 8 weeks and I haven't received your swap, I will contact the hostess and you and then I'll rate you accordingly.

Please don't send:

ATCs or cards consisting of card stock with a sticker slapped on it - this is NOT art!

6" pieces of fiber unless it is absolutely the most gorgeous and breathtaking stuff you've ever seen and is so rare that you can only part with 6" of it

Artwork that was not created by yourself (unless the swap calls for it - and I don't sign up for those kinds of swaps)

2" pieces of paper that are too small to be used as an ATC background

Comment: What a wonderful swap you created for me! I absolutely love the classy French card you made - c'est magnifique! And the fun surprise of Eiffel towers tucked inside! Then all the well chosen goodies for me- from bees to French themed ATC and ATC envie, cool typewriters and such gorgeous elaborate die cuts that will be perfect for creating some elegant cards! I hope you receive equally thoughtful and delightful Happy Mail for this swap! Once in awhile Happy Mail can be a dud, but try again! It is fun I think just to put together something that will make your partner smile. We've had the super hot weather too but here in So Cal we all have AC. My son and his wife live in Portland and also have no ac - but most of the year they love it there - all the trees! Hope to see you in more swaps! Thanks again.

Comment: Thanks for the envies stuffed with green bits and bobs. I'll be able to make many many ATC's with such a great variety. 💖
Comment: Ha ha! I had the same trials and tribulations when I went in search of coffee filters. I finally found mine in the garage. I had read a hot tip somewhere about coffee filters in the bottom of pots so the soil wouldn't leak out with the water. Brilliant use of it on your Sea Dreams ATC. Thank you so much!
Comment: Hi Judy... very clever use of a Q-Tip! Beautiful ATC. Thank you so much!

Hello! Welcome to the Group: Artisan ATCs. I've never made anything with polymer clay but would like to try someday. What type of "melted things" do you use? Our group is a creative collective. I look forward to swapping with you!
