FYI: The image shown won't always depict the color for each swap, they are only examples, make sure to pay attention to what color each swap is:)

I'm really fond of making Altered Text ATCs. They are quite simple and fun to come up with the end result. The rules are pretty basic. Make a standard size ATC and use a book page as your foundation. Maybe attach a piece of cardstock under your book page to help make your ATC stronger. You will then make up your own phrase, sentence, story, etc out of the words on the book page you have on your ATC. The image I've chosen is simple and basic but yours can be more elaborate or even more abrubt and to the point. Your chosen text can be vague and abstract in a way as well.

You can use a book page, magazine page, any type of page. Essentually you'll be making a random phrase or sentence from various words on your page. If you are using foreign language pages, please include what your phrase/chosen text means and says.

Once you've figured out your phrase, sentence, story or what have you, you'll attach them all together so that your partner can see your chosen text. Once you've done this your next job is to coat it with SILVER...Try for SILVER but gray would be acceptable. It can be any silver/gray tones. Think paint, markers, glitter, any type of covering with color is just fine. You can add embellishments, stamps, stamped images, images, or anything you'd like. OR you can keep it simple like the ATC pictured.

Since I've seen great interest, we will be doing tons of these, once I assign partners for all swaps, I will post the next one so please check it out if you want to join!

This ATC is senders choice but it is always nice to check out your partners profile and perhaps create this ATC based on their style. For example, I'm a spooky gal and I like spooky things so you could, IF you wanted, create one that would be profile based. HOWEVER, you don't have to, you can make it any way you choose!!!!

You will have two partners to send one ATC to, for a total of 2 ATCs.

I'm putting a rating of 4.9 allowed because everyone deserves second chances.

Just in case my comment is missed in the Blue swap: I missed sign up for Altered Text #2 Blue due to being in the hospital and my daughter being in the NICU. I did the first one and I'm doing this one. Is anyone willing to do a private Blue Altered Text ATC swap with me so I dont miss #2?

I just want to be sure that I understand the basics. Silver/grey has to be the DOMINANT color, right? (So no other color should be present?) Thanks!! Just want to be sure I do it right!

@luvdmb36 yes silver/gray is the dominant color, you want to make sure that your chosen saying/sentence/story is seen the most, while the color I've chosen is seen in all other areas. No other colors than silver/gray, however the embellishments can be other colors;) Here is an example of what most Altered Text ATCs look like, this was the one before this one:

@ixykix I am going to do all colors, color combos, ones with images, etc. However, I like your themed ones. It makes people think harder! The green one was before the blue one. I am doing private swaps for those who missed the blue one. You may get people to join who missed out;)

This should be a type three swap. Type 3 is package OR CRAFT and as these are hand crafted, they qualify even though flat. Just like a hand made bookmark or greeting card. I do hope you will change it. Rachel also left directions in the forums (it was ages ago) saying that ATCs are 3s so it's not just MHO. Thanks!

Maybe since so many make ups seem to be needed, the coordinator could run a make up half way through the series or at the end. I'm just starting now too.
