Comment: Hi Tracey,
Loved the flower and I absolutely agree about the multiple sticky tabs! (although having just collected a book from the university library which turns out to be heavily underlined in pink felt-tip all through chapter 3, I think I might prefer sticky tabs ....)!
Response: ugh, exactly, enough with the underlining! Thanks for the rating, and thanks for joining in :)

Comment: Thank you for sharing this terrific tiger with me for lunar new year! I really like his wabi-sabi texture too. So clever how you cut the year out of the packaging words that read chocolate too. Love it!
Response: thanks for hosting another interesting swap! I hope your year is going well so far :)
Comment: That quote, omg. Giggling so hard my kitties looked at me in concern.
I love how you laid out your email. I might have to use your layout as a guide next time I do one of these.
Thank you for sharing.
Response: Thanks, I enjoyed your email too. It's always nice to meet other readers :)
Comment: I had Island Queen on my TBR list already so I'm going to go look to see if my libraries have it available for download. Funny story about the squirrel vs oranges!! 300lbs is quite a lot! xxMuggleMom
Comment: Tracy, thanks for hosting this swap. I loved your book recommendations! They all seem so diverse and something that I would like to read. Definitely checking them out soon - specially, Buffering by Hannah Hart.
Response: You're welcome, Paulami! Thank you for joining the swap. I liked your book recommendations too :)
Comment: Thanks for the info on LibraryThing. I'm definitely going to check it out plus a few of the books you recomm. especially The Secret Life of Groceries - sounds like my kind of reading!! xxMuggleMom
Response: The migration to LT was a bit clunky (easy but imperfect) and the interface isn't as slick, but after a couple months I am liking it a lot. Thanks and happy reading :)
Comment: Thank you for the awesome postcard. I think your drawing of the Chihuahua is very good. It breaks my heart to know how many dogs are in shelters especially pitties. I have a special place in my heart for them.
Response: thank you for the rating, I hope you are having a lucky September :)
Comment: Hahahaha I'm laughing so hard at the battle with Godizlla!! I didn't know there is such poster and yes why is everyone there battling Godzilla hahha. Anyways thanks for this swap! It was just the right time for me to watch and finish the movie about Mary Shelley that I enjoyed very much.

Comment: Thank you...I am pretty sure I review the card, but maybe I did not save it. The card is so adorable. I have it on my mirror and look at it daily. Dogs are fabulous animals and I love your postcard. Thank you again!!!
Response: Thank you for the rating, I think swapbot sometimes makes it more difficult than it needs to be! I am so glad you like it -- I always find it hard to resist a smiling dog ❤️
Comment: I can't wait to try the recipes you sent. :-) They sound so delicious. And i'm a tiny bit jealous about your peach tree. :-D The mail was in the spam folder but i check it regularaly, so it was no problem for me, just so you know that there were still troubles.
Thank you for sending and take care!
Response: Hmm, good to know about the spam folder, these things are so unpredictable! Thanks for the rating and good luck with the vegetable gardening--those zucchinis can take over if you don't keep an eye on them ~ 💌
Comment: Oh my gosh, that book sounds really cool! Have you finished it? A MERMAID ASTRONAUT!??! THAT SOUNDS SO AWESOME! Do you still have it? Is it weird to ask if I can read it? I am weirdly obsessed with space and the ocean so mermaid astronauts sounds absolutely incredible! Thanks for your email, tracey! Happy Pride Month!
Response: I wish I had a book like that, too! If I did, I would surely let you read it--I imagine it would be in graphic format, of course. Thank you and take care :)
Comment: Another person with Hoopla! Now, I seriously need my library to jump on this! Oooh, certainly a cool way to use the catalogue! Thanks, Tracey!
Response: with my library it was a question of cost--whether they could afford to offer hoopla in addition to overdrive. Eventually they had to concede since the digital items have grown so popular. Thanks and happy reading - 📚 ❤️
Comment: I'm sorry for the late rating; my email inbox is a bit of a mess!
I really enjoyed your answer, and it certainly sounds like a wonderful place to visit! I hope you get to pop in there sometime time soon.
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome pc!!! I love dogs and have 3 myself, couldn't imagine life without one.
Response: phew! Glad it made it there safely--It feels like it's been 3 or 4 weeks since I mailed it (April has been a tough month) but I suppose 10 business mailing days is not too unusual. Thank you for the rating and please give your doggos a hug for me :)
Comment: Thank you for the funny gif in your email - and I got my 2nd shot the same day so I feel your pain - pun intended! Super neat that you recommended the blog Mochimochiland. I don't crochet but I have friends that do so I will pass on to them. xxMuggleMom
Response: Oof, congrats on your getting second dose--that day after was kind of a blur for me, but totally worth it! Stay well and happy reading :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome envelopes, especially the hippo one, how wonderful of you to make that for me! I will be incorporating it into my journal, it ain't goin' nowhere! The bulldog is a darling and I know just who to send him to...
Response: glad you like the hippo one! Thanks for the rating and the ❤️
Comment: Ahaha I love your Gollum zine!!! I delayed rating so I could read your email on Tolkien day and I'm very glad I did - it brought a big grin to my face! I've only read the Hobbit but I've seen all the movies, and I finally own second-hand copies of the DVDs of LotR so I'm planning on watching one (or three) tonight.
Hope you have a fantastic Tolkien day and enjoy some PoTaToEs! 🤣
Response: Haha, I hope you are having a wonderful Tolkien day too--so important to remember the day that Sauron was defeated :) 🤎
Comment: Hey Tracy! Sorry for the late rating...I thought I already put it in. This card is SO cute! You have some really good skills!!! Thank you very much. And I did chuckle at the teen math joke. That was cute.
Response: Hi Kristi, aw thanks! I'm glad you liked it :) 💛 🐶
Comment: Wow, wow, love this HMPC - I really didn't realize it was HM. Did you draw Nella Larsen??? And then you picked a book I just read a few weeks ago: "Passing" it was free in my audible.com subscription. The narrator (Tessa Thompson) was brilliant!! I do recommend you read it soon. And her bio is pretty mind blowing also. xxMuggleMom
Response: Aw, thanks! I hand-painted Nella with a water-based inkwash and then added lines with a pen. I really like how her portrait turned out, too and will definitely check out her book(s) soon :)
Comment: Thanks for telling us about the books you’re currently reading. I actually have The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek on my to-read list and have been waiting for it from the library. The Thirty Names of Night sounds like something I might add to my long list as well.
Response: Thanks for your email as well, and happy reading :)
Comment: I received from you! I love everything! Thank you for the notecards, postcards, postalettes (really cute), and Washi samples! You were a great swap partner for this swap! Thanks again for everything.
Response: Hooray! I'm glad the second envelope did make it to you, at long last--Thank you for being so patient! 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Comment: Hey! So many things to comment on! 💖
First, business: I see a Koala 🐨
And the simple outlining around the perimeter of the atc is very effective on this piece, lovely framing. Love that you reuse items, I am always trying to do this as well. I must tell you the backing came loose from the blot, maybe the glue? FYI. An easy fix here ☺️
Second, thank you for the reading! I've never had one before! I wouldn't say at all that the reading was not that helpful, but as anything, we'll see how it pans out. It's only irrelevant until it becomes relevant, right? 😆 I especially appreciated the 7of cups in the something you should know seat. That is completely accurate. I have so many things I want to do, and definitely not enough time to do them all, even if I gave up sleep, which I've pretty much done already... Seriously, focus, thank you 💖
I love your raccoon drawings all over, and even the shading around the address box, I love it, looks great. And of course, thank you for the tea (yay! A new kind!) And the really interesting postcards!
Response: Hm, I thought it looked like an exploding rotisserie chicken, or possibly a chunky race car viewed from the top. But a koala sounds way better! Thanks for the heads up on the glue coming off; I'll experiment and see if I can find something better in the future (it was only a coat of Elmer's this time). This was a fun swap and I'm glad you liked it too :)
Comment: My heart raced a million beats per minute upon receiving the letter! You did an awesome job with the BT21 drawings! I'm very happy! Thank you so much! You deserve 100 hearts! I will sip your hot tea tonight. xoxo
Response: Hi Jaymee, I'm glad you enjoyed the BT21 art, you can tell I had fun making it! 🦙 🐨 🐵 ❤️ 🌈 :)
Comment: Tracey - thank you for the Oakland A's phone pocket. Opening my envelope and seeing the surprise made me smile. I also enjoyed the doodles - I love sock monkeys, poodles, and haikus! You were so thoughtful. Thank you again and keep on swapping...
Response: Glad you liked your surprise! I enjoyed putting your letter together :) 💚 💛 🐘 ♪ ♫ 💚 🐾
Comment: 💙🍪💙🍪💙🥰🤩OMG! I love the postcard that you made so much! Not only was it the only brightly colored & cheerful envie that was in the mailbox today (and my mail carrier actually stacked it neatly on top, which means she liked it too). But, I leaped for joy when I opened it to find a handmade COOKIE monster card! He's got my word and name all mingled into one inspiring note of encouragement and I am posting him on my refrigerator where I can appreciate him multiple times each day!!!If I could hug you, I would & you most certainly deserve a million hearts here! I **thank you** with all of mine🤍!🥰💙🍪💙🍪💙🍪💙🍪
Response: Yay, I'm glad you like it, and that it arrived OK -- sometimes those "busy" envelopes can take longer. Have a lovely ❤️ week!
Comment: Thanks for the butterfly decorated envelope with the nice ephemera you included. I love the color of the papers you sent. It actually goes with the color selection of one of the journals that I plan to make. Take care!
Response: Glad you liked your happy mail! I tried to choose papers that fit with your favorite colors :)
Comment: I love this postcard! Your mermaid is beautiful, and quite adventurous in her spacesuit. :) Also, you have one my favorite profiles I've read so far. Your non-favorites list is the best I've ever seen, and the bonus sloth is very kind of you. Thank you!!
Response: Aw, thanks Christine! I hope the new year brings many good things for your family :) ❤️💛💚💙💜
Comment: Hi Tracey! I really enjoyed reading your email about your personality and writers you share traits with! What a fun swap! Wishing you all the best and please stay safe! Hugs and Happy Swapping 😉
Response: Hi Vicky, thank you, I hope you have a happy and safe holiday too ❤️️
Comment: Bone Gap slaps, does it not? Lovely to hear recs from a fellow librarian--I'm always on the hunt for more spooky middle grade books to recommend. And Mexican Gothic is on my TBR list too! I totally miss the little kids in their costumes in the library!
Response: Thanks, Heather! Small Spaces by Katherine Arden was also a good middlegrade spooky read 🎃 🎃 ❤️
Comment: I love Artemis Fowl! I am steadfastly pretending the movie adaptation never happened though.
I agree that libraries years ago didn't realize teens existed, which is a shame! Sounds like your library does lots of cool stuff.
Hooray for Rick Riordan presents! He's doing much better things with his fame than other people (cough, Patterson, cough), and I'm psyched to read the Tristan Strong series (I've heard it's maybe the best middle grade ever published!).
Response: well, the movie adaptations are bound to disappoint --thanks for swapping with me and happy reading! 🌈 📚
Comment: Your wallet is SO cool!!! I've never seen anything like that before. That's awesome!! I'm glad your were so productive in your 15 minutes and that you were able to finish your project. Spiderman: Homecoming is a good movie too!! Have a great weekend!!
Response: Thank you, this was a fun swap! I hope you have a great weekend, too 🦙🌵❤️
Comment: I'm very critical of main characters, so kudos for making it through the book despite your feelings changing! Seems like an interesting premise for the book, and I've never read anything in Shanghai before! Nice choice!
Response: well I abandon TONS of books (3 already this week) so I guess this says something about the skill of the author and narrator? Thanks for the ❤️!
Comment: I'm so sorry you have been dealing with the smoke from the wildfires. I couldn't imagine how it is living in that area right now. The flower picture is so pretty; flowers are one of my favorite things to take pics of.
Response: thank you, Hannah! I know I am still very lucky. ❤️️
Comment: Mahalo nui loa! 🌺🤙🏽😊 You totally made me smile today! I love the pretty autumn coloring page that you made and the beautiful postage stamp from Kirabati! Even the neatly handmade envie of dogs was a cheerful delight! Many, many thanks!!!💕
Response: Yay, glad you liked it. Thanks for the ❤️!
Comment: Thanks for the swap.
We typically road trip through southern states in the spring and northern states and Canada in the fall. We haven't done any this year, except to content ourselves with day trips in our own two state area. Its actually nice to see everything we used to just drive past on our way to somewhere else.
Response: That sounds nice! We wanted to take some more local trips this summer but haven't been able to because of the heat and fires and/or evacuations. Stay safe ❤️
Comment: Wow - a real artist! I love the view of Rome. I spent 3 weeks in Florence, and I would have guessed it was there. And I didn't know about window-swap.com. Valuable! I love the cut out -- dolphins and crabs. And such a cute little doggie <3
Comment: Thank you for your email. Wow- your library has so many cool things you can borrow.
Response: Thanks for the prompt rating :). Yes, there are so many cool things! I just hope all the libraries can weather out the next several years; it looks like the budget will be very lean for a while.
Comment: yay, i absolutely love the view of hong kong harbor ... wisht i were there, but i guess maybe not with all the political crap. anyway, i just happened to eat a peach this morning - first of our season & was more delish than i expected: envious of your bodacious harvest > have a joyful n' juicy weekend ... we are doing fine & looking forward to my turn to read Trebeck's memoir via curbside pickup soon!
Comment: I was delighted by your beautifully drawn skunk postcard! I've always had a fondness for animals that get an undeserved bad rap, and the rainbow accents make it even better. The folding envelope is fascinating -- I've never seen one like that before! The zine made me laugh, and the tea wrapper will definitely be joining my collection. The octopus on the envelope is a wonderful touch as well :) Thank you so much for everything!
