Description:
The swap is for absolute beginner zinesters...like me. (";) Of course, experienced zinesters are certainly welcome too, but should be aware that they may be receiving someone's very first effort, so everyone please be kind in rating and providing feedback. (";) Edited March 3 to change number of partners to 3 due to mailing costs for overseas partners. Your zine will be made from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper (or A4 paper which is 8.27" X 11.69"). It will have a back and a front cover plus 6 inside pages, each measuring 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". Please do not use a really tiny font that is difficult to read - focus on quality over quantity for this one. This is the tute we will use. Please also see this thread for links to tutorials and other helpful information on making and writing zines. We will either produce our zine on the computer so we can print out multiple copies, or do it by hand and either photocopy or scan/print it. Of course, there is also the option to produce it on the computer, enhance it by hand, and then photocopy or scan/print it. Sender's choice. The topic of your zine will be sender's choice as well. Choose something you are really interested in or know something about - it will be more fun that way! And remember, this is YOUR mini zine - you are the publisher, writer, artist, editor and printer - so fill it with whatever you like! Please note that since this is not a zine for sale, you do not have to create all of the content yourself --- you may include the work of others along with some of your own, as long you give proper credit. That's all I'm sayin'. (";)

What exactly do you mean with "I will adjust the number, of partners before partner assignment so that we all get a copy of each other's zines" if hm, 20 people will join?

Yes, if 20 people join, then we will all have 19 partners to send to. Since the zine can be mechanically reproduced and is only one sheet of paper, this should not be a problem - but if it is, then please don't join. (";).

I have changed the swap to 3 partners so that everyone can afford to do this swap if they want to. (";)

I plan to send my zine to all swap participants anyway - if anyone else wishes to do this too, please contact me for mailing info after partners are assigned. Thx.

Mailed finally very late today (may not be postmarked until tomorrow or Monday) and also sent a copy to everyone else in the swap, as promised.

Many thx to my partners for their patience while I got my Mac fixed and learned a new text software. (";)
