Hi~ My (chinese) name is Yuen. :] I'm 18 and I live in Philly but was born in Hong Kong. I'm new to swap-bot but I thought the idea seemed really fun so I wanted to join in. :3 Plus I love getting mail.
Just to honestly put it out there, I don't think I'm much good at anything that requires sewing, sculpting, or essentially anything 3-D or crafting so I won't be joining those types of swaps. But 2-D things like drawings, collages, postcards or "flat art" are what I'm good at so let me know if you have a swap like that! :D (But I also love trading random cute/pretty things; å¯æ„›ã„を好ãã§ã™ã‚ˆãƒ¼^^)
I usually listen to Asian music... (ie. popular Chinese, Korean, Japanese music, etc.) Mainly I like listening to pop songs, ballads, and piano pieces but I'm open to all genres of music as long as it's good or catchy. Some of my favourite artists are~
Cheon Sang Ji Hee, Zhang Li Yin, Big Bang, BoA, Ayaka, Yuna Ito, Utada Hikaru, Orange Range, MAY'S, Epik High, Koda Kumi, Vanessa Carlton, Yiruma, Do As Infinity, Otsuka Ai
(aka songs I'm addicted to at the moment XD)
~ CSJH - Here feat. CLIFF EDGE
~ BoA - Eat You Up
~ Big Bang - Haru Haru
~ Ana Belen y David San Jose - Cuentame
~ SNSD - Gee
Sadly I don't read very much... and whenever I pick out books, I read them and they usually tend to end up being bad and a waste of time&money. Someone please PLEASE feel free to recommend me some good books to read. m(_ _)m;; But a couple that I like are...
Harry Potter (hahaha), Kite Runner, The Crucible, To Kill A Mocking Bird, and Ella Enchanted. I sound like some 4th grader don't I?
Oh, and I like reading lots and lots of manga. And sometimes fanfics or original fictions online.
(^ and television shows.)
I'm not a fan of this question because I tend to not watch movies a lot and not that many are memorable to me (even if they're good). Although I must say Les Choristes is one of the most amazing films I've ever seen.
But usually I like watching a lot of Hong Kong and Japanese movies and dramas. Not the cheesy ones with a typical teenage romance plot of ditzy girl meets badass boy; shows with REAL plots (whatever that may mean :P)
As for American television I don't really like much... but these are the shows that I'll watch if I happen to flip the TV on and they're playing: any News broadcast, House, Bones, Nanny911, Hell's Kitchen, King of Queens, MadTV, and Simpsons. (weird combo?)
Primarily drawing. Does that count as a craft?
I like photoshopping and graphic editing as well.
And scrapbooking-like layouts or designs. (Even though I don't scrapbook much.)
