Description:

We can learn so much history from postcards and not just the front either! So, for this swap we will "not" concentrate on the front of the PC. Turn those vintage cards over; and find one with some interesting dialog written to the recipient.

My example was posted in 1930. The traveler boasts about staying in a cabin at Crater Lake Oregon; it has electric lights (just imagine) hot and cold running water, inside toilet and shower, and a wood stove. All of this for only $4/ for two days!

Now, see if you can top that piece of history! (Please translate into English if the card has another language). Mail it in an envelope and be sure to identify the swap and your user name.

When you receive your postcard, please post some interesting information from it in the comments below. Who knows - There may even be a contest brewing for the top sender and receiver : )

Recap: Send 1 Vintage (3.5 x 5.5) PC, with interesting information on the back (the older the better) to one partner. Rate your partner when the PC is received and then post some information in the comments section from the back of the card you received.

Today, 4/23, I received a nice linen card mailed in 1947. It pictures a mountain side carving which reminds one of Mt. Rushmore, but this is a monument to the Confederacy, with Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson and color bearer. The card and history is all new to me. Thank you @young46356
