Comment: The cards you sent me are wonderful! The Sun Mountain Lidge pc will go straight to my own collection. The notecard is so beautiful! Very well done by your son in law. Hope you had a nice Mother's Day! Thank you so so much for everything! For the extras, too!
Comment: Thank you for 2 p/c's and 3 note cards. Your note was great to read. I agree, at times its overwhelming (signing up for too many at a time). But I surely am addicted!!!!! My stress relief though. Congrats on the upcoming arrival of a daughter in law. Enjoy the wedding in Sept. Thanks for a lovely swap.
Comment: Thank you for the fun Jackalope card! They crack me up! so funny!!
Hope you are doing well! I was surprised to find this card and another from February in my box today! I wonder where the two cards have been traveling all these weeks! xx Gabi
Response: I often wonder if the cards choose to visit someone else for awhile before moving on. :)
Comment: Well Hello Doris and thank you so much, for the cute & funny Easter card with such a nice sentiment and the 2 non-tourist postcards! I so love them! Especially the Mata Hari Postcard. I have never seen a PC with her on it and it's a keeper! I hope you & your daughter had a real nice time, at the Thespian festival. I bet that was interesting. I've never been to one. Around the Bradford county, PA area, they don't such things. But I do love Thespian! Thank you so much too, for joining my swap. I appreciate it more than you know. Take care and I hope you & your family have a wonderful & fun Happy Easter!
Comment: Hell Doris! Thank you for the nice note and the washi samples. I hope you had a nice time at your daughters play, I love Mama Mia! The weather here is still cool, today's high is only in the 40's.
Comment: thank you for the b/w eye... so fun, reminds me of when my granddaughter was 3 and she would take my camera or phone and take really close up pictures of her eyeball and she knew it freaked me out LOL thanks for the memory of that. 3/6
Response: Nice to have given you a memory as well. Have a great day
Comment: Thank you Doris for the nice postcard! I have been shopping for a green top to wear. I don't think I have one. I will probably not cook corned beef as we just had it last week with carrots and cabbage (yummy, all of it!) I may do a fun green jello dessert. Happy St Pat's and Happy Swaps!
Response: Turns out we will be on an airplane on the green day. I better find my scarf
Comment: Hi Doris, I do believe that this is the first time I've had you for a swap partner. It's nice to meet you! Thanks so much for the postcard you sent of the bridge close to your home ... it looks like a LONG one, for sure. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for joining my swap. 🌹🌹🌹
Comment: Hello Doris! What a pleasure to meet you via your lovely PC of the St. John's Bridge in Portland, Oregon. There are no bridges in my collection ... which is why I appreciate the card you chose for me. Here's wishing you all the best today and always. Warmly, Vita Lynné
Comment: Hi Doris! Received your Cow PC today. Now that's funny, I send you a cow PC and get one back, ha!😃 Thanks so much for it and I love it! You & me both waiting on Spring weather to arrive! Like you, I'm not cold weather person either! And, right now we are in our Cold Snap month, which runs into the first week if February. In the single digits during day & below 0 at night. Hate it! Well, I hope you have a great rest of your day!
Comment: Thank you for the pc from Florence Oregon! I'd totally love to see that lovely little town!!
hoping 2022 brings us all respite from Covid so we can all get back to doing things we love!
Comment: Hey there Doris! Received your Art PC today and thank you for it! I really love snowy scene on it! So pretty! It looks as cold as it feels here. It got down to 21 degrees last night, b-r-r-r! It's 12:44 PM now & it's only just reached 37 degrees. Still too cold for me, ha!🥶
Comment: Thanks for the great swap, cool photo card & all the extras. Very kind of you!
On thanksgiving morning we’ll do a ‘turkey trot’ charity jog & then dinner at my parents. Totally cool you can do Saturday with everyone! Thanks again & best wishes to you!
Comment: Hi there! Thanks for the PC, it was definitely ugly lol!! I enjoyed the bright colour a lot though. It was a cheerful ugly which is perfect:) This swap is probably one of my all-time favourites, maybe tied with the Cardboard PC swap (make a PC using recycled cardboard from packaging). I always have to wonder how ugly postcards come into being, like who exactly designs some of the truly hideous postcards and what was their intent?? I wish I was a postcard designer! Hope you are well:)
Comment: How did you know that I would love Peanut stickers?! I loved them! Put a smile on my face just looking at the envelope. Thanks for such a festive Happy Mail!
EDIT: I just got your second card! Funny story, I too forgot answer the questions on two of my cards and ended up putting them on the back of the envelope! Thank you for the second card though! I loved it just as much as the first and have never seen a foldable magnetic bookmark like that. I Iove it!
Comment: Adorable mail, thank you so much! Your words are very sweet and caring and the swap definitely made me smile. Thank you for the extras! As an aside, your handwriting looks so similar to my grandmother's so that was comforting as well :) Have a lovely Thanksgiving!
Comment: What a beautiful piece of art, is it your work?
I'm actually hosting Thanksgiving this year due to unavoidable family circumstances 🤪 I'm working on letting go of all expectations and just enjoying time with family. I hope that you have a wonderful holiday. Thanks again!
Comment: Hi Doris, I hope you had a fun day with the kiddos! I'm jealous because my daughter does not yet like to sleep in (she's 7). I'm looking forward to the day I can get some extra zzzz's. Thank you for the pretty holiday stickers, I like them very much. Take care.
Comment: Thanks for the fun card! I've never been to Mexico, but it seems like a cool place to visit. I bet they have some great museums and I'd like to see places like Chichen Itza.
Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Thank you for the PC's and hope it doesn't get too wild and crazy with the wind! We have parts of Western Utah that get gusts up to 100 mph sometimes. They have installed yellow flashing light warnings for the truckers when the gusts get too strong. They need to pull their rigs over in a safe place as soon as possible. Many times they have been blown over!
Comment: Thank you for the card and extras. Great swap because I've got lots of these thinking of you cards. Congratulations on your retirement. I love it. I miss some of the people but it's so wonderful to sleep as late as I want to !!!!!! Thanks again.
Comment: Hello, Doris. I received your postcard, and I have to say -- I don't think that it's ugly at all! I found the pattern rather soothing. LOL! Beauty (or ugly) is in the beholder's eye.
I hope that you have a lovely autumn as well.
Comment: Received your swap today. Thank you so much, for having joined my swap and for the so funny Halloween card, of a lady dressed up as a devil! I love what was written about Christmas shopping being & her saying Horrifying isn't it? I cracked up big time, lol ! Thank you, I love it and the Halloween goodies you included! I think I'll make a card with them.
Comment: Dear Doris, thank you very much for your wonderful Notecard! I wish you all the best for your home! I am sure you will find the perfect one for your taste! Really beautiful butterflies, and the pink pen with which you wrote the text! A big hug, Chiara
Comment: Sewing: I made a LOT of masks. My unfinished project is quilting on the front of sweatshirts. My machine is from 1956 and on it's last legs. I'm thinking of getting a inexpensive one just for small projects and hemming pants. I'm pretty short so I have to alter things. Thanks for sharing our common interests. 🧡
Comment: I do not have any pc from New Orleans so thanks so much! I love this one especially with the street view. Thanks a bunch! I hope to visit there one day. I do love to travel. I was raised by a mom who was traveling throughout her youth, then young adult years. She took us as kids and all through our years with her places usually back to the east coast, Canada and Mexico. I lived in Mexico for 6 months and then visited again for a month. I have now taken our kids there a couple times and they love to travel so much too! We drove from Las Vegas to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada back in 2017. My husband and I a couple years ago got to go for a couple weeks to Europe... to Denmark, Sweden, and Germany. What an amazing experience. We want to visit other European countries that we have never seen. Due to Covid restrictions, we will be waiting awhile for that. We had hoped to do that for our 20 year wedding anniversary this year. Instead we are taking our oldest child, a high school Senior to Hawaii in 18 days to visit her University on Oahu that she will attend in the fall. This will be our 2nd trip there. We went there for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We are getting excitied and hope and pray we do not catch Covid19 before hand. We have driven to Seattle a number of times since my husband is from there. We also have been to Portland and other areas like Multnomah Falls, Columbia River valley... the Dalles, and this last summer we went to Bend and then followed the coast all the way down to Santa Barbara, CA. and home. What adventures. Best wishes. I hope you can get out as well and have some fun! Thanks again for a great pc. Maggie
Comment: Ha! It is uninteresting! But I guess like the good old fashioned postcards - its nice for sending a little message to a friend without the increased postage of a letter, at at least it was a nice cheerful color!
Comment: Thank you for the pretty note card and extras. Thank you for the compliment on my name, I've never liked it so I use Dee as often as I can. I don't have to spell it when I tell people my name.
Comment: Thank you for the cheerful card, friendly note, and fun surprises! I too am so happy for spring to arrive, and I know the pain of waiting on remodeling after damage- I have temporarily lost a kitchen to a leak, and lost an entire home to a fire! I hope you are back to normal soon, it is a pain to be displaced from your home- or even a part of it as essential as the kitchen! Hope your new kitchen will be so worth the wait! <3
Comment: Received the resend today. Original still floating around the world somewheres. Thank you for the lovely note in a note card, post card and the wonderful kitty note. I appreciate your kindness.
Comment: Very cool Nashville postcard! Love the bluebird! I was in Nashville once for a conference, have always wanted to go back when I could explore more. I did visit a great indie bookstore -- Parnussas Books, co-owned by Ann Patchett. Thanks and Happy mails!
Comment: Thank you so much for the card and the extras! You were the first person I've received from since taking a break from swap bot, and it reminded me of how much I love getting snail mail! Thank you again (:
Comment: Hiya! Happy (early) Valentine's Day! I'll be opening my cards on Feb. 14th. :3 Thank you for the wonderful happy mail and I'm looking forward to opening my beautiful card. Take care and much love!!!
Comment: Hi! I think this is the right swap to rate from you... I didn't see the swap name on the card. But anyway, thank you for the Christmas card and the extra paper goods! These kinds of cards very much remind me of the cards I would see when I was younger, just without the glitter. Hope you and yours are enjoying the festivities of the season!
Comment: Thank you Doris for the vintage style Christmas PC. Loving it! I agree with you, things are different this year. I actually don't know how to even react to Christmas now. Because we always had big family gatherings. But no way can we do that now. We can't even leave our town. Because the Pandemic is here & we are on lockdown big time! It saddens me, that I can't see my 2 daughters & 1 son for the holidays & my grand kids. But I do have my other 2 sons that live here with us and also a nephew, who also lives here. We will make the most of it. Thank god, they invented online shopping. Because that's what I've done for Christmas gifts. I hope you get to spend Christmas with your loved ones. Take care & please be safe.
