Comment: Such an inspiring quote! I appreciate it, esp during these past few months. Been quite a ride. I'm sure your bracelet is lovely..I wear a crystal that reminds me to be strong and boost my self esteem! A wonderful way to live each day, thank you.
Comment: Thank you Donna, for the PC of a Chipmunk in a field of flowers and your playlist. I have heard of all the songs you put down and my favorites out of them are: Summer Long- Kid Rock, Red Red Wine- UB40, and Pour Some Sugar on me- Def Leppard.
Comment: Thank you for the Van Gogh postcard… I saw the painting as it toured through L A. and yes, a great song you wrote about! It’s tough to think about- the subject matter. I love country music though! Thanks for swapping
Comment: Hi Donna, thank you so much for the beautiful lighthouse postcard! I’ve never been to any in South Carolina! If you like lighthouses with ghost stories, you should definitely visit the St. Augustine, Florida lighthouse if you haven’t yet. I’ve been many, many times. It’s pretty amazing and yes it’s haunted lol! Ghost Hunters even went there twice! Thanks again, take care!
Comment: Thank you so much for this cute postcard and note <3 I'm hanging it up right now because I need some motivation to get my craft space cleaned up. I also noticed the date in the swap and had to double-check my calendar haha! Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you, Donna, for your postcard. I think it's OK if you haven't been reading lately. I was the same way for the entirety of this pandemic. It wasn't until I started a new job where I had to commute (public transit) did I start reading physical books. Part of me held an unspoken guilt but I realized my habit of binge-watching shows or reading ebooks/audiobooks were more about comforting mild anxiety about everything and how my routine is structured. I sincerely believe it will come back. For now, just be gentle with yourself. You're doing the best you can within the situation we're all in. Anyway, happy new year! =)
Comment: I agree - I would love to visit the rain forests in Hawaii. I want to visit Pearl Harbor as well. I love history. It boggles my mind to stand in places and think about who stood there before me. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Ha ha! Yeah- it’s a pretty fishing fly, but it doesn’t merit it’s own postcard. Funny story- when my husband was little, he reached into his sock drawer and somehow a fish hook had gotten in there and when he pulled his hand out, he had the hook stick in his hand, along with a pair of his underwear hanging from it. His Mom and Grandma tried not to laugh when they saw it! Happy New Year!
Comment: Donna, Thank you very much, for the rabbits postcard! It is so cute & so cool! Love bugged out eyes, lol ! Like you, We have woods out back of our house, here on the mountain. We are always hearing deer snorting late at night. Love it! Or, we see the Raccoon out in the trees.
Comment: Thank you for the PC. Hope you're enjoying the fall weather still and haven't had to fire up the wood stove. We had a little rain today, and expect LOTS more rain in the next couple days. We usually have a lot of flooding and landslides when there is a heavy rain. The ground is so dry, I can't absorb the rain quickly.
Comment: Thank you Donna, for the cute Flamingo PC and your list. I like accessories too. Like you, I like hair scrunchies. I also like plastic hair bands as well. As barrettes, I can't wear them, as my hair way too thin, from having so much Chemo & Radiation.
Comment: Your postcard got me all smiling, it's so cute and it has desserts on it! Thank you so much! Your message or me hungry with the talks of white bread crusts and cookies and brownies! Hahah. I love crusts too!! They are amazing even if just on their own!!
Comment: Thanks for the bouquet of flowers and sharing about the spiciest thing you have eaten. I've never experienced hiccups from something spicy. I also like spicy foods. But they don't always like me :(

Comment: Hi! Thank you for the vintage ad style postcard! I came across vintage ad posters for sale, but since I was on vacation, I was worried it'd get damaged on the way back home. They don't have an online store.Oh and thanks for sharing that quote. It's cute!

Comment: I like the postcard you sent. It looks very precious. Your right snail mail is becoming a lost art. I have often thought that even the people that do write have forgotten so much about making a good letter. Doris
Comment: Love your list! I keep sanitizer in the car, we've never stopped masking or sanitizing. I also have an umbrella, but, like you, never use it! Didn't even think of putting on the list!! Thanks for sharing your car with me.... do you think we qualify for the carpool lane in CA now??? Lol 😉
Comment: I did not take it out of context! Takin care of our elder parents is taxing & so hard to watch our loved ones deteriorate my mom has Parkinson’s and my dad takes care of her 100% and my Fil loved w/ us for a cpl years after my mil died and he tried us often. Now living on his own he is falling more often. It’s very hard to take care of our parents

Comment: Thank you for the postcard, if you'd like I could come and paint a mural on a parking spot for you! My workplace begins when I walk in/clock in,,,aannndd BOOM there it is!!LOL...lots of deep breathing and meds.haha Love your attitude!!
Comment: Oh yes the infamous parking spot squabbles. We have an older lady who drives like nascar who parks in our row who loves to hit other people's cars and deny she did it (until they finally put up cameras and caught her- haha). Thanks for joining this swap!
Comment: I am not sure what they are doing either. It looks like blown glass. So maybe they are just letting it cool. I see some poles that look like the ones they use for blowing.
Thanks for the interesting pc.
Comment: Thanks Donna! I totally agree with all your movie choices. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is one of my favorites too. I love seeing how history might’ve drastically changed with just a few turns of events!
Comment: Oh, I also have too many socks!!! I wish I could find some to wear with my Hey Dudes that don't end up slipping off my heel. And it's only my right heel. Thanks for the Great River Road postcard.
Comment: Hi Donna,
Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) would be an awesome person to have a cup of coffee with. I agree with you, she's an amazing person and I love how she carries herself with so much confidence. I miss watching Friends. I loved watching It on Netflix. Have a wonderful day!

Comment: Thanks Donna! I totally agree with what you're saying! I feel like I'm sending each person a little joy and I feel the same way when I open my mailbox. It's just something little that can help people feel connected to a bigger community.
Comment: Hi Donna, thank you for this beautiful card, and for sharing your new year goal. I appreciate how the dunkin donuts giftcard can be healthy goals quite challenging (but it certainly can not go to waste!). Love the quote you used :)
Comment: Thank you so much for my PC. I've actually been to Inner Harbor @ Baltimore and when all the craziness of covid goes away, I highly recommend you go - the food alone is worth the trip. xx MuggleMom

Comment: Well i hate to say it but i not fan either. Lol i have children in art or something like that i send for these lol. But on the bright side i found the dog the favors my daughter's dog on the card. It will still go in my collection.
Comment: I am with you - this September I had to completely overhaul how I eat and it has been an adventure but also a struggle. I hope you find things to motivate you and that you are kind to yourself as you work towards your goals!
Comment: Great chunk! Fatwood seems so neat. There isn't much need for wood stoves in the Arizona desert, but I've always wanted to try it for a campfire starter. Thank you so much for sending it over!
Comment: Hi Donna! Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard! ;v; I love postcards as well - they're little mail gems that can brighten up anyone's day for under 50 cents! ;v; Hope you're doing well!!!
Comment: I love the card. The cat looks like Nicholas von Purdy Cat, that lived to be 17. He was regal and special. He looked wise. A good deed to buy your pumpkin to give you pleasure and the animals too. I saw a picture of my stepdaughter's grandson sitting in a pumpkin with his legs sticking out through two round holes.
Comment: Thank you Donna for the cute Halloween card with black on a broom & your very nice sharing your daughter Halloween plans for pumpkin carving. That's so sweet! I don't carve the pumpkins I get, I draw faces on them instead. As I use the pumpkins afterwards for pies & cookies.
Comment: This got damaged in the mail and only the bottom 2/3rds arrived in a USPS "body envelope". However, I can figure out most of the message :-). I totally agree that working as a tour guide in a historic mansion would be awesome! I love visiting these, too. I wonder if you mentioned a specific house close to you; the best tour I've been on was the completely empty Montpellier (James Madison's home).
Comment: Donna, thank you so much for the thoughtful postcard. I really appreciate you sharing your memory of the Province Lands Trail bike ride with your daughter. Bikes are very special to me and I really like to hear how others enjoy riding them. I wish you the very best.
Comment: HAPPY HALLOWEEN IN SEPTEMBER 🎃 thank you for cute card of the black cat saying boo! I’m so excited for Halloween! I’m also hoping to get lots of Halloween cards this year. Yes, I love the Witcher! I’ve rewatched it so many times and I watched all the next Witcher documentaries Netflix recently released, have you seen them? I’m excited for the next season, Although I am a bit disappointed that it keeps getting pushed back (ugh covid) 😩 we should do some Witcher swaps while we wait !! I’ll just have to think of some... Comment: Dear Donna,
thank you so much for your mail. I love how Zelda Mae and you found each other! I am also a big supporter of "adopt don`t shop", but since I am extremly allergic to most all cat breeds I had to get mine from a breeder so I can enjoy having cats without dying :D
Thank you again for this lovely mail! Lots of love, Julia
Comment: My favorite Disney movie is The Princess and The Frog. One reason for loving it is the soundtrack. I’m a sucker for a good singalong. As well as how Tiana is a hard working women who don’t need no man. But still finds love along the way.
Comment: I did not know that about Miranda Lambert. That's amazing! I also love to support animal rescues... That's where I got my fur baby, Lady who I've had since 2016. I have not regretted a minute of it!
Comment: Thank you for the cute card! It took until Sunday afternoon for power to come back - I know have very strong feelings about Eversource, PURA, and why many of them deserve to be fined into financial ruin. I hope yours came back before Tuesday!
Comment: Hi Donna,
Thank you for the awesome windmill PC. I hope you are safe with the tropical storms blowing through. Five plus days with no power, I cannot imagine that many days. Do you have a generator? Stay safe and have a good day:-)
Comment: Oh I loved the Nancy Drew books when I was younger. And I loved the TV show too. I had all of the vintage yellow ones :( They were lost a couple of years ago in an unfortunate storage issue. I had hoped to give them to my daughter but she's not really into reading
Comment: OMG, You're so right, the pig with helmet is uglier than ugly! Yup, It is from Star Wars movies. Which I love! But I love the older ones. Not so much the newer ones. Thank you for this PC. And, heck no, there isn't anything at all to redeem about on this PC, lol !

Comment: Thank you for the sweet meerkat PC. I enjoyed watching them last year when I visited Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, CO last year. I want to visit again after everythng settles down and it is safe to travel again.
Comment: Thank you for the excerpt. It looks like just the thing I'd pick up! If you enjoy psychological thrillers, "Wherever She Goes" by Kelley Armstrong is a great read. There is a missing child in it, too, but the mystery surrounding it makes a compelling read. It's very well written. It kept me reading long after I should have been asleep. Thank your daughter for the bookmark! It's perfect for me! ❤
Comment: Thank you for the cute postcard. Love your answers I agree 100%, earwigs are gross. They would freak me out when we lived in Wisconsin. Eiffel Tower, nice choice....enjoy...don't forget to wear your emerald earrings.
Comment: Your card arrived today! I loved that it was all cats, thankyou, that really made me smile! I hope things are continuing to go well for both yourself and your mother - having oldies to care for can be worrying. Take care and all the best, Tracy.
Comment: Such a lovely PC you sent! I understand how it's hard to leave the past alone when we have questions. Ask yourself how your life would be impacted if you knew the answers. And then get used to the sound of your feet walking away from things that were never meant for you anyway. You're special and amazing!
Comment: Thank you soo much ! Actually my Aunt and Uncle went to Petra and Jordan in December. It is a rare country. They Only found postcards at this little shop In Petra. I wonder if yours is the From the same One

sorry i am late on rateing:-/
(up until recently, I have been out of town caring for my mom post stroke).
Comment: I can see why you did not like this card. The flowers are arranged in a way that they actually look like sea creatures, or maybe snakes?? Either way you are right, the effect is unsettling. Well done for this Ugly PC swap.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard... very pretty tiger lily! Great answer! You are right, it is nice to be able to be in the moment without the distraction of a buzzing or beeping device. It's funny, I would have no trouble giving up my cell phone ;*) LOL
Comment: Thanks for the lol PC! :) I almost put eels on my list, too. I had to dissect a lamprey eel in a college bio lab. Yeah, they're gross. Thanks for the laughs at a time when we all need them!! Take care!

Comment: Thank you Donna, for the cute bird houses PC and your lovely note.Like you, I am worried for my mom. She lives 15 miles away & we aren't allowed to travel beyond our town. As we are on lockdown here in PA. and it stinks! But I make sure I call her every day. I wish she had video, so I could talk to her & see her face. But I can't afford to get her video camera, frown. Well, You take care & I will keep you all in my prayers.

Comment: (sorry for the late rating!)
Your bucket list is so lovely! A lot of travel on there, I might have to add a few to mine own.
I do have a tattoo, It was on my bucket list as well and let me tell you once you get one you're not gonna want to stop. I now have seven!

Comment: Donna thanks so much for the lighthouse pc. I love that it's an old one. Thank you. I am an extrovert. I have never met a stranger and love to be around people. I have an infectious personality and tell people you'll either love me or hate me. Some can tolerate and some can't stand me. Lol. I love love people!!!! And I get introverts I try letting people have space after I read em. --min

Comment: thank you for the beautiful peaches postcard and I enjoyed your answers; your Positano, Italy answer immediately made me think of one of my favorite movies “Under the Tuscan sun.” Diane Lane stars in it and at one point falls in love in Positano. If you haven’t seen it I think you’d love watching the movie. It’s based on the real life memoirs of Frances Mayes who bought a dilapidated villa in Tuscany on a whim and restored it and her life at the time after a bad divorcé...anyhoo lol sorry for the ramble. Great swap! Thank you!!!
Response: So glad you liked the pc! Visiting the Amalfi Coast is my dream trip! I'll have to check out the movie you mentioned, sounds like a good one for a girls' nite! (Wine included!)
Comment: Cute, cute, cute black cat! I love black cats too but have never had one that was completely black. So far tuxedos are as close as I've gotten. My next one may just have to be completely black! Love the jokes, the "boos" one made me laugh the loudest! Thank you!

Comment: Love the card and Alastor is a beautiful baby! My vet has a whole passel of black kittens right now and I'd get one but my sick baby would be too stressed so I have to put adopting off until later! But I do get to go over there and pet them lots & lots! Thank you and kisses to Alastor from Shakespeare, who is only partially black!
Comment: You are too funny! Appreciate the thought! The PC you sent may actually be a good sub for a kitty card because there is a book series where cats develop a "mental telepathy bond" with their human and they get matching pierced earrings to show they are bonded! So there you have it! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. I love country music. My favorite country artist today is Chris Stapleton. I got to see him live about a year ago and I had front row. I love old timey sounding country music the best because that is what I remember listening to all of the time with my father growing up.
Comment: Hi Donna thank you for the Cormorant bird PC,. Where did the time go? I had myself a beach day on Tuesday and will try to get another before(sigh) Fall. BC had the sun but there were many smoky days due to the forest fires this year. So far less beach time :( peace love light
Comment: Hi Donna thank you for the beautiful PC "Branta and the Golden Stone", I really like it. I'm like you, I like to be near the water and go to the beach every chance I can...lots of forest fires in BC now, over 600...most caused from lightening ...we've had a few days of smoky skies and orange red sun but today there was some blue sky :) peace love light

Comment: Thank you for the interesting card. I actually heard that phrase :Down East" on Murder She Wrote not too long ago. Hope your heat wave is over. Was cooler here today but we got just enough rain to make it very muggy. Not as much as we need as I have cracks in the flower bed that it hasn't helped.
Comment: Ha Ha! You don't know what you're missing! This is my life every day! We have areas in Dallas that have "rush hour" traffic from 5am-10pm with no respite at all, those highways I avoid at all costs! Thank you!
Comment: Hi Donna! Thanks for the great chunk - yes, the heat has been terrible this summer already - yikes! We were in Michigan over the weekend and the temps were in the 80's, love it! Yes, the beach on a hot day sounds amazing! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hello Zelda Mae and Mrs Belladonna, my fluffball and me enjoyed your letter very much. Zelda Mae sounds just like mine with not liking being picked up, awww <3 Thanks so much for a letter that is unforgettable (I mean, who gets a letter for their cat? Such a cool idea!).
Comment: Thank you so much for this swap!!! I had a lilac Siamese growing up, and I loved him so - those eyes! And I agree 110% that dietary restrictions, no matter what they may be, are difficult!! I try to give one thing up every month... pizza month is probably the hardest!!
Comment: A heart to you, for the weirdest postcard :) Indeed, very odd. I like the girls claws, its like me when I get my nails done at the salon! Crabs molt to grow, so the inside of the crab is older than the outside. Pretty cool. I have 2x marine crabs as pets and they molt all the time. Happy Swappin'
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful avocado postcard! I love avocados! A scarmage is what I had when I took my cat out of his crate at the vet’s office today. But I won the slight contest:) Ha! Happy Swapping
Comment: Thank you so much! I love the PC and the information you sent on the barn quilt trail. When my father was growing up my family owned a dairy in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I'm not sure how or why they quit that business. They were photographers all my life.
Comment: Thank you for the Arlo Postcard. He is one of my favorite performers. I have never seen him live. That would be amazing. Also I looked up the song and listened to it. It was beautiful and made me cry.
Comment: Great Chunk!! I am a Gabrielle but a Gabi for short ;) Gabi is the European spelling - my family are Scottish and Dutch ;)!
we had a big wind storm last night--all's well here but our neighbor lost 2 big pine trees!
HUGs and happy weekend!!
Comment: I tend to use too many hearts in my ratings I think. Is that possible? When I get something super fun like your washi-tape "envelope" postcard, I feel like I should give 2 or 3 hearts, but I only have one. I loved your card, including the pretty blue and green Sour Monkey box. I'm off now to go google Sour Monkey "Sour, Brettanomyces Tripel" cuz whaaaat does that mean?
Response: I am so glad you liked what I sent - this is such a fun swap and it gives me an opportunity to get a little creative. Thanks for hosting it and for the awesome rating too! Did you find out what Sour Monkey is? :)
Comment: I am soooooo with you about being done with winter, spring can arrive any time now. It seems like we are just getting all our snow now as we got dumped the beginning of February and it’s not going away and neither is the cold. Ugh, I’m ready to see some leaf buds on trees and any other color then white!!!!!
Comment: Howdy! Thanks for the big chunk! We have been cold here, too, in MN. I left for AZ on a -11F morning. Usually that's not cold enough to phase our cars, but I still cross my fingers until I know for sure! I will have to google your ice dam - didn't hear about that one!
Comment: Thanks for the PC! I have actually just been thinking about making my own fairy garden this spring, so your card was perfect!
Response: I'm happy you liked the postcard! Sometimes you just never know with the free/ad cards. I've seen so many cute ideas for fairy gardens - on top of old stumps, in wheelbarrows, in shadow boxes suspended from trees... the ideas are endless! Would love to know how you make out it you do one! :)
Comment: Such a unique postcard. I'm intrigued by the book you're reading though probably not kindly to read it. I might live under a rock cuz I haven't heard of the famous fairy photos... Lol. I'm going to look it up now.
Comment: That is funny you and I are opposite. I am chronically early. I am NEVER late I will be an hour early before I am a second late to anything haha! I think its anxiety, I have had issues with being late since I was a child odd how that can develop. Both my parents were always chronically late though lol!
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful Brooklyn Brisge postcard! Hope the cold weather has let up a bit for you, but if not, hunker down with movies, books, and cookies, and ride it out from under lots of comfy blankets! Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. I receive these cards too and think they're so cute. So glad to see this swap because the charity cards are often so beautiful. Would be a shame not to use them. Thanks again.
Comment: Thanks for the cardboard. I like the border you put on the back; I might try something like that next time. We got a SodaStream to make sparkling water several years ago; it saves us quite a bit of money.
Comment: Thank you Donna for such a lovely surprise as I went for a walk on Friday evening and part of that walk was to my mailbox and points around town. It was a lovely breath of fresh air to receive your lovely card and letter. I throughly enjoyed reading about your life over a weekend and your sharing with me made me feel as a real human feels, connected! It was a gift you shared with me by being yourself. I truly appreciate it! You will hear from me! Thanks for the recipe that you shared with me. I’ll let you know how it all turns out. I’m sure it will be yummy!
Comment: Thank you for the great dog card. Annabelle got her first gift today in a way. Dillons which is the store I go to has Friday freebys with a free coupon every friday. Well today was Temptations cat treats. So I got Annabelle a bag of her favorite.
Comment: You and I have some of the same things in our purse, which makes sense to me. What was really odd was that the other partner I had for this didn't have any common items listed within her purse. Fancy that :)
Comment: Hi BellaD!! Thank you So funny both my Kids live in Brooklyn now I am from NJ they were all born in FL Now I'm in FL and they are up north. LOVE the cute I <3 NYI feel so connected to the people that send me these things that are so significant in my life I hope we cross paths again. I agree fall up north is unbeatable (and winter is Florida follows suit!) :-) Thanks again!
Comment: I am very excited to try these - the cherries sound delicious, and I think our Thanksgivings may have been missing cornbread! I am also a New Englander and my must-have is the whole-berry cranberry sauce.
Comment: Donna, Alastor and Zelda - Thank you so much for your letter and snacks! Mom gives me snacks every morning before she leaves for work, in a toy where I have to get them out in order to eat them because if she did not do that, I would swallow them whole! Meow, Mr. Carter
Response: We are very happy you enjoyed the letter and the treats! The kitties think it's fun when they get mail too :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard. Love the views. You can have Jon Snow... Grey Worm is my husband!! >.< Cooking stresses me out too! I just signed up for Blue Apron a few weeks ago and it's actually been something i've really enjoyed... it takes so much of the stress out of cookie. Thank you again!
Response: I'm so glad you like the postcard and I hope you're enjoying Labor Day weekend! I'm trying to get caught up on this season's GoT :)
Comment: Great card! I always wanted to go to Atlantic City! I grew up in Massachusetts and love the east coast beaches! It's funny that you sent your card from Connecticut because I sent a Connecticut postcard for this swap! Lol! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for the smile!
