Comment: The Aloha Cake recipe sounds delicious! I'm going to the grocery store today and I'm adding a few ingredients that I don't have on hand so my daughters and I can make the cake this afternoon! Can't wait to taste it. We need some "aloha warmth" here in chilly Minnesota where it's going to be snowing in less than a week!
Comment: No communication why it went out 5 days late, but thanks for the extra fbs.
Response: Oh Barbi, I am SO sorry I thought I had sent you a PM when the swap was going to be late. I fell while going to a yard sale a few weeks ago and I broke my right arm...I was out of commission for several days and unable to get to the post office. Thank you SO much for the rating and I truly apologize for being late.
Comment: So excited!! Miss Sunshine arrived today, and is just wonderful; I love her headdress, with its lily petals, beads, and fabulous flowers....she's sparkly and happy and I'm delighted! Thank you so much! And the alphabet beads are the perfect touch...
Response: Thank You for the rating...I loved making her.
Comment: I have to giggle.. because my ugly fabric was also orange.. LOL! but I must say the way you finished this sweet little darlin off.. she is really a cutie!!.. I love your use of beads.. such a great idea. Many Thanks. HUGS..
Comment: Thanks for the great package. Your cookies were delicious! I love penguins too...thank you for the tin. I've already found a use for it storing Christmas decorations I make through the year until the holidays. Thanks again! :)
Comment: 1st attempt: Nothing (and I do mean nothing) was written on this card. The swap specifically states to write something to your partner. The card is covered in sloppily cut computer paper printouts of my address and my partner's return address (not even her swapbot id), and there's a stamp of a quote partially hidden under a piece of tape. That's it.
2nd attempt: Cecilia resent this swap, I received on 05/12/2010. While meeting the technical standards of this swap (a handwritten note was included), taped paper (not even fully taped down, the piece of paper with my address on it was secured with a piece of tape down the middle) was featured on both the left and right side of the back of the card (not an attempt at scrapbooking or crafty-ness, just too lazy to actually WRITE the card).
And no, for those postcard collectors out there, there's no option to just turn the card over and just enjoy the picture: I'd love to look on the bright side, but there isn't one: Lake Shasta, Northern California is covered with tape wrinkles, seams, and bubbles of air caught in tape, making an otherwise wonderful scenic view quite unsightly.
Response: Sorry you did not get to read what I wrote on this card. It was returned in the mail because the return address was lower than the addressee so I took off my return and covered my words, after I was already in the post office. If you would like I can send you another card to replace the one you got, because I want to do the right thing and I want to please my partners...watch for a new card.
Comment: What can I say? She is beautiful. I love her head piece and how on earth did you do all the beaded hair and have it stay out?
Response: I'm SO glad you like her because I really loved making her for you. Her head piece is really a napkin ring I found at a Yard Sale and I just sewed the beads and the ring together...Have fun with her. Aloha, Cecilia
Comment: Are you kidding me?!? I received the box-o-goodies yesterday. My goodness you went WAY above and beyond. Thank you! What a great selection. I love everything.... a thousand hearts if it were possible.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely packaging and the fortune cookies, Cecilia. However, they did not meet the swap requirement that they be "different but coordinated". One is turquoise/black, one is red/white and one is purple/green/blue/pink pastels --- all lovely fabrics, but not coordinated. Hugs, Terry
Comment: The swap specified the FBs & LBs had to be made BY you. And you sent me a LB I've already signed. I rate a 5 because it doesn't really matter to me but I think you should be more carefull ! ;-)
Response: You are SO kind..thank you for understanding...Lesson learned.
Response: I'M SO GLAD YOU GOT THE FBS THAT HALIE MADE. SHE WAS SO PROUD OF HER FIRST ATTEMPT AT MAKING HER OWN BOOKS SINCE SHE HAS BEEN WATCHING ME FOR A LONG TIME. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND. ALOHA, CECILIA
Comment: You totally rock! What a wonderful package! The aprons are great!! (And such fantastic sewing! sigh! I'm nowhere near that quality!) Beautiful work! Love, love the magnets and the flower bag case! So adorable! I wish I could give you a dozen hearts! Thank you so much!!
Response: I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKED THE APRONS AND MAGNETS. THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT I HAVE BEEN SEWING SINCE I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND I HAD AN INSTRUCTOR THAT SAID THE INSIDE OF A GARMENT "MUST" BE AS FINISHED AS THE OUTSIDE SO THIS HAS STUCK IN MY MIND ALL MY LIFE. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND. ALOHA, CECILIA
Comment: Wow, you did great!!! When I saw the envie, I told my little boy, "How cute, she has Ernie the Envie on her address labels!" Little did I know, I'd be getting some myself! I love them!! Mickey Mouse is currently one of my son's favorites, so the Mickey card was fantastic! I also loved your swap card, so nice to see a pic of your family! Many thanks!!
Comment: thanks for the smoochie sentiment
with a sweet tropical accent!

which rightfully credits all the little things
that go into GREAT moments!!

Well we meet again on another swap. Thank you for 3 very YUMMY sounding recipes. I look forward to adding them to my collection of recipes in this series as a group of us work toward the letter Z. Thank you, as well, for the beautiful work you did on each recipe card. Each card reflects the care and thought you put into your swaps. Comment: Oh My!!! You Just made my week!!! Thank you so much for everything. Wish I could give you a gazillion hearts. I appreciate the mom coupons...I'll be handing them out to my husband and kids like candy LOL : )
Comment: Thank you so much for my package! It is perfectly me....and I recently found a binder at a thrift shop with about 20 pattern books on ribbon embroidery inside it -- that ribbon is just what I needed; and the flower fairies are perfect.
Response: I am SO glad you liked your package. I love ribbon embroidery too and it is so nice to get things that are appreciated by the receiver. Thank you for the heart too.

Response: I'm glad you liked the recipe. WOW one of my dreams is to visit Paula at her restaurant. My son went to her buffet while he and his family were there during the evacuation of "Hurricane Ivan" and he loved it. But Savannah, GA is a mighty long way from Northern CA.
Comment: Mmmmmm YUM - the apricot bonbons sounds delicious.
Thanks so much for re-sending!
Response: Marisa...I don't know what happened to the recipe I sent on 7/24/09 but I will send a second one today. It was for "Apricot Bonbons" on a homemade postcard. I will put extra postage in case there was not enough on the last card. I hope you will try the Bonbons when you get the recipe because they are GREAT if you like coconut and apricot. I'm SO sorry for you not getting your sway...I AM NOT A FLAKE...Aloha, Cecilia..."Tutu"
Comment: What a wonderfully put together swap! I enjoyed learning so much about Shasta county that I want to go on a vacation there! Thank you for a beautiful scrapbook filled with gorgeous pictures and all the extra goodies, too. I especially love the lavender.
Response: I am so glad you liked your Scrapbook...Shasta County is indeed a lovely place to live and vacationing here is almost as full of activities as my original home...Hawaii...
