2x Harry Potter -DECO

I've never made a deco before. As I understand it, it's a little book in which I write my info and include blank pages, and eventually I get it back? Are there any rules about who gets to write in the one I receive? (Must I send it out in future swaps or can I get local friends to write inn it?)

Also, are there any size or page number requirements?

I love everything Harry Potter but I really would like more information before I join. What is a Deco? What size is it? What materials can you use? etc.

I'm also interested...are there restrictions on size, what we can use, etc? As I understand it, since it's a deco, eventually it returns to us?

@katekintail and @AnnetteG that's right, althou you don't need to make decos for yourself. I prefer makeing them for my deco-swapping friends ;) But yeah, they should return to the owner eventually (you or someone else). There is no set rules who can deco and who can not, but I'd suggest you to send them to someone who already swaps decos. Some 'newbies' might just forget to send the deco forward and the deco would not ever return to owner that way. There is no specific size requirements, you can actually make any size decos. Althou I'd suggest size between ~A6 to A5, something big enough to decorate well and something smallish that you can easely fit into 'normal' envelope. Plus smaller decos weight less and saves postage ;) Pagelimit is also undetermined, I'd say something between 4-8, but it's up to you @MizzKodak You can get somewhat good explanation of deco above. If you have done FBs/Friendships books, decos are like those, but you decorate whole page from the booklet and put your info there too and then send it to someone who swaps decos etc. Basically you can use any material you want, but keep in mind postal restrictions about some materials. As these decos tend to travel all around the world, heavy things like metal and forbidden substances should not be used. Just use your imagination and keep in mind the deco's theme

I'm sorry, but I'm still confused on what I need to do. I think I saw the Harry Potter and got excited and joined before I knew what I was doing. Can you break it down for me? I'm creating two little "booklets" that have Harry Potter related items on each page and sending them to my partners?

@sjmoran hmm, how to explaine this in english... as english azint my 1st language, I still have some problems to express myself as good as I wish. -So, you will basically create small Harry Potter themed booklet. On the cover you'll put something Potterish etc and inside you'll write the address of the owner. Owner of the deco can be you, your friend etc. But it should se some-one what does not get offended to receive the full deco back (so, basically the owner should be someone who swaps Decos/Friendshipbooks, as non-FB-swappers tend not to be interested/willing to reveice odd decorated booklets from strangers x) - After decorating the cover with Harry Potter and writing clearly address of the deco's owner, then you'll add about 4-6 pages for other participants to decorate.
(- When you get your partner's decos, you will decorate ONE page each with Harry Potter theme, put your address and send them to another deco-swapper)
