Comment: I really enjoyed reading your comments on the books you had read and have marked a couple to add to my own TBR list!
Response: Yay, I must say that is maybe the best part of doing these email exchanges, I go back and remember what I read and also the fact it might lead people to read what I did. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Ah Dee, I'm sorry you had so many DNFs! I don't think I had this much in my life, but in the end of the year I barely manage to finish 40 books. If you would like book recommendation, I love to recommend!
Response: Yes, please. What would you recommend I try? Thank you for the heart!!
Comment: Dee you are killing it with the books!! I LOVE IT! I want to find out what you DNF - send me another email! June is not over so you'll hit your goal I hope - but summer and getting outdoors is just as fun! I hope we are partners in other swaps so I can hear your list of good books too!! Thanks for joining the swap!! xxMuggleMom
Response: Thank you for the heart, and I did send you that follow up email.
Comment: Wow - you're a month ahead with your yearly goal! Makes sense - you never know when Life will Happen :) I think we have very different tastes, but I love knowing there are book lovers out there. My tribe <3
Response: 💙 Happy Reading! Thank you for the heart.
Comment: What great books!! Paranormal and a fantasy! I can escape from life for a bit when I read these! I appreciate these swaps! Thank you so very much!5-14-22~~Thank you so much for the second round of books! I am so excited
Comment: May 10, 2022. 💜✅☀️♬🎷🙏🏾🎸🤎💙 Hello, Dee. Your envelope arrived in the mail today. Many thanks for the lovely collection of PC's. I love them all. I especially appreciate the space and landscape themes. May joy and happiness follow you always. Cheerfully yours, Vita Lynné
Response: :D yay, you're very welcome. I am glad there were a few you liked.
Comment: I feel like our 2022 has had the same vibe so far. I totally get the appliances breaking down thing- we started our year with a pipe leaking from the master bedroom down into the kitchen! Glad there's been plenty of kitty antics to go along with it!
Response: I have had that happen too, except it was the kitchen into the basement. Ruined a lot of things downstairs and had to treat the floor. Just glad the basement wasn't finished
Comment: Thank you for the cute items and letter! You reminded me of things I need to add to my profile (Princess Bride and The Labyrinth, I haven't seen Fried Green Tomatoes so I'll have to add it to my "To Watch" list)! I also LOVE that your cats have coordinating names! Thanks for hosting and being my swap partner!
Response: I think you will love Fried Green Tomatoes. and yes; kitties try to live up to their names.
Comment: You and I have a different definition of a disappointing reading month! lol So I will say congratulations on reading 29 books! I, myself, read 3, which was an awesome month for me!
Good luck meeting your reading goal for March! I hope you will feel satisfied by all your reading this month! :-D
Response: I found a good series, that I have just devoured (one book left to it). Then it's onto the next hopeful find.
Comment: This was a fun swap, and I am so impressed by how many books you read this month! Thank you for the warnings away from the bad ones too.
Response: Colleen has converted me over to Storygraph because of the awesome graphs and tracking it does. I can't wait to give more details, and I can actually just stop reading and put books into the DNF category. As well as make notes and it's all saved for me.
January was definitely my better discovery month, here's hoping March comes out ahead.
Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for my letter! ♥ It's so sweet that you went to the trouble of reading through my profile so thoroughly, and I loved reading about your kitties and your faves (ahhh, now I want to ask who your favorite Ted Lasso character is). I absolutely gave the frenchies some love from you!
Response: I can't decide on Ted Lasso - or Roy Kent
Comment: Great job on your goal of 285 books! I don't concern myself with the # and like you, if the book can't suck me in with a few chapters, time to move on because there are so many great books out in the verse to get totally sucked into!
Aim for 290 again! Go big!!
Response: :D I am trying, I have dropped 4 books already this year that were just nopes, but I am also already at 10 read >.< hehehe
Comment: Thanks for sharing! I hope you're able to get home ok and aren't trapped by snow!
Response: We did make it!! Flight was delayed, but we got in, got groceries and made it home before the snow started up again. I am still very shocked that we managed to get up into the garage, considering our driveway is 35 degrees straight up.
Comment: Thank you for the nice note and the extra notecard and washi tape!! I haven't read any of the books on your list, but next time I'm looking for a good fantasy novel I'm going to pick up one of these!
Response: Yay. You're very welcome and I hope you come let me know what you think once you've read one.
Comment: Thank you for the post card and tape samples! I agree with you about Grandmas cooking. No one makes rolls like my grandma. I have moved across the country from where I grew up and the dairy does not taste the same here at all, so I can only get certain things when we travel back. But they seem to taste all the better :) Happy Holidays!
Response: :D I am glad you understood what I meant. I am glad you liked all the goodies. Happy Holidays.
Comment: Such a great goodie pack! No ace yet though!! Thank you so much!!
Response: I am glad you like your goodies, I know that ace is out there O_O I am getting ready to start my next hunt. But this time as poker hands. Just need to get the labels printed off for the cards.
Comment: Thank you for the letter. I enjoyed reading about the books and crocheting project. I can't wait for the new Matrix movie!! I've watched a couple of episodes of Sex Education. Lucifer has a new season so I'm watching that right now. I love the owl postcard thank you so much!
Response: I have so much catching up to do on netflix...we got a hulu and netflix gift card, so we of course started with hulu doh But that's ok soon there shall be netflix! and Sex Ed just I love it. Have you seen A Discovery of Witches?
Comment: Thank you so much Dee for all my goodies! :) and to answer your question my favorite swaps are ones where I get to create like flip-books and pocket letters! :)
Response: if I could draw better, flip books!! Pocket letters are harder. THOUGH I must say fall really is the best time for those - which means you just gave me an idea :D :D
Glad you like the goodies!
Comment: Thanks for your nice letter and the lovely little extra.
I'm not a cat person. Bad experiences as a youngster. I enjoy hearing about them though.
I don't pen-pal any more. Bad experiences... and partners tend to expect regularity. I want to write when I have something to write about. I do enjoy writing though. I have been writing my 'memoirs' for a couple years.
Response: I understand about the bad experiences; ironically I tend to have those mainly with ppl O_O
I think with growing up with dogs, and the nipping or flat out biting I just roll with it :D
'memoirs' sounds amazing, I have issues with time flow - what do you find the most challenging with writing them?
Comment: Thank you for a great swap! To answer your question…Armour hooks are not shaped the same…Susan Bates are sharper. I love them both. I love that you named your cats after the chipmunks!!!
Response: wait was this the resend for the lost one? or was this the lost one and waiting on the resend?
I am glad you enjoyed the swap. I found that crochet hooks I need to be able to actually keep my tension right have to be inline...and almost all of them but susan bates are tapered O_o who knew.
Chipmunks are the best kitty names ...cause aren't they always just following each other into trouble.
Comment: As always, a wonderful swap! Thank you for all the goodies, especially the taco card. I'm not sure if I could give that one up! SO perfectly charming! THANK you so much for brightening my day!
Response: That card cracked me up when I got it; I am glad it might go into your keep stash (my keep stash needs a new box, I am overflowing it now).
Comment: Oh my word, so very pleased with everything you sent! Of course the b&w PC is fabulous but the handmade tiny blue snowflake is absolutely precious. A zillion hearts winging their way to you.💕💕💕
Comment: Hi Dee,
Thank you so very much for sending me these fun and happy things!
I am especially enjoying the old 'Workbasket' pages. I used to look at those at the public library, they are sweetly nostalgic for me.
LOL. I think even organized sometimes some things are still a hoard.
Happiness and Peace to you,
Response: :D I am glad you liked that. I try to match everything to the person - so always makes me happy when it's a hit.
Comment: Thank you Dee!!! I especially love the fabric license plates. They will be used before the weekend is over. The happy cards are amazing. Recently, I misplaced all my stamps, so glad to have more. Dee, I appreciate you and your kindness
Comment: Thanks for all the goodies! Loved the frog stickers, and the cookie recipe. What a coincidence--I've been watching Bosch all this week. My car is a 1979 Fiat Spider convertible. I always wanted an Isetta, but when I finally had a chance to buy one, I was in the process of moving 1000 miles away. Ah well.
Comment: Hi Dee:-)
Thank you so much for sending smiles across the miles. It has been a tough year, I love the stuff you sent:-). 3 spring/st. pattys day ATC's, as I have very few in this catagory. I love the irishman. So much dimension and character. You did a wonderful job on these. Also, thank you for the blank ATC's to create with. Thank you for the halloween themed items. Hallowwen is my favorite time of year🎃👻. Thank you for the stickers as well. Have a safe and blessed New Year.
(sorry about the late rating. I have just started receiving mail from October last week). Minneapolis mail system has been a mess since the riots in May and August. Two of our main postal locations were looted and burnt down, completely
Comment: Thank you for the fun swap! I love seeing all the different Halloween stickers people find.
We had a fun Halloween (I had a glow in the dark candy hunt for my son). I make my stickers with printed vinyl and cut with my Cricut. I also do some paper but they tend to smudge. I will check out the Hidden Legacy series.
Comment: Hi! Thank you! I got your stuff in the mail today.
Everything you sent, I absolutely love! Especially the moon postcard. I love the moon 🌔🌕🌖
And very happy that we like a lot of the same things. Thank you again
Comment: Thank you so much for the letter sets and stickers! Have fun with your 3 fur babies, I feed my cats BFF canned food. I find it's the cheapest wet food that doesn't have chemicals and fillers. Plus, the packaging is so cute. Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter! I have not seen Bosch. I will look it up. I had a friend who had all of the Holiday Barbies and when she passed away her daughter just threw them all away. I was shocked! I would have taken them, but she said that she had always hated them and couldn't wait to get rid of them. I wish I had them. I know how beautiful your collection is.
Have a great day!
Comment: What a fun package! Thanks so much. My kids will be excited! They were just telling me how they want to swap stuff, too! lol Also, I love macadamia nut/white chocolate chip cookies and alllll kinds of books!! 😍 It isn't letting me click on the heart but I promise I'll come back and edit lol
Response: I need to find a better place for macadamia nuts, the ones at the grocery store are very expensive. I do enjoy those cookies though! Even more so then chocolate chip!
:D :D I hope the kids enjoy those, I know I am almost out of those and will be looking for more or similar items - cause I enjoyed them so much .
Comment: Ahh, holy guacamole. When you said you were having triplets, I was like "Wow, she must be ready to POP"; but nope, you're just getting kittens! I hope they're adjusting well to their new home!!
Response: I think so. Definitely been a few bumps.
Comment: Thank you for all of the goodies. You spoiled me:-). Thank you for the washi, handmade envelope, the sailor lady will make a fun ATC focal point:-). The teddy bear note/memo pages are so cute. I dont want to write on them, lol. The painted paper you sent is yummy! Cant wait to play:-). Thank you for your kind words regarding my losses. It has been tough, but I have a strong suport system. I hope you get to see your Grandma and Dad soon. This covid stuff has been so hard. Stay safe and stay well. I would be happy to swap an ATC with you anytime.:-). Best regards, Christie K.
Response: Hmm, I might have to wait a little bit for the ATC.. My creativity is just gone right now. Yes yes write on the teddy bears they are fun.
Comment: 11 week old kitten triplets?!?!! Would love to trade places with you :) :) :) (P.S, great card!)
Response: We are on day two, and it is 100% easier then having a dog. I can still get all of my swaps done and pen paling and only randomly stop to remove a kitten or just to sit back and give them attention because they came up to me and demanded it!
Comment: I enjoyed reading your letter, and thought it was such a cool coincidence that you wrote about a new puppy you were getting, while in my letter I also wrote about a new puppy I was getting! Except mine isn't a boxer, he's a teacup chihuahua called Frank. :) Thanks for the letter!
Response: Frank sounds like he would have gone over better here, the pup was more pit - bull then anything else she might have come from. AND proved it with her aggressive manners and nipping my side (not biting but left bruises) she was re-homed on the 11th...Exactly 11 Days later we have triplet brother Kittens that we have named - Alvin, Simon and Theodore (yes that was all my doing). They are fitting in 100% better in two days then the pup did toward the end of two weeks! Plus they are just adorable even if I am allergic to [email protected] eep
Comment: Hi Dee! Thank you for the nice letter and postcard. It took me awhile to figure out what swap it was for as I couldn't find your last name or the swap name on your letter. But, I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and solved the mystery! (I love mysteries by the way.) Thank you!
Response: My goodness I don't do that very often, I'm glad you figured it out!
I don't think I did it on purpose. Just happy coincidence that you love mysteries.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely chatty letter, Dee! It definitely brought a smile to my face, especially with all the awesome book recommendations (I can’t get enough). I’m sure with all this extra time indoors I will be responding very soon. :)
