Kawaii does indeed mean 'cute in that asian cartoony adorable big-eyed way', and we have plenty of it over here in Korea... sigh...
ATC is short for 'Artist Trading Card' (which google to find out more). Generally they are made from old playing cards or standard-size card stock, they are individual works of art, and they are always traded with other artists.
Good luck getting started here: don't be discouraged by 'no newbie' swaps, just be faithful about sending out quality items on time and you will build your ratings and be accepted in short order. If you have any further questions, the forums are a better place to ask than individual swaps :) Do check them out!
