I Wish Letter Swap

This ain't your Mama's letter swap!!

This swap is a follow-up to the "100 Big Whopping Lies about Me'' swap. In Feb we exchanged illustrated/creative letters filled with horrendously bad lies about ourselves. This month -- we're going to write down Wishes. The sky is the limit!

Your letter should begin with the explanation of how you found a genie -- how did the genie appear, did it pop out of a bottle or the toilet?...what does your genie look like? Tell us all about it!! And then -- get to wishin' !! Your genie is feeling generous, and will grant you 20 wishes. These aren't the type of wishes where you ask for money and your entire family dies, leaving you insurance checks. No tricks -- no Twilight Zone. Just 20 wishes to spend on yourself, or whoever you wish. The usual rules apply......(cue Aladdin music)....no wishing for more wishes...only 20. Your genie cannot raise the dead. And Your genie cannot make anyone fall in love with you, and your genie will not kill anyone for you. Other than that -- the sky is the limit!!

This is a light hearted swap. Have fun with it! The main part is: BE CREATIVE!!! Letters can be handwritten or typed. Don't just send out a plain list of wishes.....Your letter must be illustrated in some way. Decorate and personalize your wishful pages with drawings, doodles, stickers, funny photos, quotes....whatever will add... ummph to your wishes, and the story of your personal genie. Then put your wish list into an envelope and mail them to your partner -- maybe good karma will grant some of your wishes in return for you being a super swap partner!!!!

This is a swap that involves creating and sending out personal artwork that takes a lot of time to create. Swappers will be exchanging something that they invested their time and artistic spirit to create. PLEASE do NOT join this swap if you do not intend to send your letter!! It's one thing to flake out on a pen pal swap.....it's a much bigger deal to flake out on something that involves someone's personal ARTWORK. GRRRR!! (Run, flakers, Run!) Flakers will be listed on the Flakers forum and will be subjected to extreme bad Karma. Life does happen sometimes....we all understand that. If you have to send late, let your partner and me know that you will be mailing late and then send out your letter!!! Don't just disappear and not send! Joining a swap, receiving your item and then not sending is STEALING!!!!

Because this exchange involves artwork, no unrated newbies. If you're a newbie and this exchange sounds fun to you ..... there will be other similar exchanges posted each month. Get some ratings on your profile, and join us when you are eligible. Pay your dues...then join the cool folks. ha ha :o) Minimum rating to join this exchange is 4.9. All participants must have no unexplained 1 ratings, no 1s in the past year, and no 3 ratings in the past 30 days. I will check profiles before assigning partners, and I reserve the right to ban anyone that seems suspicious. Those who don't fulfill the requirements will be removed from the swap before partners are assigned.

DO NOT FLAKE!!!! Flakers make me MAD!! If you flake, not only will your swap partner give you a 1 rating, but as swap coordinator, I will make sure that lots of people know you flaked. I have a zero tolerance for no-sends, especially in a swap that involves personal artwork, and only a small amount of postage.
