This is becoming the "Bookmark of the Month Club," so keep your eyes open! One bookmark, to each of three partners. They can be handcrafted or purchased-but here's the catch: You will have to read your partners' profiles, because you have to customize the bookmark to their tastes. I like bluebirds and houses, the color purple, and Jimmy Buffet (for starters), so my partner might send me a bookmark with a margarita recipe on a purple bookmark, for example. (Note to my partners: don't use that idea! That would be cheating!) Remember, you will have a limited time to make this one, because you will have to read the profiles, but please don't let that discourage you from stinking ahead-and maybe checking your own profile for usable ideas. I will be doing my best to keep up with checking profiles for skunks, and I'll let you know if I think you need mroe information, but you may also get a note from your partner. Save us all the trouble, and make sure your profile is fun and informative-that way there will be more time to make your bookmarks really great. Agreed?

HOORAY!!!

I believe I have managed to set up a flickr.com group for this and other swaps I am hosting. My screen name is karenvan252541 (tedious explanation) and the group is called Swap-bot bookmarks. The forums are set up by the name of the swap, and there are just a few rules. Only first names or swap-bot ids are acceptable. You may post bookmarks you have received at any time. You may not post bookmarks you are sending until one week after you sent them. There are also forums for ideas, for sources, for books you arer reading and recommend, or don't, and for bookmarks you may have made or received that are not related to these swaps. I truly hope you will take advantage of this flickr group. Thank you!! Karen

What was the first artist you did? I missed that one and I would like to make a copy for myself of each style that I do. I actually made my card last night since I am on vacation and stuck in a hotel room all day with my puppy while hubby is at the convention. Of course I brought all my art stuff with me LOL.

I made the bookmarks I sent to my partners. Such fun. I enjoyed doing custom bookmarks to fit the likes of each person. I was able to use craft items I hadn't used in a long time. Thanks for a great swap!
