Comment: I've added In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl's Journey to Freedom to my TBR list because when I lived in South Korea, the stores of NK defectors were always a topic of interest for me. thanks for all your reviews. xxMuggleMom
Comment: Oh my goodness, I completely thought I rated you for this, I am so sorry! You read some pretty different stories for the month! Some of them are already on my TBR! I read "I am the Messenger" when I was 12 I think. Was happy to read your thoughts on it! I hope you have a great day :)
Comment: Thank you very much for your long and interesting email. You put so much effort into commenting on the books you read last January - wow!
I definitely will have a closer look into a few of the books you read.
Comment: Thanks so much for your lovely postcard! :) The latest docuseries I watched on Netflix was the Disappearance of Madeline McCann which was pretty good. Two other favorite series I watched recently were "Sex Education" and "Big Mouth", the last one is an adult cartoon. Take Care :)
Response: I didn't know they had the Disappearance of Madeline McCann on Netflix! I will check it out :)
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! I love it! I recently started reading "Migrations" by Charlotte McConaghy which has been getting good reviews, but is too soon to tell. I am also starting "How the Penguins Saved Veronica" which looked light and uplifting so it's sitting on my night stand but haven't started it yet. Also, reading "Caste" by Isabel Wilkerson which is so eloquently written but a hard topic to read too much at once. I'm on Goodreads if you want to follow me there :) Thanks again!
Response: Thanks for the recommendations. I have added them to my list to read :D
Comment: Hi Anita & good day to you! How are you during this time of chaos? Thank you very much for the beautiful PC, of the Great Ocean in your country! I love it & it looks so serene! Just like Pennsylvania here in USA, it has changed rapidly. Our borders are closed as well & the only things that are to public, are the gas stations ( a few) and grocery store. We are very rural & have very few things here anyway. Including one grocery store. We are quarantined & only allowed out, if you really need food etc. So tired of being my house & it's going on 2 months of it, ugh! Well, you take care & keep safe!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your list! I am very intrigued by Thrity Umrigar's books and I will search for them. I used to be a fan of Agatha Christie and I've read a lot of her books. I recommend you "Murder on the Orient Express" if you haven't read it yet. Stay safe!
Comment: Thanks for your email! I became really interested in "The Secret Between Us", I really like these kind of stories that are writing about situations in each countries. My sister adores Agatha Christie, I also read one of her books which was pretty good, but since I'm not really interested in reading her genre, I haven't read any other books from her.
Comment: Thank you for your email. I actually have "The Secrets Between Us" starred in my library app. While I appreciate you sharing the last three books you read, I was hoping for more in-depth thoughts. Your statements were vague. Doesn't explain much about the books themselves. Any favourite scenes? Hated characters? Etc etc.
Comment: Thank you for recommending "The Girl With Seven Names" - it sounds very interesting! I like how you said reading her story made you more open and kind to strangers. In these anxious times we all need to remember that we all are in this together. Stay safe and be well.
Comment: Hello Anita! Thank you for the Perth pc. No, sadly I have not been to Australia yet. It is on my bucket list. I would love to do the Molly Dooker wine cruise.. what a treat that would be ;-) Interesting about the Perth visitors!! Happy Postcrossing :-)
