For our first swap let's make bottle cap magnets. These are fairly easy. If you have questions or need assistance don't hesitate to ask...that's what this group is for. Let's make 2 magnets to make it worth sending, but not too costly on postage. We will each have 2 partners for a total of 4 magnets. Try using different mediums: beads, pictures, charms, anything fun! Let's all try and post pics of our magnets here. You may make your own design and colors or wait until partners are assigned and make it to your partner's profile. The choice is yours. If you are in this group you are welcome to join so need for any other guidelines! Have fun!!!

Funny converation last night.

Me to BF: Hey sweetie, don't throw away the bottle caps on your beer.

BF: What? Why...not don't answer, I really don't want to know. {grumbles walking away} "Matchboxes, cutting up every magazine in site, buttton...now bottle caps. You really need to stop spending time on that swapping site"

He's gonna flip his lid, when I take my collection bucket to the superbowl party were going to. Cha-ching I feel like I'm hitting the jackpot.

CraftyDez~ That is just too funny!! But I love the way you think! One of the best places to get bottle caps is to just stop by a bar and ask them to empty the bottle cap holder into your plastic bag. I have never been told "no".

I have a question. I have only made a few bottlecaps for my one and only swap that I had been in. I tried smashing them to look cute but they make these caps out of titanium or ? because pound away as I was, the cap did not budge. How is everyone smashing them? Thank you. If I can figure it all out, I might join the group :) happy collecting.

I bought mine already smashed. But I know there are people who smash their own. Are you using regular beer bottle caps? I will see if I can find a tutorial...
