I love everything crafty! I love making things with my hands. My favorite craft is probably crocheting; I can spend hours searching for new (free) patterns online. I like to make amigurumi as gifts.
I also like to decorate letters and envelopes to send to friends- I think it's much more fun to receive something you can tell the person put lots of effort into, even if the letter isn't pages long. I adore stickers and put them on everything, I also like blank cards/envelopes to decorate.
Indie/rock/an odd assortment. I love Elliott Smith, The New Pornographers, Tilly & the Wall, Of Montreal, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Phantom of the Opera, Cake, Dixie Chicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and tons more! I also love the soundtracks from the older Disney movies.
A Good and Happy Child, Please Don't Kill the Freshman, Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, Le Divorce, Sloppy Firsts/Second Helpings/Charmed Thirds...I love to read but I don't have as much time anymore. Curling up on the couch with a book is one of my favorite ways to relax!
Arrested Development, Sex & the City, Law & Order: SVU, Brothers & Sisters
Things I'd love to receive: adhesive letters, buttons, amigurumi, stitch markers (I've been using some beautiful earrings my aunt made but I'm scared of losing them!), pretty origami papers, a needle/hook pouch, magnets, cute crochet patterns, mix CDs, and anything that strikes your creative fancy!
I also like screenprinted cards/canvas totes/tshirts (kids L/XL or adult XS/S), hand-dyed yarn (especially yarn that varies in thickness or is many colors woven together).
Likes: Bright colors, dinosaurs, robots, dangly earrings, handwritten letters, chubby babies, hearts, things that are cute but funky, food, recipes/cooking, being outdoors, hiking and camping, shoes
Dislikes: eyelash yarn, super girly pink things (I love magenta but not in large quantities), things with lots of black or morbid artwork.
I love to crochet! I like metal hooks and usually use an F size. When I make amigurumi I like to use yarn in bright colors (yellow, pink, green, orange, turquoise). I only know the very basics of knitting but I love thick, soft yarn for scarves, like Twinkle Handknits Soft Chunky. I am not a huge fan of eyelash yarn or other floofy kinds, but I love hand-dyed yarn or yarn that varies in thickness.
