I was also very hesitant to try a zentangle, but my sister-in-law looked at some, and said "Oh, yeah... you can't draw straight lines or squiggly lines. You can't draw circles. You definately aren't artisitic enough to do a checkerboard or polkadots..." basically she helped point out how each pattern is pretty simple, but when you put a bunch of them together, you get something amazing! I spent a lot of time googling zentangle patterns and watching videos of zentangles - then I just started to draw one, and got hooked! Now I do them all the time (including on my white board at work!)
Comment: thank you for the email. we have very similar tastes. the only movie i hadn't seen (and loved) is blade runner. ( i know, i know, how could i NOT have seen that movie ) and don't even get me started on Into The Wild. I saw that at a weird time in my life and cried like a baby. Thank you for sharing. ^_^
Comment: Nice job. Your drawing was quite cute but I wish you had valued your talent enough to put it on a heavier weight paper. It would have really made the card shine. I have found that i can buy a tablet of watercolor paper and cut it to atc size for very reasonable... or mount your lovely drawings on card stock to kind of create a mat by sizing your drawing just a shade smaller than the atc size. Anyway... your pug was cute. Thank you.
Comment: LOVED your ATC.... what a great use of newsprint. I can't believe that it was your first atc. I would totally love to swap with you again.
Great job. P.S. give your pup a hug from me and my pup.
Comment: Cherish all the time you have with your Mom.... and I am wishing her a speedy recovery, and hope your all doing great. I just lost my Mom, and I wish I could hug her again.... Happy Swapping... Pat
