Comment: Thank you Kristin for the great card and mini book reviews! Sad to say I haven't read much from the 1900s at all, so it was very interesting to read your thoughts about some of these works as well as the adaptations or retellings inspired by these originals. I have a friend who's obsessed with Phantom so I'm really curious to see if she's read Sing Me Forgotten too!
Comment: Thanks for the list! I do hope May is a better month! I've had to forego challenges that are too directed - I decided I will read what I like and if it means I'm not a well-rounded reader, at least know I have been entertained by my choices.
Comment: As I was reading your reviews I was thinking "I hope the next book was better, I hope the next book was better", really hoping for April to have a redeeming arc. I'm sorry it failed you! I do hope you get better reading experiences in May! =)
Response: Awwww, glad you were rooting for me. I hope May goes better. It could just be a slump, ya know? Where I read a lot of good books, but they just don't penetrate the slump? Would be nice to bust outta this funk, though.
Comment: You note was sweet as can be! I can imagine your excitement when you opened your door. The card itself is a total work of art. I am making my childhood best friend a unicorn junk journal and I will have to use this image. Then, the postcard...I have never seen these before! and the stamp is gorgeous. Thank you so much!
Response: I am sooooo hapy you are finding a use for the front of the notecard. When I send those, I purposely don't write on the picture side so they can be repurposed by the recipient because they are just so beautiful!
Comment: TBH I'm no longer vegan. I dabbled in it here and there but I've found that pescatarian is working well for me.
Response: I would love to be pescatarian, but I truly hate the taste of fish. I have tried to get over it because I'm an adult and shouldn't be like, "Ew, fish." But it is just too gross. So I am mostly vegetarian, but still eat meat on occasion (like when my hubby or mil cook).
Comment: LOVE the colors on the PC! My sister lived in CO for a year and I got to visit once but it was in the dead of winter and snow was everywhere and all the pretty colors were no where to be seen! I feel the same way about getting the same partners for all the time, I don't get it either! Thank you!
Comment: I’m happy you get the name headache. I also *love* finding my name on things in gift shops spelled differently than how mine is spelled. So close yet so far lol. My dad said he spelled my name the way he did because he wanted me to stand out from the others because Corey was a popular name at the time. He meant well!
Comment: Your reason for being late made me laugh: aortic aneurysm! The one I used was "abducted by aliens"!! I've also requested the book you listed from the library, looks like a good read! Thank you!
Response: Oooh, your reason was good. Honestly? Aortic Aneurysm was literally the first thing that came to mind. ^laugh^ How terrible is that! The book is really good. I'm not positive I'll continue the series, but that's just mostly because I'm kinda over every YA book having to be a series.
Comment: Hi Kristin! Thanks so much for the lovely Garden of the Gods pc - we visited there when our sons were little, something like 16 years ago!! Loved it than and would love it now! Wishing you all the best on your new school year - our youngest is a senior in college this year, hoping and praying he graduates in May!! LOL! Bummer about the foot problems but yippeee on the tennis shoes! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Oh my gosh! I was just thinking about you, and the color orange! You're married a year now, still like the middle schoolers? I'm a pre-school lover myself, did a little Art class for the 7/8th graders........Well, thanks for the nice PC, hope all is well! = ) ♥♥♥
Comment: Sorry about the late rate! I just found two PCs that had gotten stuck behind some boring mail. What a coincidence! One of my closest friends is from Vegas and he mentioned this to me the other day!
Comment: Very cool! I would love to start journaling regularly. I kind of do, but it's a journal callled Kiel's Simple Journal, where there is only a couple lines for each day and then some silly questions. Thanks!
Response: I love those journals! Just been too cheap to buy one for myself.
Comment: I never thought about having multiple books but only one for each location. I like that!! Sometimes I want to read so many at once but I get confused or like one more and spend all my time reading it and not the others. Such a good idea. Thanks for sending!
Comment: Thanks for the pc's. Anything is good as long as it's a change. I like having lotsa different choices and I can always use weird ones to write a note and stick in with another type of swap! = ) ♡♡♡
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful postcard! I know the feeling of potentially playing step-mom. My fiance has three kids and I haven't met them even once! I'm sure you're doing great and they are having a blast with you :D <3
Comment: I really enjoyed reading your responses. They gave me several new books for my to-read list. I hope your reading experience improves soon and you come across something that you absolutely love!
Comment: Thank you for the great PC... I lived in Cali for many years & I've never seen the Sequoia's. How sad is that?? Card snob eh? Lol! Girl, you should make them! I can't believe how expensive they are to buy! Either way, I'm sure your pops appreciates it. Your a good daughter Mz. Kristin!! ♥♥♥
Comment: Congratulations (on getting married) and "Best Wishes" on keeping those worthy goals. Funny, my friend posted on FB that she has been married 24 years. I was her Maid of Honor & the wedding was in Vegas. So, that is how long it has been since I have been there, it also debunks those who say a Vegas wedding doesn't last.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. I felt very tired when I read about your workout. We are having a heatwave here. It is the fifth day of maximum temperatures of above 40C. Working out is not something that I am even considering this week.
Comment: Awesome! Loving your journal so far! I'm taking my time to soak it all in...you took 4 months writing it, so I should give it ample attention! You had a BUSY summer - oh my! : ) Thanks again for another fantastic swap!
Response: I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I was terrified it would be subpar. Love swapping with you, girlfriend!
Comment: We LOVE MadCaps! I live only about 10 minutes from there. I just took my daughter and her friend there for her birthday 3 weeks ago. I looked up that movie you mentioned and it sounds very similar to Repo Men, another very RED and bloody movie!
Comment: Kristin, thanks so much for the journal and your entry. I really enjoyed reading it. Best of luck in your new relationship and upcoming play. I hope both turn out just the way you planned them. =) xoxo
Comment: Loved your letter, yes I completely agree Xander would never have cheated poor storyline from Joss there. Haha angel was super mopey lol And Buffy could be a little self obsessed at times. Cheers for this letter was awesome being able to talk to a fellow Buffy fan :) Cool swap xoxoxo
Comment: I love your cards!!
Both quotes are new to me. I like the pebble one, so true. The other one is a bit dark ;-) and I still need to think about it more, not sure if I comprehand the full meany (yet). Thank you for a nice swap!! Oh, and I hope your cold is better and the first meet up was okay :-)
Comment: Wow - love the sunflower card, but especially love the story about your first date!!! So fun to meet someone nice and that you enjoy their company! Thanks for sharing that special story with me and for such a nice swap!
Comment: I enjoy this swap, thank you for hosting it!
I also adore your notecard, very nice design, unusual but very informative topic. Thank you for sharing, I am now aware I knew NOTHING about mushrooms :-)
Comment: Gosh, I'm so sorry! I completely forgot to rate you!!! So, a bit too late, thanks a bunch for your letter - I won't write any more because you have my letter about the book, so you know, how much I liked it too. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful Colorado PC! I was actually just there at the end of March on vacation with my dad. It's so sad to hear about the fires. My heart goes out to those affected, and if you are evacuated, I hope it's not for long.
Comment: Thank you for sending to my Swapbot mail since the email wouldn't work. I have no idea why not because my account is active.
I've been wanting to read 'A Certain Slant of Light' for years but had forgotten all about it. Thank you for the reminder! (I've also done the Couch to 5K and think it's great!) :) Apologies for taking so long to rate!
Comment: I drove through Colorado, but didn't really get to sight see or visit. It's on my list that's for sure. I've even thought about moving there a time or two. :) The PC is beautiful thank you. I would make that my favorite spot as well. It looks so peaceful & majestic.
Comment: Thanks for the funny pc! Good for you "tightening your belt" I have done the same over the past few years, and I've discovered that I really don't miss shopping. In fact I've made some money selling off excess possessions at consignment stores, etc. Now I try to save my moeney for what I really love- traveling. I'd rather collect life experiences & memories than things :)
Comment: Just love the fantasy theme cards you use! I loved to dance when I was younger too, and always said I would never date anyone who couldn't. But guess what? Both DH1 and DH2 cannot dance - they can barely walk! lol Hugs, Terry (";)
Comment: Thank you for the great card and all the great natural healing advice. I agree, garlic cures all! I am glad I love it. I am going to try the ginger oil because I take a lot of Advil! Thanks for the great swap and info. Hugs, Mona
Comment: I really enjoyed reading about your day. I really admire your patience in being able to be a teacher! As for getting married, pah! I say. As my super feminist mother always says, "Marriage is so passe! Stay single and travel the world! ". I was nodding along laughing at your many *sighs*. Life is full of those moments. Thank you for the beautiful notecard as well. I love the over-sized card you wrote to me in, I'm googling the manufactuerer asap. xx
Response: I have a TON of those oversized notecards, so if you ever wanted to do a private swap, I'd be happy to do so. All sorts of different designs too.
Comment: My sister and BIL are teachers who have lived and taught all over the world. Unfortunately, many countries do not pay their teachers enough, and it always boggles my mind to see American teachers having to work part-time jobs just to make ends meet. Teachers of our children truly deserve better than that! Hugs, T (";)
Comment: Better late than never on this rating huh? Sorry, recovering from gallblader surgery. Iloved your story! better late than never there too! And your card was so cute! I can't find cute cards to save my life. Take care...and more vacations! Happy Swapping! Jen
Comment: Both my partners for this swap sent the same turtle PC! How funny is that!
I did receive your PC even though you did not have my name on it, just my address!! Guess I've got a good mail person. LOVE the card...it will go in my collection of turtle PCs.
Response: ^facepalm^ How could I forget the name!? And how hilarious you got the same card! :)
Comment: Hi! Thanks for sharing about your pets! We have two pooches and all though they are work at times, they are just like family! Our Heidi girl is off her food at the moment and has me worried, so... Hope you are able to get a dog soon! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Wow - what an eventful time you've had lately with your play and trip to hospital! Hope all is well now and I bet you were amazing in the play!!! :) Thanks so much for filling me in on what's been happening!
Comment: I got your pc. The Blair Witch Project is lame...sorry I fell asleep watching it. Love Mindhunters. I haven't seen the Happening. I've only seen the Jack Nicholson version of the Shining. Rose Red was decent. Never even heard of Identity. The Secret Window is good.
Comment: Thank you for the 5 notecards, Kristen! I think I loved the lighthouse notecard the best and then that cute little sketch of the orphanage was so pretty. Thank you for coordinating this swap! :)
Comment: Accidently respionded with a 5 but did not get response from her. Coordinator was great.
Thanks very much. Sorry about the delay. Nice swap,
I'm really screwed up. I still received nothing but get notices to swap and I got confused. Again, I received nothing.
Response: MDSolo rated me TWICE before this thanking me for the swap and saying she received and has now rated me a 1 saying she hasn't received. I didn't receive a PM from MDsolo until today saying she hadn't received. I am working to determine what happened in order to make this right.
Comment: Great list. I have read Fahrenheit 451 and loved it. I have also read the picture of dorian gray. I've thought about reading the lovely bones, just haven't gotten around to it. But yeah most of your list isnt my style. ;)
Comment: Kristen--what an accomplishment for your summer! WOW! I'm not sure I could enjoy the mud part--let alone be fit enough to do any of the event! You can be very proud of your accomplishment! You earned this heart for making it through the Zombie 5-K! At 63, I don't think I'll be trying anything near that--I'll stick to my bicycling as soon as my hand has recovered from surgery in mid-July. I still have a month or more of physical therapy before they can allow me to begin strengthening work for the hand which is a bit essential for shifting gears and using the brakes! I was up to 9 mile rides when I had to stop for the surgery. Hubby and I hope to work our way to making 20 miles rides. I'm determined to get back out there as soon as surgeon will allow!
Thanks for sharing your amazing summer accomplishment! It has helped motivate me to get back to that bicycle by sticking with all of the rehab exercises I'm to do every day!
Hope this finds you having a good day and a great week!
Response: Thanks for the wonderful comment and rating! :) Good luck healing up! There's nothing better than conquering a goal you set! :)
Comment: Hi! Thanks so much for the lovely card and it was fun to get to know you! Your life does sound pretty hectic and a tad crazy, but also fun - so enjoy! I hope your play goes well! I love live theatre! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hi Kristin
Just received your lovely postcard. I would certainly love to visit the "Garden of the Gods" - it looks so picturesque and the colours are simply wonderful. Thanks for taking the time to write a nice, friendly note and I wish you all the best for returning to your "calling" - what a worthwhile profession! Take care, Barbara
Comment: Thank you for the PC and the information about the book. Was this based on the story about Masada? I have read up on that. It is very interesting. I will have to get this book too. Hugs to you from Alaska. Sherry
Response: I DO believe it is about Masada. They fortify themselves in King Herod's fortress? It was really good. It is told through the point of view of 4 different women.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard of Colorado columbines, Kristin! I also enjoyed hearing about your grandmother's columbine garden. It was extremely heartwarming and I am glad I could share in that memory with you. :) Happy Sunday and Happy Swapping! I hope you will join in more of my panoramic PC swaps as I continue the series! ;)
Comment: I am so glad to hear that you have taken up running!! Sounds like you are having a lot of fun (yay!!!!). I am so jealous you get to do the zombie run, they dont do one near me. Good luck and keep on runnin!
Comment: Thanks for the notecard. Sorry you are not having any luck with the books you've been reading.Someday I will finish that Kerrilynn Sparks book and get it to you. I haven't been reading either so I can't even pretend to offer you suggestions.
Comment: I love the PC you sent! Glad you saw Wicked!! I loved that musical, but nothing will ever beat The Lion King. That was by far the best broadway show I've ever seen. If you're ever in NYC, you have to check it out!
Comment: I'm not sure which I like better -- the quotes or the card you wrote them on! I may have to frame the card -- it is too beautiful to put away in a box or scrapbook! Hanks a bunch, and happy swapping!
Response: Thanks for the rating. Those cards /are/ so beautiful!
Comment: I really enjoyed reading about your songs. They all have such great back stories. I love how some are funny stories, some are simple stories and how some have deeper meaning than just a simple song.
Comment: What a wonderful READ your letter is! That is quite a goal, to read 50 a year -that's almost one per week - no way I could keep up with that schedule! Good Luck with your 50 this year!!!!! May you find amazing gems!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed writing the letter. I'm doing pretty good on the goal. Definitely ahead of where I was last year at this time. :)
Comment: Thanks for the lovely PC! My favorite book from my youth would have to be one of the many joke books I liked to read and tell people. I remember going to the book mobile (a moving library that came to small towns that had no library) every 2 weeks and getting a new joke book. The driver used to hold them for me cuz he knew they were my favorite. Ya I was a nerd, lol.
Comment: Sorry for the delay in rating. I loved the fact that you wrote it on the back of your karaoke pages. I've always been of the mindset that I wouldn't want to change even the bad. But I don't blame you for it. It was a wonderful letter and thank you for sharing it!
Comment: I live in MI, and I have the same exact card!! Did you check where I was from first? It was something from my profile, but I live here!! Sorry I can't give you a heart for that reason. I hope you understand!!
Comment: Thanks for the great Sinatra PC, I'd fly with him anywhere. I like to scribble random thoughts sometimes too, (and always date them!), & then glue in pictures & random papers around it. It doesn't always make sense when I look at it later, but it's still fun. take care 'til we swap again. ;)
Comment: Thanks for the awesome Simpsons-pc! I just love it! It's nice to hear that you like Shutter Island too! :) The ending of the movie is just great, I'm confused everytime I watch the movie :D I should also read the book, I think it's as good as the movie! Thanks again! :)
Comment: Hi Kristin, Love the postcard. Wish I knew what kind of flower seeds they are. Some didn't make it through the mail. You can see where they popped out. Thanks so much!! That was an unusual PC!!!!
Response: Awww, that's too bad. I beleive the postcard says they are just wildflowers. :) Maybe there will be enough to plant in the Spring! :)
Comment: I did what you are doing after my divorce for many many years. When the children finally left, I didn't make meals either. But I went and had the biggest breakfast at Friendly's and that sustained me through the day. Finally after 30 years, I found someone that was worth waiting for.
Comment: Hi Kristin! What a fun look into your world this was - I almost felt like I was reading a novel in a way since I feel like I know so much about how your work and karaoke hosting treats you. Such fun to read!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed reading! :) I'm glad you got a taste of my world. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Lovely postcard and a really nice message to read - i hope your friend does get to come over here, Manchester is only about 45/50 minute drive from where I live, it's a great place to live and work. Thanks again =)
Comment: Hi Kristin, Thank so much for the postcard with stickers. I do the same thing - getting sucked into a movie when I ought to be cleaning something - glad I'm not the only one, haha. You deserve some relaxing downtime though. Take care ;)
Comment: Thanks for the lovely marbled notecard, Kristin. I agree, it's frightening how often we're getting 100+ degree temps now. Is it truly hopeless? I love the torrential downpours too & can't wait for cooler Fall days. Take care ;)
Comment: Wow! I have never heard of anyone else that has read the Raw Shark Tests unless I let them borrow my copy! Very cool. I did enjoy that book very much. I agree with you about the ending and am also not sure about it.
Your quartered postcard came out awesome. Thank you! :-)
Response: I was so excited when I saw that book on your profile. I might have squeed. ^laugh^ Glad you enjoyed the postcard.
Comment: Thanks so much! I will definitely be able to use all that great stuff. And I always reuse envelopes :) My son helped me open the package and he immediately grabbed the stickers and started decorating his legos. So they are very summery now :) Thanks again!!
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you're happy with the package! May you write many wonderful letters!
Comment: I love these swaps too! The thing that really kills me about what I learned about you is that you hate to sleep just about as much as I do. You're a night owl just like me, and I didn't think about it at the time, but I would also like to magically be able to go without sleep haha. I just HATE it! There's so much stuff I wanna do! Also, I love the way you answered the heart vs. head question. I too have been burned by following my heart. However, you're right. Heeding warnings that you are sensing makes the most sense to me too! Thank you so much for a great letter! <3
Comment: Thanks for the PCs. It's funny how everyones tastes are different because I really like the ones you sent :)
Response: Well, I'm glad you liked them! I got the exact same set of Pomegranate PCs the last two times I ordered, so I'm trying to pass them off to other peeps. :) Glad it worked out for you. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Yes, my dear, I know the feeling :-) Letter writing is my way of letting my inner writer out.
I didn't have Postman in my Netflix queue, but it is now :-) Thank you for the recommendation!
My Orphaned Postcard Project has been an amazing way for me to connect with people ... teeny piece of paper that carries so much memory.
Response: I really hope you like the Postman. I love it. Probably more than it deserves! ^laugh^ Thanks for the rating. And for the awesome swap topic! :)
Comment: love your journal...already see a lot of common ground in our thinking. I have been circling all the things that I could talk about like you were saying you did with your friend. if you ever need another pen pal...let me know. my current one is kind of flaking on me...
Response: Yay! Glad it already got there and you're enjoying it! I'd love to hear from you if you want! :)
Comment: Thanks Kristin! Did you notice you sent me two cards? Just thought I'd check! I haven't heard of the books you recommended but I'll definitely look them up. I loved the postcard with the saxophones on it :)
Response: I didn't think the first pc would get there since I mailed it after the postage change without the penny stamp. So I sent a 2nd. :)
Comment: I really enjoyed your response, Kristin. I daydream about the same thing too, & am more sentimental about paper notes, etc. from my childhood than I care to admit. Thanks for the details & the emotion. Oh, & for the stickers in the card & on the envie, nice touch. Take care ;)
Comment: I love this PC. . . I gree with you that the form and the colors make it so beautiful. I'm sure you are beautiful but I understand exactly how you feel and think most people go through the same thing from time to time!!! Thanks again for the beautiful PC ~~
Comment: Hi Kristin, it was a joy to receive your cheery card today! :) I also happened to write a lot of my swap mail while I'm at work ;) haha.I hope you had a lovely dinner with your friend at the Thai place, oh and your visit to the dentist too :) I am not really a fan of the dentist so I really admire you for that!
Response: I had a great dinner with my friend. I didn't used to like the dentist. I don't know what caused the change, but It's nice to look forward to, instead of dread, seeing my dental hygienist. :)
Comment: thanks for the answer you gave!i'd be too afraid to have lipo done, tho they could easily take 50 lbs of fat off me! that was a great card....funny, i had it too and sent it to someone a couple weeks ago. nice to have it come home (in a way)!
Response: I've been getting a lot of cards I've been sending out too. I love it! :)
Comment: Thanks so much for sharing this awesome Thanksgiving adventure with me! I think it is SO COOL that you got to meet your online buddy. What a great Thanksgiving! I have an online friend/pen pal that I'd love to meet, but she lives across country. Maybe some day. And thanks for making it a map PC. I'll add it to my collection.
Comment: Hello Kristin- Thanks so much for the nice postcard of James Dean. It's unfortunate that he didn't live long enough to make more movies. I have only seen one of his movies, and I thought it was good. I think it was "Rebel Without A Cause". I hope you are having a nice week. Sincerely, Debbie Christian
Comment: thank you for your kind cords, and please...stay strong & listen to your heart...it has taken me 50+ years to get to this point of such contentness! Withg PLENTY of "stalls", bumps, and crashes along the way! ;) It is so true what they say about getting "wiser" as you get older...gosh, if i had only known THEN what i know now...just listen to your inner voice and let the universe guide you. You will find your highest good and happiest path, i just know. Big hugs to you! :)
Response: Thank you for the wonderful rating and your words. :)
Comment: Thank you for the darling journal. I learned a lot about writing journals through yours. Thank you for sharing your work with me, it was an absolute delight to read! I love the color orange!! *it's part of my shop's color scheme :D
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And I'm glad I could give you a different perspective on journaling. :)
Comment: LOVE your leafy bookmarks! They're so pretty and original!!! (I would insert a Pueblo-has-trees?? joke here, but I'm too astonished by these bookmarks to be snarky!) :) I really enjoyed reading your letter about how you came up with the idea. I'm going to try and write you back (mainly to babble about my connections to Pueblo), but until then, thanks again for the beautiful bookmarks! :)
Response: You are so kind about the bookmarks. I'm glad you liked them! :)
Comment: Thanks for the spooky note! I think most people can admit to pitch black darkness being pretty spooky, and it is usually worse when you are alone! There is definitely a big difference between the city and country darkness because of light pollution so I can definately understand that.
Thanks for the lovely notecard--I will definitely be cutting up the front to use for other projects (and I wish I went to a school like that with the other card you included!).
Response: I have TONS of those cards if you ever wanted to do a private swap. All different designs. :) Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Wow. That's huge. Eleanor Roosevelt (personal favorite) said, "Do one thing every day that scares you." I think it's pretty solid advice, and I try to live by it. I wish you the best of luck in making your decision. One final thought: the important things, the right things - they are rarely simple and never easy.
Response: Thanks for the quote! :) You are so right. Rarely simple and never easy. ^sigh^
Comment: Hi Kristin, I love the brisbane card. I was offered a job interview for a company in Oz just a few days ago and had to turn it down. i'd love to move, prefer nz to oz but either would do! how did the meeting go?
Comment: Hello, namesake! :-) Thank you for the postcard from Knoxville zoo - I agree, how fortuitous that your friend should have sent it to you. :-) Also agree that zoos can be depressing places sometimes ... one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life was the elephant in Belgrade Zoo a few years ago. If she was human she would have been in a mental institution. :-( But some zoos are wonderful places too, like this one: http://www.nordensark.se/en/about-nordens-ark/ which I visit every summer with my friends, we have an annual road trip thing we do. :-) Thanks again and happy swapping!!
Comment: Thank you for the nice note. I would like to go to Mt Rushmore sometime. I an understand how you felt during the national anthem. I get choked up for some reason nearly every time I hear it. I can imagine that it could be quite moving in that location.
Response: You were my 100th heart! Thanks so much for rating!
Comment: I finally picked up your card, sorry for the delay in rating.......Very cool! You get a heart for commentary! I can tell you would be a nice penpal! I like that you were able to get a card with a familiar picture-somewhere you actually travel. Thanks!
Response: I'm glad you contacted me about swapping! We should do it again sometime! Enjoy swap-bot!
Comment: At first when I got this and started reading it I was like WTF?? LOL--I didn't realize it was the swap until I started reading further down, lol. I was about to get pissed! haha j/k! Good advice--something I should have done myself. And now...you have me wondering about Dave...
Response: Dave is my ex-husband. He was also a conman who stole money from "us", stole a government stipend that was in our name (insisting we never got it) and tanked my credit by opening accounts in my name. Yea...those people actually exist outside of Lifetime movies.
Comment: This was a great poem and a great reason. Thank you so much for sharing, it really had me wondering about some of the same things. I think i might have even obsessed over it with a cup of coffee for a little while too. Thanks for the great swap!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. I had a hard time deciding which one to use!
Comment: Thank you for the comment! I read yours too. I think it's sweet that you moved for love. I'm interested in what you'd do with hand-written Google directions! Love me some Spongebob, and now you have me craving chocolate! Haha =]
Response: I just tape a bunch of random google directions to a page in my journal on occassion. It's just a collage, really. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: What a great package! Everything is so cute. I especially loved the book you sent. We don't have near enough books for our son so I'm sure he'll love it (once he's old enough to 'get' it that is)!!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can't tell you how hard it was for me to put that package together!
Comment: Thank you for what you wrote. I realized that knowing God's character (His love, goodness, etc.) helps me to trust Him more. I'm reading a good book called, "The Grand Weaver" by Ravi Zacharias. It encourages us to see God's hand working in our lives.
Comment: I'm not usually big on fantasy-style artwork but your *Yellow City* PC captivated me, so thank you! I am appalled your city doesn't offer plastics recycling with the garbage collection. That's pretty lax of them! Is there at least a recycling facility you can drive to easily enough? You should get together with a few likeminded people, each save a month's worth of the kinds of plastics (eg. PET bottles, etc) and metals (eg. empty steel & aluminium cans) that you would otherwise recycle, and dump it all at your local council office's front door! Preferably *not* in a garbage bag, hehe. (Unless it's a tiny town and you think you might get caught.) :X You could leave a letter explaining the mess, or a copy of that book. ;)
Comment: I'm very glad you were able to track me down. I send valentines year round as a pretty surprise. These post cards are very pretty, sweet vintage is my favorite. Thanks again for thinking about me and finding me around swap bot. This has been a great swap, you are a great coordinator. Valentine post cards are hard to find, thank you, Doskie
Comment: Interesting and funny card! I sure wouldn't want to be way up there. Yes, my husband and I do love country music and many others here in Maine do, too. My favorite country singer is Willie Nelson. There are many, many wonderful ones! Thanks for the card and message. ~Gail
Comment: Dear Kristin, thanks a lot for the postcard! I know exactely how it is to be afraid of open water. I would never swim in a lake. Two years ago I tried the ocean, but it was no fun at all, it was horror ;-) Greetings from Germany! Iris
Comment: Love it Kristin -and i didn't think it was that close either! I think I'd have taken Bush more seriously if he wore that beanie with the propeller on it his whole presidency - well I'd have enjoyed seeing him more at least, LOL!
Comment: Thanks for the pretty postcard! Your necklace sounds really neat, I wouldn't mind having one of them :) I have a stuffed turtle that I travel with too! I got him at build a bear a while back and I named him Thomas.
Response: I have a turtle bath toy I named Thomas! ^laugh^
Comment: Got your card yesterday but had computer problems when I tried to rate. It isn't supposed to snow in AZ this time of year, and I think it was disrupting communications! I love the card -- thanks so much! And I am fascinated by your name. I think we must be kindred spirits or something -- having a different name does change your outlook on life! Happy swapping!
Comment: Cool! Strange but neat! Thanks so much! And yeah, I saw all 3 LOTR extended versions back to back too, held at a movie hall! Difficult to stay awake, but was a superb experience! I wish there were more movies that would gave me the same impact though!! Take care!
Comment: Thank you for the sweet note, my collection of stuff is what makes me also. Your card was fun, interesting and made me happy. It;s been a long time since I've seen a sky "full" of stars, it's time to get away from the city. Thanks again for the lovely things to be happy about
Comment: Wow! What a great letter you wrote. You did a remarkable job in finding so many ways to use your words and keep up a cohesive narrative. I really loved your use of different colored ink.
Comment: I loved the postcard with its relaxing, natural look and really enjoyed the poem. It had a wonderfully positive, uplifting feel to me that I found hopeful. Thanks so much and have a lovely day!!! What a fun swap!!!
Comment: The stories were awesome! I adore futuristic dystopia, so the first two really struck a chord with me. The third seemed like a really interesting beginning to a novel I want to read! The first one reminded me a lot of Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery", which you should definitely read if you never have.
Comment: Thanks for the great websites! I forgot to include my username in my email - I hope you still got it figured out. Don't forget to stop by my blog if you'd like to be friends! http://nelliebugs-swaps.blogspot.com
Comment: Thanks! And remember, it's never too late to make your dream a reality!:) (friendly p.s. I only knew this was from you by process of elimination- remember to put your name on swaps so you don't miss out on ratings;)
Response: Thanks for the tip. I guess I forgot because I've put my name on all the others!
