Comment: Thank you SO MUCH for the beautiful mail art and ATC. I also thought the card with your mom was sweet, and I'm honored that she came all the way up to Wisconsin! What a perfect day for it to arrive; today would have been my grandma's 82nd birthday. Thank you again!
Comment: micah does love pop tarts and i know he will love this chunk.! we have never heard of the brand H-E-B and i love the spanish on it as well. thanks so much. funny thing is when i was pg with micah i could not eat strawberry anything or even think bout em. if i ate a fruit salad and they were in it, they were the only things that came back up. lol. way tmi sorry but i have always loved strawberries, but micah not so much. he loves the choc ones tho.thanks for cool chunk.<3
Response: H-E-B is a locally owned grocery chain with stores all across Texas and some in Mexico. I wish I had had a chocolate chunk for him!
Comment: OMG thank you Connie for the Wonderful ATCs from your stash - love them all (Halloween ones are going in my October Daily!!! :) and the rat one I just LOVE so much. thank you and I will send that cool post card on in the next swap. take care,
Comment: Yes, I got it! Thanks a lot for the nice extra's!!! Lovely tea, postal stamps à nd the fortune cookie fortunes (you collected them because you knew you were going to 'meet' me ;-) ) All very appreciated! <3 - Ellen ... BTW nice card too :-D
Comment: Thank you for the extra card! I had to look it up to see where it was in TX. I have only been to South Padre Island, besides a layover at the airport in Houston! I would like to see more of TX. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you very much for your beautiful letter - love the stationary and it's colours! :) And thank you for your lovely note, don't worry, it's totally understandable! And thanks for the cute Christmas stickers, they're nice detailed and colourful :) Dankeschön für deinen lieben Brief, das Briefpapier ist sehr hübsch und ich habe ihn gern gelesen :) Happy Holidays for you and your family!
Comment: Thank you for the delicious-looking chocolate-coated biscuit card, for sharing your ritual (mmm... I love tea time always), colorful washi, and the parol (Filipino star-shaped lantern) stamp that made me smile :) I will have to buy a Holiday Windows book ASAP. Hope you are having a good week! ♥
Comment: Oh my gosh - What an amazing story . and to think that 1803 book was almost tossed out. You should definitely add on to it and give it to someone in the family to continue the tradition. This is a treasure. I'm sending this letter, that you composed so well, with the lovely pictures, too, to my out-of-state sisters who walk together most every day... They will love to read it, too. Oh - and - that envelope is beyond belief - Wow. Thank you for a most fabulous send - and - Super thanks for joining my little swap. Have a lovely day.
Response: I'm glad you were well pleased with my part of your swap. I am especially honored that you think enough of it to share it with your sisters!
Comment: Oh, what's that? I'm supposed to wait until I actually receive the swap before I rate? WELL NOT THIS TIME. You get full marks for your cautionary message and the secret service guy that came to visit me this morning to interview me about your envelope. Extra heart because he was totally hot. **EDITED: Poor Howard Neal. We hardly knew ye. (Going into my permanent collection, it was awesome!)
Comment: If i could, I would give you 1000 â¤ï¸ The dia de los muertos envie, and the skulls are soooo beautiful! Lisette, Arturo, Pablo, Lazoro, Rosa and Marco wil get a fine home. Thank you do much Connie!
Response: I'm glad you like them! I had fun making them for you.
Comment: OK -- this was a double whammy! I have been to London -- in 1952! and I have been to San Antonio. We lived in Houston for a while years ago, and at that time I had family in Sequin and Schertz! Small world, isn't it? Happy swapping!
Response: Seguin and Schertz...that's my stomping grounds! It is a small world!
Comment: Thank you for your shoes! :) I'm no shoe person either. Sometimes my family ask if they shall give me money to buy new shoes, when the current ones are getting more and more "vintage". Thanks, but no thanks. :P
Comment: Thank you for the stunning close-up of the Gold Royal State Coach, pretty festive postage, and bon bon and porcelain fragment stickers, Connie! I love everything you listed -- they also all make me happy :) Hope you have a good weekend!
Comment: Hi, thank you for the upcycled card! The package design looks familiar--I think I may have bought something in that line years ago. I really like your sun rubber stamp--so cool!
Hope your trip to the PO after your time away yielded all kinds of happy mail coolness! Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you so much I love it. I had sure a bad day and you definitely made it much brighter. You put great big smile on my face. The only thing is now the tracking number and postage sticker is stuck on there. I'm try to figure out a way to get it off. thanks again I love my goggles
Comment: WOW!!! I can't believe these are all hand-carved stamps! They're AMAZING!!! You're extremely talented! I've made 2 rubber stamps of my own and they turned out... Less than I had hoped! Thank you for the wonderful ATC and the stamp set! You went above and beyond this swap and I thank you so much for that!!! :D
Comment: Connie you are one the best swaps I have EVER had! Your stamps are the VERY best! The extras are so sweet. What a kind person you are. Love, love the clear stamps. Message me if you would like to swap stamped images privately.
Response: Thank you for such sweet compliments! I'm so glad you liked what I sent!
Comment: Sorry for the late rating - I got this swap confused with another one and I accidentally rated her! Anyway, thank you so much for the wonderful booklet. It arrived a little over a week ago, and I was so excited to get it. :)
Comment: Thank you for your list. It was fun reading them. Growing up we actually did have a small flock of chickens. Just 5 or 6. They were so tame you could pick them up and pet them. Sadly, one by one, they were offed by neighbor cats. :(
Comment: Hi, thank you for the lovely postcard. It is alright, this swap is meant for fun like what the host has said and perhaps to know more about another country. Hmm...east of India not West, and you are right, it is warm here with an average temperature of 33°C all year round. Lots of water and beaches? It depends. Certain states have a lot beaches while some do not have at all. Two tall skyscrapers? Yup, Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed looking at your pictures, and I'm excited about the parrot card! I don't have a meat cleaver on my craft desk, but I do have a little paring knife that looks like a shark which I use to cut down my rubber stamps!! Have fun making ATCs with your 4th graders :)
Comment: Just got this one today, they ended up putting it in a plastic baggie when it hit Canada to protect it. So adorable, you put a lot of work into this one - I'm going to have to post a picture of it on my Flickr :). Thank you so much! I'm shocked they made you put a declaration label on it! What's there to declare :P It's pretty visible!!
Response: I'm glad you like it. It was too thick to go through as a regular postcard, so it had to travel as a parcel. Happens to me a lot ...
Comment: Hi Connie! Thanks for your postcard! My dad drinks Corona with a lime. I'm not a beer drinker, but my boys keep me in cartons for swapping! How funny that you got snow! Not really beer weather, but fun! Take care, Karen
Comment: I love the kitchen your hubby surprised you with and your own chef, too! I guess I'll just be settling for TV dinners in the new year. Don't you feel sorry for me? : ) Thank you for playing along in the BFL.
Comment: Thank you SO much, Corazon! I love the Grim Reaper stamp--he is so cool, it almost looks like he has shades on--and the skull stamp is very atmospheric, a definite addition to the dark items I use in all kinds of crafts. Since I'm a newbie to carving, I'd like to ask: what is the material, the orange stuff you carved them from? It looks more stable than the Staedtler rubber I bought, which crumbles very easily.
Comment: The postcard you created turned out great! I like the cut you did which created the triangular pieces. I was just in Texas in early June. There were so many wonderful and unexpected things I enjoyed seeing in Texas - particularly the wildlife, flowers, and cacti.
Comment: I think I do enjoy this selection from your reject pile more than you - they were very exotic to me. :) But they made me feel bad because the ones I sent my partners I think were *truly* hideous. ;) Thanks for yours!
Comment: I know this was suppose to be bad cards, BUT I LOVE THEM!! ESP the amish pcs. We are suppose ot be movingto Jamesport, MO this next year (an amish town). Andthe one with a fish on it cracksm e up, becuase I JUST listed lastnight on my group swap "Any kind of fish pc swap. How funny is that?
Response: One man's trash is another man's treasure!
Comment: Armadillo!! I want to see one up close one day, they just look so neat--even if they do plunder gardens. Your haiku is wonderful, well crafted and lovely. I may have to put this one on the bulletin board, too. Thank you!
Comment: Thankyou for the marvellous chicken ATC, the atful envie and the extra papers. A special thankyou for the ATC in honour of your Mother, thankyou for sharing this one with me, I will treasure it always.
