Comment: I'm having to make everything from scratch now, I find I'm allergic to dairy. You would not believe how many things have some type of dairy in them. Like whey protein is in everything. So, I mostly have a hamburger when I want to be fast, with a side salad and potatoes or beans. I never thought I'd be eating relatively healthy.
Response: Glad you at least found the upside to the situation!
Comment: How clever you did your envie - I love the paisley washi! Yes, I agree with you about the monument postcard - 130yrs was enough, time to refresh the view. More trees would be my idea- we need them more than concrete possibly! And thank you for the NASA landing PC. I hope you get to London real soon also!!! xxMuggleMom
Comment: Thank you for the very, very, very weird pc. Why would anyone even think of putting that on a pc. And yes, thinking of it as an animal eye erases the thought of it being someone's mouth! I think you win the award for the weirdest pc I've ever received! :)
Response: I’m so glad! I was worried he might be a little too mainstream for your esoteric tastes.
BTW, I saw that Paul Theroux’s book Mosquito Coast is being made into a series. His nephew, Justin Theroux (yes, that Justin Theroux), has something to do with it.
Comment: Super odd and gross card!! I definitely think it's a mouth with hair coming out of it and that is just nasty!!! Great card for this swap. I have seen the Sound of Metal. I liked it. I liked the fish stamp on the card too! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for the ATC. I like your thought process for the ATC.
I chuckled a little when I read your note. Sometimes when creating we can spend too much time thinking about or overthinking the process. However, that also means that we’re not trying to just throw something together to say we’re done with it. Sometimes I start with one idea and by the time I’m finished with it, the product has evolved into something different. We just have to let our creative juices flow and work until we are satisfied with it.
Take care! 🤗
Comment: What a fabulous taco-bacon-pizza-ice cream-kitty flying through space card! And with a cat postage stamp, too. Thank you so much. (And no, I don´t know Rachael, I´m just an original member because I signed up on Swap-bot when it first started. I think a lot of us came over from a super awesome site called nervousness.org that went defunct.)
Response: Glad you enjoyed it! Interesting about nervousness.org
Comment: I loved looking at your pretty photos and reading all you shared. The stuff about TJ's flowers was very interesting, and your crepe myrtle story reminds me of my neighbor's tree that I caught showering the yard with beautiful pink "rain"! Thank you for sharing.
Comment: Nancy, I have never heard of crepe myrtles. They are gorgeous!!! I can just picture what you described with the pink petals flying all around you and your husband.
What cool history about the gardens at Monticello! It's sad that they were not cared for to keep them beautiful.
Forget-me-nots sure are delicate. Very nice blue.
Thank you for sharing your photos.
Comment: Thanks for the swap. sorry the rating is so late, I just discovered all three of the emails for this swap in my spam folder. That is something that hasn't happened before so I don't tend to check it often.
Comment: I grew up watching The Flintstones (cartoon) and loved the movie! I thought the casting was perfect! Some time last year, there was an outdoor movie night at the theme park in Brunei. Brought my daughter too. The movie they played was The Flintstones and my 4 yr old daughter absolutely loved it. :)
Comment: Love the card and love your words! Thank you so much for sharing a Hitchcock card with me. Of course I know "It's a Wonderful World"... I watch it every year (while sobbing)... and I love you for telling me you've just watched "Let the Right One In" - it's a fantastic movie and I've read John Ajvide Lindqvist's books! Glad you enjoyed it! I had fun creating it.
Comment: I loved reading about/seeing your boys. I love how totally different their personalities are. Haha. My two, though not brothers, are similar in that one is very loungy and is a sweet little cuddlebug. The other is a demanding diva. Haha. He doesn't lounge, he claims the dog's bed.
