"Now that I have all this awesome kawaii... what can I DO with it?!"

Let's make kawaii slams! Slams are a type of Friendship Book where each page asks a different question. The book gets sent around to different people, and you can eventually get it back. It's a great way to get to know other swappers!

Be creative! You can use memo sheets (large, small, die cut, whatever!), lettersets, hand drawn pages, whatever you'd like. Just make sure that it is kawaii (the Japanese cute aesthetic).

  • You will have one partner. This is an international swap.

You will send the following items:

  • Send 3 kawaii slams. These can be the ones you received from a previous I LOVE Kawaii slam swap, new ones you've made, or a combination!
  • If you make a new slam, it can be for you or for your partner.
  • Do not send your partner slams they've already signed-in on.
  • Each slam should have at least 10 questions. Depending on how you make your slam, you might not have literally 10 pages, but we want a good amount of variety.
  • Be sure you understand what a slam is! You need a page with who made the slam and who to send it to when it's complete, plus a sign in page for each person to put their information. This is an example of a sticker flake slam - instead of pages with sticker themes, this swap will have pages of questions. These are a couple of slams I made with lettersets. You can ask anything you'd like! (But try to be respectful, of course.)
  • Include a note with the swap with the swap name and your username.
  • Please sign up for the next kawaii slam swap when the time comes so that you can pass on the slams! If we don't get our slams back, that would be sad. :( This will be one of our ongoing, monthly swaps.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • You must send the items in a way that they will not get bent or destroyed during shipping. I strongly suggest a cardboard mailer.
  • It's not required that you use brand kawaii, but don't use diddl, Disney, My Little Pony, etc... it should be true to the Japanese aesthetic. If you're not sure, PM me.
  • This is sender's choice, but it's always nice to look at your partner's profile for likes and dislikes! :)
  • No recent 1s or 3s.
PLEASE ask questions! If you send me a PM, that would be best. You can also look for support in the forum thread I created especially for these swaps! It's titled "Sticker Flake Slams", but I'll field any slam questions there.
I can angel this swap, but since this is a group swap, that shouldn't be necessary. :)
@weeatcrayons is helping me make my first 3 slam books. SO take it easy on me.. LOL. I'm a newbie! :)
Ok, I made my first 2. I only messed up a little on one of them. She gave me another one that's started to pass on. I love that girl, she's the best and I'm so lucky she's moved to my town. :)
Maybe, by the next ? Slam book swap I'll have mine looking as cute as all of yours!!!!
p.s. I love you guys.
Question. I'm having fun making these things so I'll have 1 or 2 extras by the time the swap deadline rolls around. Is it kosher to send extras or is sticking to the 3 very important? This is my first slam swap so I don't wanna mess it up!
I would ask your partner if it's okay. :) If you were sending to me, I would wonder how much it would cost to ship them all on so they keep going, you know?
And I'm by NO means an expert, lol! I just started too! I don't like to make mine super fancy... I'm afraid they'll get roughed up in the mail too much for that to matter. I'm looking forward to maybe getting some of yours sometime!
Awww Rachel, sniff sniff. I had loads of fun making them with you :). And if nothing else, save your extra ones for next month's swap!! You'll have em already to go! :)
Ok, yeah I didn't think about the shipping cost. Ok.. 3 it is. I'll just save extras for next month or send to my niece!! :)
