For the purposes of this swap, what timeframe are we considering as vintage? I have things from the 1890's - 1950's...

That is a hard question, lol.. I think all of us "Vintage" swappers generally see Vintage as Victorian or from 1920's, etc... But I am always thrilled when I get a "Retro" type piece as I love it. I think I will say that "Vintage" would be anything that is at least 50 years old, so "Retro" counts.

The word "vintage" is often used instead of "antique" to differentiate the two. Antique typically applies to things over 100 years old, though some sources recognize items 50 years an older as antique. I would be comfortable considering something 25+ years old vintage - honestly even less depending on the item. If the item was part of a fad that is certainly passed, I'd call that vintage.

How do people feel about print outs of vintage items? I am not crazy about getting swaps that are made primarily of print outs.

I don't mind print-outs if they are of excellent quality, and not really artificially "colorized." I like to distress/antique my print-outs to make them look older, but of course using real items is the ultimate. :)
