Description:

This is the sixth in the series in which you create an ATC in the style of a famous artist. First we did Klimt, Warhol, Matisse, Picasso and O'Keeffe. This swap is for art inspired by Salvador Dali.

Dali was a Spanish artist who is best known as a Surrealist painter. Although he later moved into classic art, this swap will focus on his surrealist style. For more information on this style, please visit www.surrealist.com

You will create one ATC for one partner in the style of Dali's surrealist paintings. Remember, you are not using one of his pieces of artwork, but are creating original art reminiscent of his style. You can draw, paint, collage or use digital collage to create this piece.

Standard ATC rules apply, and you must have a good rating of 4.9 or higher. No flakers or sticker slappers.

Future artists in this series may include Monet, Degas and others. If you have a favorite, I am open to your suggestions! I will keep this series going as long as there is interest.

How comes, that I missed so many great swaps - and I have to miss few of them in near future? SO not fair! But how about Mucha later? (As later as possible...) And Escher?

Wow!!! What a difference in his techniques as the years went on!! I can see now and understand why you preferred our creations to be in Dali's earlier years of his art. I read so much about him and looked at many portraits he created. So many are so far out there my mind had difficulty understanding his work.

I just finished my ATC and this was a wonderful challenge for me. First time ever creating a sketch in black and white with chalks and pencil. I so much appreciate this art series you are hosting. I have learned so much and my mind and abilities to create "outside of my norm" have been opened. :-)

Thank you for saying this, @ransom I've had fun with it, too!
