Comment: Your card arrived today... unfortunately being more than half destroyed by water. Guess that's why the postal services took this long to figure out where to send it to. The address is partially washed away too. But I think they did an amazing job playing Sherlock and getting it to me. Since I'm not able to read what you've written ... let me just say thanks for the awesome Dubrovnik card. (The front on the card is totally unharmed.) Take care and stay safe!
Response: Oh, I am so sorry. I don't remember exactly what I said, probably about the cruise I took when I got the card. Glad at least the front made it through.
Thanks for the rating and heart.
Comment: It arrived! Post marked March 30 and today is April 2. Only 4 days and you are right the first address is absolutley correct. Lots of postal mishaps these days. Love all the polka dots on the envie too:) Love the pop-up card! Very cute. Thank you so much for being a great swap partner:) Happy Easter to you.
Response: That is so crazy. What can you do but just shake your head in wonder. Glad it finally got there. Thanks for rating and the heart.
Comment: Hi Cheryl, thank you very much for your great postcard, it made me very happy. I would love to visit Greece again, stayed there several time but never Athens.
Have a good time, best wishes,
Comment: Thanks! I had a Greek cruise booked (before Covid) for this October which has already been cancelled. Disappointing but expected:( I already done that cruise but was looking forward to showing my boyfriend Greece. Hope you get to Alaska!
Comment: Wow! What a great collection of stuff. I don't know where to begin, there are so many things that I will be using in some of my next swaps. And some very lucky person will be getting the beautiful birthday card.
Comment: Thanks so much for the lovely cards! I absolutely don’t mind blank in an envie ever! I loved the dc cards so much and the space needle! I went to The city but didn’t do the needle lol! We chose to do do a mountain coaster haha.
Thank you again <3
Response: Can't go wrong with a mountain coaster. I think I have done all of them between Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Comment: That was such a good idea to make a pocket from the envelope and I love your pocket! I don't do much journaling but do make journal pages for swaps, and cards, tags, etc. so the supplies will be great for all those things.
Comment: Wow the.card you made is amazing Cant wait to move back to the mountains lol my family from Asheville was there in July going back for Christmas at the biltmore then to Dollywood. My best friend manager a bank where you live
Response: So glad you liked it. I love living in VA, but I love it here now. There is always something to do. There are more banks in this small town than seems to make sense. Hope you enjoy Dollywood, right now it has really been hit with low attendance since there are no inside shows.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! Wonderful to have you as my partner again and the fall card is just lovely! It is hard to believe we are in September already - sigh! Wishing you all the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hi Cheryl! I love your background on this pc, will have to look the method up as it looks so awesome! You had me laughing that your fish looks seasick! Thanks for the fun Happy Mail! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Very nice pockets! And so many fun goodies to use! I don't journal either, but these cute pockets will fit nicely on scrapbook pages....especially the ones I love to make from scratch. Thanks for the tip on the group about stamped cards I will check it out! Have a great rest of the summer!
Comment: Cheryl, your photo of the Knoxville bridges is just stunning! The perspective you achieved and the color tones are absolutely fantastic, and the reflection makes this such a great shot!!! Thank you for sharing this work of art with me; it will have a special place in my 'keeper' album, AFTER I finish displaying in my craft room. Worthy of a dozen hearts!!!
Comment: Now this is a REALLY cool PC! Butterflies in the sky, with a Canadian stamp; mushrooms in the grass, including some poison ones on Estonian stamps! First I've ever seen...and a great white oak to replace the stump. So carefully thought out. I love it! Great mail day!
Response: It was my first attempt, so thank you for the kind words, rating/heart!! Quite encouraging.
Comment: Awh, thanks for sending to me! You didn't have to. <3 UPDATE: 8/8/20 - opened your envie. I love how you decorated the envelope and oh, my goodness! The 3 fold pocket that you sent is adorable! I didn't know YouTube had swap groups! Dang. I'll be cruising there to check those out sometime! Thank you SO much!
Response: post office says it should be there Monday.*** Update 8/9
So glad you like it. The swap is on Swap bot- it is just called You Tube Paper Crafts. The host puts up the swap with a link to a you tube video and then you use that as a guide on how to make something. I have enjoyed the group- the swaps are normally not something I would make so it has been a fun challenge.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! I love your washi pc - it has a fun design that is simple but awesome - I think I overthink stuff, so... I love washi tape and have a bunch as well, I say I will not buy more but than something takes over and it jumps into my hand to come home with me! LOL! I am worried that this virus will get so out of control that we will all be on lockdown again - sigh! Hopefully by wearing the face mask people will be ok but you just don't really know what to believe, so... Wishing you all the best and please stay safe! Hugs and Happy swapping! ;)
Response: I know what you mean. (about it all- washi, mask, virus, etc). I just try to be sensible when going out and who I hang out with. Thanks for the nice comments and rating/heart.
Comment: Wow!! I’m super impressed that this is your first jj!! I’d have guessed you were an old pro ❤️ It’s gorgeous!! I love all the surprises everywhere, all the butterflies, and the fabulous die cut on the back. Stunning and such a treasure! Thanks so bery much! ❤️❤️
Response: So glad you liked it. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out and just may make some more.
Comment: Thank you so much for my lovely mail! The envie was so cute and thee seed packet was really neat and creative! I'm excited to use my new stamp, and I hope that I can go to the PA mushroom festival next year - I've never been but it sounds super fun!
Comment: What a delightful package I receieved yesterday! Such a pack full envelope of goodies. Everything I enjoy was in your pocket. I have made dresses before, we must watched the same channel. I've never made a window envelope before, I'll have to save some of my junk mail envelopes! Thanks so much for all the effort you put into this swap. A true gift, and many hearts!
Response: So glad you liked it. I had never joined a swap like this and was not sure what the "mystery" would contain.
Comment: I received the second butterfly card! It flew over here so quickly~ And the post office hilariously placed the postmark on the design side instead of the side with the stamp! :)
Update 22 Jul 2020: The first postcard arrived and what a great selection of washi tape you have! I love all eleven you used! :)
Response: So glad 1 out of 2 arrived. They were the exactly the same size, etc. They mysteries of the mail. Thanks for your patience and the rating.
**** UPDATE: JULY 22: So glad the first one finally arrived. I have regained some faith in the postal system. I am almost embarrassed how much washi I have. If there was an addition group, I would have to join it!!!
Comment: Great card! I think the rub-on transfers look good. I'm the same as you--whenever I send a card that I didn't make, I feel the need to explain that I didn't actually make the card, especially to people who know I make cards. I don't want them thinking that I made a card when I didn't!
Comment: My jaw dropped when I opened this! First off, thank you so much for all the work that went into this! Absolutely beautiful! Loved the Xmas ephemera, all of the die cuts and tags, the embossed paper, flat back pearls and right down to the cute hummingbird on the back of the booklet. Love, love, love! Do you have an Instagram I can follow you on? Mine is Mindy82671. Thank you for a great swap💖
Response: So glad you liked it. How kind of you, but no I don't have instagram.
Comment: Such a beautiful card. We always try to get to Gatlinburg when I’m visiting my in laws. There is always something That comes up. I’ve been in the Smokey mountains, but not exactly in the park. My other favorite nearby nature attraction is the highlands. They have really good ice cream there too lol !
Comment: Thank you for the Santorini postcard and nice message. I would love to go to Venice, Greece and Coatia one day. My brother was stationed in Greece when he was in the Navy. Should have gone to see him then! Take care!
Comment: How wonderful to get your handmade postcard.Cute children's illustration. I like how the water is textured. At this time in history, happiness reminders are nice to get.
In Ontario we've opened up a little but have experienced swarms of people who haven't social distanced. Parks filled up like a day at Woodstock. And with no bathrooms, it has become a problem for nearby homeowner properties. Yuck.
Comment: What a pretty postcard you made. I don't think it's sad that you have that many options of black and white washi. I wish I had that many, but I tend to buy the same colors when I go. I don't know why because my intents is to broaden my stash. It's so strange!
Comment: This PC is terrific! I love how you put all of the items into a river scene. It's cool that you've been to Peoria. The boat tour is fun, and I adore our river. Our house overlooks the river, and we see the steamboat cruising sometimes. Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the polar bear postcard, I love it! Staying safe here and trying to maintain as much normalcy as possible. We just need to be positive and encourage each other. :) Spending time on swap-bot helps! Be well!
Comment: Thank you for the great Norman Rockell! I’m sorry to hear that you’re limited to the neighborhood for your green time outdoors - can’t imagine how that compares to the Smokey Mountains! I know what you mean by the crafts even “getting old” after a bit...I’m so used to have lots of recreational options, that it’s been tuff to finds things to do some days. So, I nap a lot. Seems my brain likes hibernation. 😆 Anyway, I enjoyed receiving your friendly postcard in today’s mail! It was my only mail today!
Comment: Your two cards are much appreciated! My husband loves donkeys, so that one really made his day. I laughed about your trouble with the swap - only because I can totally relate. I'm sending mail to keep busy, but know to check everything twice - my mind is too busy.
I hope you are safe and healthy! Take care and enjoy your dog walks.
Comment: OMG! Cheryl... you DID NOT have to resend your swap! You are so kind to do so... another beautiful card.. love the turquoise, but you knew that :-) I am so flabbergasted that you would re-send.. especially when I never requested one. You are a very kind and caring and generous swap partner. <3
THANK YOU <3, THANK YOU <3, THANK YOU <3
Hi Cheryl... Thank you so much for the beautiful Paris in spring card. I was kinda bummed the envie and corner of the card were bent when they got here... but it the overall effect is still beautiful! Yes, It would be weird to see tourists flocking in to look at... oops! Nothing!! :-) Enjoy your peace and quiet while the parks are on lock-out :-) Thanks again!
Response: Thanks for the kind words- I did not want you to have a card that you would not want to use!!!
Comment: Hi Cheryl! I love, love, love your washi pc! What an awesome design - I keep thinking I might try to copy it (truest form of flattery!) but am thinking mine would not turn out the same! LOL! I'm not going too stir crazy yet - I sure do miss being out and about though, as I am sure most folks do! The hubby and son are still having to be out (one is a mailman and the other works in logistics), so I do get to hear about what all they are seeing and hearing on the streets! LOL! Thankfully I can work from home, so that has keep me fairly busy with trying to get used to the world also having to work remotely - sure makes things a tad more complicated! Looking forward to the day we can put all of this behind us and enjoy all the things we previously took for granted! Stay safe my friend! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Cheryl, thank you for a wonderful swap! I loved it all from the outside to the inside! Loved the message on the back of the envelope that said 'sealed with dog slobber'!!!! That cracked me up!!! I liked your address label too. The postcard with the 'holes' to decorate on the front will go to my granddaughter/craft-buddy to help entertain her while she's stuck at home during this virus ordeal. My favorite stickers were the alligator with the silly face and the roller skates. I did a lot of roller skating when I was growing up, and that brought back some really nice memories... Thanks so much! Happy Spring and stay safe!!
Response: Thanks for the kind words and great rating. Glad you enjoyed it.
Comment: Thank you for the Smokey bear postcard! As a child we took several family trips through the Smoky Mt. fond memories of such a beautiful area of the great country! Around here we don’t see the Smokey Bear warnings like we use to,sadly! God bless!
Comment: Thank you for the photos. Very interesting. My son, his girlfriend and I went on a Cemetery Walk this year. At night with flashlights. There were actors that told the story of the persons buried there. I've always wanted to go. Thanks again.
Comment: Love the bathing suit post card Cheryl~ I am sorry you have not had a very good Fall due to not enough rain. That happened to some trees here in the beginning of Fall but now most are very pretty!
Comment: Oh, these are great photos! I've yet to visit Arlington. It's on my cemetery bucket list, for sure. I love the ones that you took in the Great Smoky Mountains. I've been up to the cemetery in Cades Cove. It's gorgeous. Thank you so much for participating and sharing these awesome photos.
Comment: Thank you Cheryl for the cute pink Washi samples. I had to buy some Washi for this swap too as I didn’t have much pink either, but now I have a beautiful selection after this swap. They will all get used making happy mail and envies.
Comment: Hi Cheryl, thank you for the fun collaged face PC I like how you used the different various facial features. What a fun PC to get :) I enjoyed the playfulness of this swap. Happy October swapping peace love light
Comment: I do so love these Super Awesome cards! We too are in need of a good rain. Already on water rationing in the county. I am beginning to think the paradigm has shifted for mail service. Between postal theft and just plain old cutbacks at the Post Office. Thanks for the great card.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! I love this free pc! Bummer that you did not get to see much - I had that happen when I visited Franklin, TN - but always hope to make it back at some point! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for such a fun assortment of PCs! I will definitely use the one where I can "create a mess with a friend while having lunch together"! I'm great at creating messes! Hope you are having a wonderful summer.
Comment: Loved the postcard!!! I agree, Sea World has changed into a lot of thrill rides. I don't go as often as I used to, especially since they took away feeding the dolphins. I mainly go and feed the stingrays and my dad and I really want to do the beluga whale encounter one day <3
Comment: Dear Cheryl:
I love your quote and your card. One time my husband and I were at a small art gallery and their was a gentleman giving a talk to a group of children, my husband said to me "hold on a sec I want to hear what this guy has to say." Turns out the artist was Gary Baseman and he was just super friendly.
Comment: I have to agree with you on this postcard it does absolutely nothing for me, if it wasn't for the writing on the back the postcard is just meaningless! Definitely filled the ugly part for this swap.
What a fun, quick swap. Note you have a sense of humor! Dog slobber. Ha.I enjoyed every bit and may copy your envelope style. What a great washi envelope. The beach scenes calmed a rough week. Thanks so very much. Happiness to you!!!
Comment: Wow Cheryl!! The amount of work you put into this envelope is astounding!! You really do love coloring and it shows!! Thank you for it and all the fun pieces inside it!! You really went all out!! Can't wait to dive in and start using some of it!! <3 <3 <3
Comment: of curse I don't mind the extra card, I always love having at least one extra to hang on. for instances that the card from the previous turn doesn't turn up in time and I don't have anything to send. Also, the card you started is super beautiful!
Comment: Thank you for the eagle postcard. It must be cool to live near an eagle sanctuary. While our bird rescue is quite a few miles away, we have eagles come to a cottonwood tree in our yard. To be honest, when eagles are immature with their mixed colored plumage is when I find them to be at their most beautiful. Sorry for the novel!
Comment: Hi Cheryl ~. Thanks again for such an awesome postcard. I love vintage, I really think I was born old! My uncle had an antique business in their home when I was a kid. I would spend so much time there enjoying the dishes especially. Love the Elvis stamp!! Take care and Happy Swapping ~ Judy
Comment: I totally agree this was a very fun swap and relaxing. Also it can cover up a PC that one might find offensive or ugly! I really enjoyed looking at all the stickers! Thank you so much! 💗🦋💗💗🦋💗💗🦋💗
Comment: I LOVE your envelope. I sat with it and looked it over and over looking at all the details. It's awesome. Thank you so much. And thank you so much for the gorgeous peacock photo. I love that too. It's up on my wall right above my desk.
Comment: Hi Cheryl :-) . . . Thank you for your great washi tape envelope. Wow! such variety. I'd love to have some of those patterns, and I especially liked the cat wearing glasses. I was really happy with the samples you sent to me! So many and such cute ones, Thank You!!
Comment: Hello Cheryl, I have received your photos-Thank You! I love street art too. The big purple flowers are Alliums and they are very popular here. They add pizzazz to any garden.
Response: I am glad they arrived- I was starting to wonder if they were lost. Thanks for the name of the flowers. I had never seen them before or since. I made 8x10 prints and framed them for my house.
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. I love it, I was thinking, hmm, monument? And it's "men". Brilliant! The book title didn't start with M, but I'm not going to mark you down for that. I'll send you a pm. Of course now I want a massage! Thank you so much for participating in this fun series!
Comment: Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for the great card and your thoughts.
Good one! I did not consider appliances when thinking technology. This is kinda sad for a guy that was paid, for 35 years, for his ability to think out of the box. I hope retirement is not deadening my mind.
Best to You,
Comment: Thank you for mailing this in an envelope, 70% of postcards never make it to me when mailed “naked” so I really appreciate this! I’ve never been to Hawaii but I’d love to go. The postcard of Smokey Mountains is beautiful and so high quality and your penmanship is beautiful! Have a wonderful day and thanks for the cheery mail inside a fun envelope! ❤️❤️Debbie
Comment: It's beautiful. I love the way you divided it.
I'm looking forward to coloring it and getting it moving. So sorry to take so long. Thank you so much for the extra cards! They are equally as nice!
Comment: Thanks for the great card. I don't remember this space needle when I was in the area in 2006. Is it new? My cousins (and Aunt before she passed) lives in Jefferson City. We probably should plan a trip out that way soon.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard from the Great Smoky Mountains! We have wonderful memories of the area - driving the Gap many times, Gatlinburg visits, and Clingman’s Dome (by car). Couldn’t have done it your way!lol
Comment: I don't mind getting the same people for different swaps. There are many people on here that I have sent to and received from many times. I know what you mean about puppies sharp teeth have had several over the years.
Comment: Hello Cheryl,
Thank you for the beautiful work you you did on this postcard. It looks like you used colored markers to color this postcard. . You also did some shading which added to to your picture. I look forward to adding this to my collection.
Comment: Received the ‘fruity’ PC today, it looks good to me as that’s all I seem to be able to eat since the surgery. You are right about how long it took to get here, I had knee replacement on Feb 23 and it’s now March 5. Pretty sore and can’t wait until I am able to be independent again, but I’m glad it done 😀
Response: Glad you are on your road to recovery. Hope it goes quick.
Comment: Thank you, Cheryl. So you eat butterflies, kittens & clover, eh? Just kidding, but you said the stickers were your favorite foods & I noticed those before I saw the burger & fries! Wish I could send you some of OUR sunshine as we're having summer weather.
Comment: Hello Cheryl,
Thank you for your very nice note you sent along with your LOVELY postcard. I noticed this was from "daydream illustration." I just love how you colored this postcard. Where did you get this postcard from? You Did a Great Job on This Postcard!
Response: Thanks. I appreciate your nice comments. I bought the cards on Amazon- Called Daydreams, by Hanna Karlzon.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! Your envie is so pretty! Is that one stamp set or two? Makes me ready for spring! Thinking the fish one is going to make me crossed eyed as well! LOL! No problem on sending two, as you said, we are all eager to get our pcs home! Hope all went well with your move and that your new postal carrier enjoys your Happy Mail! Hugs, Happy Coloring and Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks for the kind words, yes it was all one set. Probably a Michael's or AC Moore sale at some point.
Comment: Hi Coss. Thanks for the super cool card and the nice note! Yes, it's been cold and our current 30s and 40s are a real heat wave. At least all the snow has melted. Now it's wet puppy season (the dogs get very wet during walks). Groan. I like Tennessee. I bet it's pretty where you live. Thanks again for the nice card!
Comment: I love your envelope with all the fingerprints. Cute! I look forward to coloring a section of your post card and sending it on. It will be fun, and make me think of warmer weather. Hope your move goes smoothly.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! Your coloring pc is so pretty! Plus I love how you divided it - I am having issues with doing it the way I had been, so hopefully if I try this next time it will be easier for me!! LOL! Who knew that was going to be the hardest part of this swap?? LOL! Your pc really made my day as it is just so pretty! Hugs, Happy Coloring and Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks. I have tried all sorts of divisions (not all equal size spots, Etc.) This one seems the easiest! I received this PC in a swap and just loved it, so am glad I will eventually get it back. Thanks in advance for adding to my card.
Comment: Sorry for the late rating, I was out of town unexpectedly with a family emergency, the card was waiting for me when I got home, I will color it and send it on its way next round, thank you. : )
Comment: Thanks Cheryl!! I have never been to Washington DC or Virginia and I loved hearing about the cool places you'd take me - now I just need to Google them because now I'm curious! What a fun swap.
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful postcard! And the extra laurel burch card!!! I'm not sure what I do next. Do I send yours with mine?
Response: On the next round which is already up for signups- you color your section of mine and pass it on to your new partner. You do not start a new one until you send one home and have no others to send. Hope that makes sense.
Comment: Thanks - cute as can be and I would have been terribly disappointed if it had not been a patriotic card! I have been happily making very patriotic envelopes for swaps for weeks! Oh, seeing the fireworks at the National Mall would be fabulous! Happy Fourth to you!
Comment: Hi Cheryl, Yes I am always looking for new postcard designs also and have never saw one like this, so cool!! In all of the swaps I have never seen a duplicate card except I liked one so much I duplicated one that was sent to me. Where do you get your coloring envelopes? So nice. Thanks for this one to color and send on! :)
Response: For my coloring envelopes I just use a page out of a coloring book. Some I have colored and some not. Lately I have also bee using old calendars. Trying to clear out some of my "stuff" and actually use it. Next card is on its way.
Comment: HI again Cheryl,
We seem to get each other a lot as partners and that is great with me.Thanks for the card to color and send home. Thanks so much for the extra card. I would give you more hearts if I could!! :)
Comment: Hi Cheryl So happy you messaged me, it is perfectly fine to send a completed pc for a swap. I just didn't realize it was for this swap, sorry. I love it and I love the part you coloring in. Thanks so much!! Thanks for joining my swaps!!
Comment: Love the postcard and stamp you used! I loved reading your small note, reminds me of myself! Always buying craft supplies and then trying to find swaps to use everything! LOL take care, happy swapping :]
Comment: Awesome cards, Thank you very much. Willis tower was Sears Tower when I lived in Illinois. Have not been back to see the partition. Niagara is a fav spot too. Great addition to my maps with NJ Many hearts <3
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful postcard drawing/painting! Love the camel and the sky and everything. (Glad there was no camel on the menu, though - the surfer wouldn't be smiling in that case... :^)
Comment: Hello Cheryl.
Thank you for the compass rose you sent me to complete as part of this swap. You did a beautiful job coloring the 3rd part and labeling it with "Relax." I will finish it and mail it to its owner.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! Thank you for the lovely colored pc! You did a great job on it and I am a tad jealous, as I try but am not the greatest colorer - but I do enjoy doing it! We had a big storm roll through were I was yesterday - driving home in it was so scary, but thankfully all worked out! Today has been cloudy with the sun peeking out now and again - sigh! Thanks for joining the swap and for the lovely Happy Mail! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks for the kind words and rating. Enjoying doing it, is really all that matters! We had more storms here too. Poor guys in Rolling Thunder on Sunday were soaking wet!
Comment: Loved ALL your photos and totally agree with your observations - the b/w WH one was amazing, kind of blew my mind, how cool to send a "sharpshooter" for a Sharp Shooters swap, and the note with the giraffe eating ice cream was fun, too!
Comment: Cheryl I love getting you for a partner!! I love the peacock card!! I think that is so funny that you colored a little in the others block, because I did the same thing!! It is easy to get carried away when coloring!! I love it when you send me an extra card. I must admit I have been printing some off the computer but since they are coming back to me, I hope no one will mind. Thanks for a great swap!! These are now my favorite swaps!! You coloring is very very good!!
Comment: Dear Cheryl, thank you so much for the beautifull colored envelope and everything you included. It is certainly going to find it's wat into my journal. It was nice to read something about the place you life. Hope to meet you again in a swap. Have a Nice day, Angelique
Comment: Cheryl, your package was wonderful. You went above and beyond and I wish I could give you 10 hearts. I adored everything, all the little things you tucked into envelopes, the lobster pockets (ADORABLE) and the halloween items. Thank you thank you!!!
Comment: I apologize for giving you this feedback but I thought I should be honest. I received scrap-booking piece of paper glued on index card . so PC was very soft and bendable. the composition was very basic and included 4 items described in swap + bunch of stickers. so if this is your style I get it. If this is your skills you might want to advance by learning and combining different techniques that you can find online or experiment with like adding rubber stamps or acrylics or mixed media etc.
Just a suggestion . Thank you for putting effort and sending ontime
Comment: Thank you for the Woodrow Wilson Birthplace card. also the great note. I do my exercises at the pool (indoor) year round as it is easier on my joints. I also want to say thank you for volunteering for the Honor Flights. I have everything from when my Father went out of DesMoines, IA about 2 years before he died. It is something he really enjoyed.
Comment: Hi Cheryl! Just received your wonderful postcard of the Laguna Pueblo Indian Couple! Wow that was taken about 1880! My grandmother who passed away in 1975 was born about that time! Interesting to see that yes they didnt smile! That has changed in our society hasn't it? Was reading about them and thinking that they were fighting over their land borders and here we still are doing it today on the planet. Wow by looking at their faces they were NOT HAPPY! They appeared to have wealth though. We just never know these things. If they were married the picture didnt reveal outward of any feelings they might have shared! I am happy i am able to feel feelings and show it! Have a great day!
Comment: ELVIS! You did an awesome job wrecking. I hope you get a nice one too!
Response: You have no idea how excited I was when I looked at your profile. I originally thought I would leave the front for you to decorate- then knowing I had that Elvis cut out, I knew I had to go for it.
Comment: Thanks for your state card from Virginia and the interesting facts. My summer is going well but it has been hot here in Texas. We got a "cold" front this weekend and I'm so happy. Looking forward to fall.
Comment: That photo is amazing! I thought it was a painting until I read your note then had to turn it over and do a double take! Makes me miss Michigan where we did have small towns that looked like that and where the people were friendly.... Thanks so much!!! =)
Comment: Thanks I like Norman Rockwell . I enjoy going to wineries too. Sounds like you had a fun crazy week. what part of Ohio is your brother coming from? We lived in Hicksville Northwest corner on the Indiana,Michigan line. Enjoyed hearing about your week.
Comment: I looooved your postcard. I was an Au Pair on Vienna, Virginia, and my first Au Pair meeting was at the Arlington Cementery, so I have good memories about it. I remember before travelling to the US watching on TV with my grandma a vacation TV show and they talked about the Arlington Cementery, and I wondered if I could visit it. Well, seriously, thank you, you made my day :)
Comment: As per swapdescription, shouldn't it be the Cheryl zoo? ;) Anyway, I LOVE this idea of a zoo mapcard! And a very decorative way of using stickers. Really awesome! Many thanks for this great card! Love it :-)
Comment: Thx for the PC Cheryl，but you did not share any of your bad experience upon swapï¼bot lolï¼
Thx for the resend Cheryl lol! What a special host you have had for asking for a heart after a 5! I will rather give a 5 for whatever I received! The process of picking sending waiting receiving is too much 5 indeed!
Comment: HAHAHA I just sent a greeting card to someone with a very similiar drawing on it. I like it! This seems to be a common style of fish painting in Korea or thereabouts. In the eye of the beholder! :D
Comment: Crazy - you got 30" - I'd like even 3.....Texas..we never get it except once every ten years or so...and it is short and sweet. Thanks for the nice coloring card - I'll keep it with my treasures!
Comment: Hahaha! What a fun swap this was! I loved yours! I definitely prefer M&Ms over snickers! My ransom note says "Give me all the blue bell for your son back!" We just got blue bell back in stores a few weeks ago! I was missing it! Thanks for joining my swap!
Comment: I hope you and your sister had a great time in Chicago. Hope you had a wonderful time. Chicago looks like an interesting city to visit. I hope our sister is enjoying her 70th year - I turned 70 this Fall and I was so surprised - I thought it was further away. I've come to terms with it now. Chris crispycritter
Comment: Thanks for the fun "americana" mail box PC...LOVED it!!! I am glad you explained the re-send but you are correct I never received a first one...so if it ever comes through I will let you know :) A fun swap...happy fall! Charlene
Comment: Thank you for the fun envelope and the goodies inside. I appreciate you checking my profile and will use them for ATCs.In challenge swaps I always like to use as much as possible and it looks like you did the same. Great swap!
Comment: Thank you for the fun envelope! I too have been wanting to try more collages, hence my sign up for this swap! LOVE the peacock and how great your envelope is! I did find all 10 differences in those photos - took me a while, but I did it - woohoo (thankfully I wasn't being timed!). Take care and have a lovely day!
Comment: Many thanks for your fun card, it's reminiscent of Zelda, or something like that..! I hate it when I'm bipping along happily thinking I've got it covered and then don't... Ya just gotta keep on truckin' along..!
Comment: Beautiful card! Love it! We've taken a tethered balloon ride at the hot air balloon championship down near Baton Rouge, LA. It was fun! Too many in the balloon though. I think it would be neat to ride in one where you weren't squished!
Comment: Your clever card with the message still intact arrived today. Thank you so much. The bottle was open on the side for easy access to the msg. (good one!). I don't know if you planned it that way or if curious postal workers just couldn't resist a peek! In my yrs. of living on boats & poking around island shorelines I've found 5 actual bottles with messages. Some had been afloat for yrs, but none had travelled very far from the tourist areas where they'd been tossed. Each a thrill nevertheless!
Response: So glad it arrived with the message still in it. I did leave it opened on purpose, but was afraid it might work its way out. How exciting to actually have found real ones.
Comment: Thanks soooo much for this swap! I needed a Happy Mail Day and I certainly got one! You read my profile and sent the cute little paperdolls, and you took the time to hand decorate the envie! A swap the way it should be and, I agree, it's hard to add to, the airbrushed stencil is so pretty. Thanks for making my day! ♥♥♥
Comment: Forgive me for sounding so mushy okay but I just got home from the hospital after having surgery. I have on my profile listed that I would be offline for a while as I recover. Fortunately right now I am still feeling some what buzzed from the sedation so I just had to go online to make sure to rate you for your swap today. Honestly after a hard and painful day of surgery your wonderful package of postcards was a a perfect pick me up gift. Thank you so much for the wonderful postcards along with the unused stamps. I hope you enjoyed Niagara Falls, I love to visit there at least once a year. You seem like such a sweet person and please if you are looking for a new pen pal, I would love to be yours. Thank you for everything =D
Comment: Thank you for the adorable postcard, Cheryl! The theme is perfect! Here in Seattle area we have has a wonderfully warm winter and spring. It feels like our seasons are one ahead of normal. Thanks for joining my swap :)
Comment: Such a beautiful mail art postcard, the photo is so vibrant and I love that you laminated it! Thank you so much! I'm glad you gave the backstory to as to where it was taken. Its so beautiful I'm gonna frame it and put it in my bedroom that's jewel toned and peacock themed. You did a fantastic job!!!
Comment: Cheryl, thank you for the postcards and extras - I have to tell you that your peacock photograph looks hauntingly familiar to one I have taken here in California! I have bought peacock postcards from the Los Angeles Arboretum many times and share them with others, all the while thinking I could turn my own photo into a card; your photo is GORGEOUS! Thank you for making me smile and laugh with the pin up card! Take care!
Comment: Oh My Gosh! When I saw the first flower I said ~ I am moving there! Then I read your card and guess what? I live 40 minutes from Boston! LOL The other purple ones are gorgeous too. The cabbage ones I have seen but not the ones from Washington DC! And I flipped over the Peacock, it's amazing! Thank you so much for the most beautiful pictures! You really take amazing pictures! Kelly
Response: Thanks for the nice comments. So glad you like them. I almost didn't send the one from Boston when I saw where you were from, but it is one of my favorites so I couldn't resit.
Comment: OMG! I love it! I so want to make one. This is so unique and I just love looking at all the pockets and pages and all the goodies tucked inside. I adore all the Halloween items and the DC post office postcard rocks. Thank you for sending such a treasure!
Response: so glad you liked it. While I am sure you can figure out how to make one, this video helped me get started. Of course you can change it up to whatever you want- You will probably have to copy and paste the link cause I don't know how to make it open automatically.
Comment: Wow!! I would have given you 2 hearts! I had already sent my postcard off and once I got yours I wish I hadn't. I loved all the details you put into making this card. I have not made a postcard from scratch and I love that I have yours now for my future inspiration. Thank you!!
Comment: Thank you for reading my profile and for the wonderful envelope of items. It was a lovely surprise for me on a cold, wet day. I love all the postcards and the elongated penny. It looks like I will have to do some reading about the Civil War. I love learning about new places. Perhaps I will visit one day. Thanks again.

Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card and the nice note too. I hope you are having spring weather now. My husbands folks had a pet bobcat when we married 50 some years ago. She was gentle but made me nervous.
Comment: Hi Cheryl!
Thank you so much for the awesome PC from Atlanta!! I like how it has many different views...this will go great with my collection of the United States; didn't have one from Atlanta yet! Thanks again...Crystal =)

Comment: I received your postcard yesterday in such a cute envelope that I had a difficult moment figuring out how to open it without destroying it. Thanks for the little extra card too with one of most favorite quotes on it - Everyone Smiles In the Same Language :)
Comment: I LOVE Virginia and especially Manassas and the surrounding area! We will be down there in July!! I can't wait! I haven't been down that way in a few years and I miss it!! It's so beautiful and rich with history!!
Thank you for sharing your town with me! I love the photos and the bits of history you wrote about!!
Comment: Thank you for the photos and the write up of the history. My father passed last summer, and I used to take him for hikes at local Civil War battlefields. I have yet to make it to Manassas, but it's on my list! He lived near Frederick, MD.
Response: I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is.
If you ever get down this way, let me know. I would be happy to give you a tour.
Comment: Thank you so much! I'm so happy. Like you, I think I'm making mine much harder than it has to be. Which is why I haven't sent mine out yet! UGH! Thanks again it was beautifully done, I'm so happy!

Comment: Thanks for the great card, Cheryl! I had heard of Christmas in July, but this swap was like Fourth of July in December! I would love to see DC fireworks--I've been in spring and fall, but I think the heat & humidity of a July day in DC would about kill me---we Coloradoans are not used to it! Thanks and happy holidays to you!
Comment: Many thanks for a wonderfully made Christmas card, I'm so lucky to receive original art from a gifted artist! I love all the detail in the drawing, especially the glowing windows in the houses. Have a wonderful Christmas and terrific 2015.
Comment: Thank you Cheryl for the happy nostalgia trip you gave me with the multiview postcard of Virginia. Hello to you Cheryl in Manassas, VA, a historical place. For about 15 yrs my late husband & I lived in Northern Virginia. Most of those years we lived in Reston, VA, & traveled to Bulls Run Park each spring & Autumn to see the Old Dominion Dog Show. The show moved to a new location in 1999 in Virginia. We enjoyed our day trips around Virginia & took our dogs with us. Happy Holidays to you!
Comment: Thank you for the GORGEOUS card!!! Our daughters insisted on the same tradition while they lived at home still. Just had to be careful they wouldn't open something that would keep them up all night like a new must-read book! LOL
Comment: Thank you for the Virginia postcard. I love it! I will actually be visiting relatives in TN and VA for Thanksgiving! I will have to look for the L-O-V-E letters. Happy World Hello Day! :) Leanne
Comment: That's so cool that you got to go there! :D I went on a trip to Las Vegas this summer, and it was cool. My SO's brother wanted to go to the Pawn Shop place, but you had to pay so he changed his mind. :P Thanks!
Comment: Hello Cheryl and Happy Holidays! Yours is my first card of the season ;+) I must admit I am very partial to white cats (one of mine--Mizzy--is white!) so your card really spoke to me! It is, indeed, a small world! I'm so glad you're enjoying swap-bot--hope to see you in many future swaps.
